7 Ballon d'Ors, 7 Fifa the best. Some people wear the number, and some earn and win it.

Leo loves the number 7️⃣!!!! The very best to ever kick the round leather.
Messi is literally living Pendu's dream. To add insult to injury, Fifa showed an image of Ronaldo on the Portuguese bench looking grumpy during the award process.

GOAT is the best. It even seems Mbappe has come to terms with that and is bonding better with Messi now.

This just reeks of a set up. You went to a celebrity's house after romantically exchanging chats with him and immediately after he tried to romance you you are already sending texts with a third party.

Why did you go to his house as a stranger if you did not expect things to go romantic?

Banking on Messi to win it. The World Cup has to count for something and his season form hasn't been bad either with 17goals and 16assists already.

But mehn, FiFA World best award has been completely overtaken by Ballon dor in relevance. It's not even trending in Nigeria when the ceremony has already started.

Lol Rivers State votes have always been massively rigged since 2015. I remember in 2015 when Wike's thugs were shooting and killing APC voters so blatantly at polling units. He miraculously manufactured 1.4million votes for GEJ then.

No be today Wike start.

We are keenly watching!!
Oga, add the numbers yourself for LP in the "real" results you shared and you'd see that it tallies more with the tv results than the fabricated total for LP in the same sheet you shared.

If anything, what you shared is an evidence of rigging by LP or a fake result which I suspect it is.

Lol, why wont he score 3 when he is playing against construction workers in an abysmal 67th rated league in the world.

For those who dont know, the Damac that he played against is a construction firm in the middle east. I had a transaction with them once. The club is a side hustle or CSR program for the firm which is why they dont even have a logo.

FOOTBALL CONSPIRACIES EVERYONE THINKS

1. Neymar fakes an injury every year to be with his sister on her birthday

2. Sergio Busquets has been 34 years old for the past 10 years.

3. Jamie Vardy doesn't play football anymore but still ends up with 10+ goals every season

4. People with the surname ‘DEMBELE’ have a 99.9% chance of playing professional football

5. No one has seen Carlo Ancelotti celebrate a goal .

6. Kylian Mbappe went from 18 to 23 years within a year.

7. Premier league referees make bad decisions on purpose to give the media something to talk about.

8. Donnarumma has been 23 years since 2016.

9. Dybala went from age 21 to 29 overnight

10. Guillermo Ochoa only plays international football

11. Jesse Lingard is still 23 years old

12. The Belgium National team have never had a left back

13. Casemiro pays a percentage of his wages to referees to avoid receiving yellow cards.

14. James Ward Prowse only gets noticed in a game when he scores freekick.

15. Heung Min Son cries at everything even when he has s*x
grin As much as I'd hate to admit it, it does seem Neymar is perennially cursed in February. He has carried ligament injury again and will miss the 2nd leg vs Bayern.

Raphinha is our best passer of the in the attacking third. I trust him more to locate his teammate and give the best possible pass than Dembele.
Raph just needs to be consistent with his form and not be yoyo like Dembele. Atimes, it seems both their brains are powered by the same source.

He has 16 G/A already. His whipped crosses/cross-shots are a problem for opponents. Before Ferran don try calculate the next best space to move into, Raphina ball don reach Lewy inside box 6.

Raph is in form, it would be criminal to drop him for Ferran now.

Messi will get the praises meanwhile Kylian Mbappe was the real hero for PSG today. Always trying to make every other player lives in his shadow.
Lol Need I remind you of a certain player who removed shirt, clenched six pack and did Siu on top scoring a meaningless 4th penalty goal in the UCL final and subsequently overshadowed the true heroes Ramos, Bale and Di Maria that won that final for Madrid. And he's done that several times in his career.

A free kick is not a penalty Bruv. It takes exceptional brilliance to score a last minute F.K. So Messi deserves the f*ckin GOATed attention.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ThierryJay: 12:18am On Feb 20, 2023
Despite Ferran's impressive performance tonight I believe Raphina should still start ahead of him at Old trafford. His style is more direct.

Cant believe I'm pinning my hope on Raph whom I've heavily criticized this season.

Why would you choose not to vote your fav because he messed up?
Do you know how many times Phyna effed up last season yet her fans pin for ground. I can never abandon a fave I have chosen to Stan on a voting day because he/she messed up.
You are right, but there are different category of stans. Some initially liked Yemi cos of his playboy strategy, some because of his trysts with Blue. So these groups would most likely not have voted last week because of Yemi's sole attachment to Khosi.

Be that as it may, I believe Yemi is still not too far from the top even with 15%. Based on the results it means the top 3 shared 71% which could likely mean that the highest pair did not get more than 25%.

With rededicated voting Yelissa can close this gap especially if Yemi rediscovers form. So Yemi fans should not relent and abandon him now. He will still likely make top 5 and who knows from there what could happen.

Roland17:
My argument and position is not predictive or futuristic, it is purely based on facts.

Games are calculated by "matchdays" in European football, at least I know and not "matchweekends", that is the first and perhaps the most important thing to note in this debate. No one ever debates the EPL, including TV analysts using weekend 1 or weekend 2, they use Matchday 1, 2 and so on.

The irrefutable fact is that after matchday 21 and having played the same number of games, Arsenal led City by 8 points. Any point accrued in future games is another matchday, except the game is an outstanding game which wasn't the case.
Sorry for barging into this argument, but you need to match apples with apples. While you are right that Arsenal led City by 8 points after 18 matchdays, Jodera is also right with his assertion.

The fact is that Arsenal did not bottle an 8 point lead, they bottled a 5 point lead instead.

This is simply because City had played one more match at the point of overtaking Arsenal.

To put this in better context, imagine that after matchday 18, Arsenal for whatsoever reason did not play the next 3 games at all while City played and won all three(9 points). It would be wrong to say Arsenal bottled an 8 point lead in that instance because City being top is on account of playing more games.

There are reports of some banks collecting the old 500/1000 notes today without customers filling any CBN online form. Wont this defeat the purpose of the procedure laid down by CBN? Implementation has always been the issue with Nigerian initiatives.

I don't think Kanaga was extremely insensitive, he'd have worded his speech a bit better but it came from a place of good.

The root of that speech emanated from weeks ago when they first got paired and Tsatsii came to him to complain on how Ebubu feels left out and isolates himself because of his skin color and how people doesn't want to be close to him growing up. So, Kanaga told Tsatsii that he understood where Ebubu is coming from, having heard and had experiences with people like him. He encouraged Tsatsii to talk to Ebubu and be more close to Ebubu so he doesn't feel left out. That she'd tell him that they are all one and he deserves to be there as much as anyone.

He also told Tsatsii that he'd have talked to Ebubu about Ebubu isolating himself (Ebubu) because he feels the HMs don't want to associate with him, but it'd be like Tsatsii came to reveal to him (Kanaga) what Ebubu is going through and it'd amount to betrayal as Ebubu confided in Tsatsii in private about it.

Here is an excerpt from that discussion. The discussion was very long but this is like few minutes.

https://mobile.twitter.com/blahbiddiboop/status/1617623289979080705/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1617623289979080705&currentTweetUser=blahbiddiboop

So, Kanaga used last night to encourage Ebubu as he couldn't say it to him personally so it wouldn't feel like Tsatsii had told him of the struggles which Ebubu confided in her. So, he might not worded it very well, but he meant no harm.
I actually know that Kanaga intended to make Ebubu feel good with his comment. However, there are some sensitive things that are better left unsaid in the public space if you cannot communicate it with perfect tact.

Imagine if you are the only black person at your workplace in the UK and a colleague stood up to praise you publicly for handling relationships and representing well despite being a black person. That will be 100% socially awkward despite the best intentions.

What Kanaga did is a social gaffe. He should have found a tacit way to speak with Ebubu privately and instill confidence. Ebubu might have felt a bit bad for his pigmentation being under the spotlight and might even consider Kanaga's flowery attempts as patronizing.

Nonetheless, the issue isnt worth crucifying Kanaga over since it wasnt intentional. He is a good guy with great vibes and a potential winner.

i watched the game at a garden not too far from my house. After the first half, I told the person that sat close to same thing. This present arsenal would not allow Bayern dominate them to this point. It was a one sided game until few mins before Mbappe’s intro.

They should just hire a coach that will build a team for them. Spending ridiculous amount to sign superstars is not the solution.

From the look of things, Man City would win UCL before PSG. They need a bit of luck to win cos they’ve been playing well in the past few seasons.
I'm actually rooting for Man City to win it cos I dont see how PSG can win with their structural issues.

PSG needs creative quality midfielders. The team is basically 7 defenders and the three musketeers.

Imagine the only world class midfielder they have is Verratti. If they had a Bernado Silva plus a Valverde Federico or Odegaard alongside Verrati, then you'd see the true might of the MMN trio.

Making Messi to deputize an attacking or central midfielder is self-limiting. It's like they completely neglected the midfield department in their recruitment.

The coach is not tactically smart. Messi was not exactly at his best but he was much better than Neymar. What exactly is wrong with Neymar?
Bro, I dont understand Neymar. His decision making is like a pendulum oscillating between the good and the very bad. Such a waste of fine talent.

Why run into 2 or 3 players when you have an option to pass into free space? Na wetin Messi at 35 plus take pass him and Mbappe be that: football sense.

Messi would have been much more effective if Neymar linked up with him better rather than looking for trouble with Bayerns defenders.

when I saw the way Bayern outplayed them in the first half, I knew it was only a matter of time before they get the first goal and it was after they had conceded, the coach thought it wise to introduce Mbappe & Vitinha.

Did you see how the game changed after Bayern’s goal? Imagine PSG attacking Bayern before they conceded, they would most likely have scored and Mbappe’s intro for just close the game.
For sure. Don't get why he's using an inexperienced 16 year old in a match of this magnitude when Vitinha is there.

Anyway, I'm not a PSG supporter but Messi's, so if the
Coach likes he should mess up the return leg again. And in all honesty I enjoyed Messi's play mostly yesterday as he served some wow dribbling moments along with some intelligent passing. Just wished Neymar was on the same wavelength.
