BusinessRe: 300 Million Naira Mistakely Paid Into One's Account by thimbook2(m): 8:29pm On Jul 23, 2007
hey, isn't it all funny? N300M in his account? and he didn't bail out first to go hide somewhere for 3 months, or u don't think it mighta been yahooze money just been placed on hold there or 'mis-paid' into his account,

anyway, i think its a fibe cos there's no way N300m of hardworking pple's cash will get wrongly paid into some account like that and nobody would come looking for it,

but in case its not a fibe you'd better tell ur friend to hire one or two bodyguards cos there's might just be a bullet speeding around out there with his name on it!

Poems For ReviewRe: Original Love Poems by thimbook2(m): 2:37pm On Mar 12, 2007
Baby Love (Trippin' Me)

Its dawn again and I think of you
The candle light flickering lightly playing by the gusts of air blowing in thriugh
my window telling me this morning's weather info that
as sure as the light I see will come it will rain today.
I see the rain's droplets dripping down the window pane off into the street 5 floors below
and thank God, its doesn't rain anymore all the way down like it used to trickle down the very depths of my soul
No, you took care of that; your eyes took care of the drippy founts;
The lads at the home office say there's a bounce to my steps
especially that other bloke who normally mis-spells your name
but if they knew you like I do, I'm sure they'll get a jump too
Or if they thought of you the way I love to do, they'll miss you more than I do;
I'll soon be off to work and I'll call you soon
'cos its your eyes that brighten my way as the day goes by
you pulled the drapes and let the sun in my soul
and that word "love" is light in telling what i feel for you.
Its dawn again and I'm sure I'll have a bright blue day
clearer the more because i woke up to see you smiling at me from that picture frame you gave last summer;
So dear you are to me you make my heart stronger, my hope surer,
soon soon together we'll be forever
we'll stay together and go much further
hey, gotta go
the kettle whistles of my morning wake-up brew,
but for me its a good day for me already
'cos the real stuff tickling me is you.

/Your voice is not the sweetest i've heard

Maybe its your smile which brightens me up/

Nice, really nice. captures the feel and texture of the fabric of love.

Poems For ReviewHi-tech Love by thimbook2(op): 10:07pm On Mar 11, 2007
Hi N'landers, been outta synch for a while but came back wiv some tidbits for da house. Have you ever wondered what would happen 2 most of this our affaires, relationships and entire romantic landscapes without the aid of our tech-stuffs. we try so hard to draw lines between the arts and sciences, logic and sentiments yet when it comes to these areas, there's a blur, aint it? I for one know I've kissed my 3G phone a coupla times just 'cos I could squeeze out a text to my cutie even in tha quaintest of places. plus some girls have been none to fall primarily for your ride, crib or bank account and you, afterwards, by proxy. For or against, i guess i'll stand with hitech love. /I know Its far from a being a verbal work of art but i'm just trying to express a thot/

ciao

Hi-Tech Love

Its a modern type love we have, Baby
with all the strappings of our cyber-gizmos.
Its a hi-tech love we share honey and I'm not in any way complaining
Running through my mind for the itinerary of the day's no longer efficient without my PDA to do it with
And you couldn't possibly jog in the morning without your Blackberry 'cos your boss
might call in for that brief or file;
Timing and scheming our lives in perfect synch is what we've been doing this little while…
Us Duo, U my princess in a nice cut suit, I your knight with a snazzy gleaming ride and a tall resume, See, the paradigms
have truly shifted for us
We, Like those cooties in Life Support in the Matrix everyone we know is hooked in to the rat-race machine
All rushing running, walking talking, dreaming scheming, driving flying, people wishing, none watching, all hiking;
We try, I know, we try to keep it all in focus with all these "certifications" littering our corporate growth stair-paths;
And biorhythms, Work cycles, efficiency quotients, leadership challenges, market indices finding their place in our mindscapes;

Its a hi-tech space we breathe in baby 'cos we can't vacation for a day or 2 at th
e Ski resort without our Notebooks -
No! they have to come along too, the whole 120 gigabytes worth of them, all crammed up with this life's distractions,
And the tiny beepers that make bosses and team-mates suddenly appear all-ubiquitous - they're here too!
And I remember that funny one when your's had to ring right out loud just after the Preacher had us say the "I Do's".
And I can't forget you saying a big NO! to my automating my whole crib then, why?
You said it was gonna make me ‘soft, too dependent on button and beeps , a man should be a man!’, you said.
Can't forget and thanks gyrl, I appreciate that!
But so many times I'm on the road and all alone, its this hi-tech buddies who keep me up with you
Remember how we celebrated my new BMW M3i-x not just for its beauty sake but also for the inbuilt internet and video-phone
And all the endless hours you've made my days by just being on your cam in town while I'm cruising the states
You, touring with me, sharing with me, talking with me, God!, its a wonder how you ever find the time for me or I for you…
Chatting on phone, browsing with the refrigerator and never out of credit or doe as we float through stratas of raises and suave career moves;
Thats our hi-tech dream Baby, just the two of us, kept in rhythm by God, bless these PDA's and ring tones telling the schedules
We're both focussed on keeping these goals SMART, specific, measurable, y'know, all of that talk about retiring early 'cos stock exchange's calling and 57% ROI is good for starters;
And its not just us but the whole nations too
These daddies out at 90hrs/week jobs and mom's got no time, even, to make the meals?
Gadgets here there and all over the place for telling the time, setting the hours or getting to places
And kids being born with more smartness pre-installed in them but growing up as game-freaks who end up atimes no better
Remote controls and clickers everywhere for everything but none for the real things that matter
And little RFID plastic implants for your passport, your stuff, your pets, the kids and finally you in your palm or forehead, sure, it don’t get no better?!
Though atimes I too wonder where all this is heading but I have no fear to tell you my smiles for you will stay good;
In all the weathers my love for you, for us, for Him, is true
In Hands that use no wrist watches I've placed my all including us
Before His Eyes that need no binoculars, our path’s unhidden protected
In His grace that sources from no known factories we'll ride triumphing in His plan -
His Spirit’s within us where no scanners can pick our thoughts or know our joys
As always, He will show the light and lead the way…
Out of our Hi-tech jungles in to the clear blue skies of love and life for all its worth in all its worth.

RomanceRe: What Are The Most Dangerous Mistakes Men Make With Women by thimbook2(m): 8:13pm On Dec 23, 2006
1. drooling all over her like u were some sick lovestruck racoon, that's bad for business. gives u off like u were some geek who's on the needy side besides a girl'll have more time for a guy in charge of his own reality than some dude whose all over her like a mouse on cheesecake - point made!

2. acceding to her every demands, that's a real boat sinker. be yourself, and put your foot down wherever and whenever u need to, friendship's by choice, but then that may very well swing in the direction of what u looking for, then the odds would be attacked in different ways and u might end up not needing all these precautions, likely scenario?, conning ur way into a one night-stand.

3. getting all souped up in her superchick image / getting carried away / etc - no! stick to the things that mark you out as an individual, and give concessions where necessary as choices made to give ur relationship/friendship a chance or boost it rightly needs.

4. hasty assumptions, sometimes da ladies just wanna talk, play or just have fun like da song says but too many guys would jump the gun cos of the two text messages she sent you, haha! Heh, use that brain, man and interpret actions for what they are instead of just jumping to conclusions, many a sweet thing are ruined, crushed at their nascent stages cos of that immature declaration or display of affection before its time is due.

5. rambling, bad, man, that's bad too. some gyrls need it straight in between the eyes but ah guess some gees are like badgers, they tunnel straight for down-under first and miss the mark. girls are quite intuitive and a lot of them started getting hit-on by big egbons even before u were thru with lacing boots and they can smell ur game like it was a skunk @ close range so going round and round in circles's a turn-off for them. lose ur cautions and talk or u risk looking weak and u losing the girl, and we don't want that to happen, do we?

6. gifts gifts gifts!, rushing around buying stuff may not buy u that spot on her priority list especially if u've not made that 'connection' with her on the levels that really count yet. lottsa girls are easily bought over though (especially the chicken head types) so its up to you but if u really looking for something tangible, make ur gifts tokens and give them with reasons that'll always inspire great memories of u in her heart.

7. lame lines, think but what u wanna say or need to say be4 u say'em or clam up. don't fear the silence, most times, if u get it right sef, it gives u off as more confident, sure, focussed than u even really are. just chatting crap to fill in the 'silence' gap's not cool and so is handing out cliches, if she really is worth whatcha want from her or wanna give to her, then she should've inspired some few original thots in u, Stop bugging these ladies down with ur borrowed cliches and crammed text messages, get original and get da chick, its ur cake, man.

there's a whole host of stuffs that'd trip u up with ladies and, no you will not be reading bout them in my book - how to get the gals- no, u'll read them in da dame's eyes.

ciao

for 1, i'm not takin "Reverend" seriously on his comments (and this aint personal) neither am i gonna let my Li'll Sis anywhere near U but I believe for fairness sake some ladies should look more inwards before dressing up for tha road,

some of them dont even know tht their dressing's giving off the fact that they've got  psychological /emotional inadequacies which they try to over-compensate for with the see-thru dressing; some just wanna belong cos their sense of self-identity is largely eroded, undeveloped or simply not there, and why not too?, when the provision for them to develop that internal constitution isn't provided, aint it the fad now to let the media raise kids for u?

was in a party recently and there were these "things" who were so eager to show off their "thangs" that conversations started amongst us guys that eventually landed some of my pals in trouble wiv their ladies, cos we sounded so harsh and hard on them girls, but so what, how u dress really does affect the way u seen, and if we must come to the biological brass tacks, its really all about "rods & holes, if u flaunt it like a ho', then expect da rods to wanna prod"!
FamilyRe: Help I Think I Might Be Pregnant! by thimbook2(m): 10:14am On Nov 02, 2006
nope, i dont think u're pregnant though ur anxiety's making u a lot worse. u'd start noticing symptoms that'd probably secondary developments of other things, stay put, try that home kit stuff u bought, or better still try confiding in someone and takin a test in a clinic far enuf from where u stay sha :oO!!!!!!!!!!!!! cos that limits tha possibilities of ur peeps gettin to know ehn? , and try stayin off tha "chocolat" till u ready for it, u sound like a good one, stay that way and let lover boy zip up too,

TravelRe: Refusal Of UK Study Visa by thimbook2(m): 6:52pm On Oct 30, 2006
yep, those guys are making an insane amount of money off innocent 9gerians wanting in on on the UK action, but what can u do, when the irony of it all is that tha folks who are fake get given visas and sincere guys lose out, i've seen as many as 12 cases like that, guys with faked statemens of accounts, trumped up accounting papers, invoices and business papers of companies backed up with tax papers, stage-managed marriage pictures and faked local govt registry certificates, "arrangee" uncles/aunts and next of kins in the UK to issue letters of Invitation to them, the whole woxs, they are partially encouraging corruption in the 9ja system, which aint fair at all

and the Refusal reasons often stated by Entry Clearance OfficerS?!!!! Lawd, it'll make u wish u could see those blokes face to face and tell them where to shove their points, its all lies, often all lies, they almost presume to be God over ur fate, are they not, come and see the way we prayed and prayed then? 4what? VISA of course, not becos we were that crazy and desperate initially but because as the process wore on and we thought of what we'd spent, it was inconcievable that we be refused,

u fit blame them?, is it not the system that's creating the pains that people are running away from?

true man, which kind thread be this, after all aint guys supposed to have better things doing and saying, anyway, dont wanna get shot but i think its fairly even, some guys smell so rank even a skunk'll smell them and run from a mile off while guys generally have issues with tidiness, plates in da sink, dirty socks hidden here and there, loaded closets etc and other house cleaning wahala, in short they have the whole place smelling like a sewage pit grin shocked in no time, ran a girls hostel for 5 years once so i know and initially had to switch to girls-only and stopped taking boys after the 2 years in tha biz so i've seen soemthing of both worlds angry sad tongue,

Poems For ReviewWhen The One U Love Does Not… by thimbook2(op): 3:43pm On Oct 23, 2006
When the One U Love does not…

Prologue
How does life feel when The One you're loving is out of reach
No! not out of sight but simply out of reach!
Like the goldfish would not marry the gold-finch
not because of their unwillingness to go hand in hand in love
but a difference of worlds pulling them farther and farther apart;

Verse I

How does the heart fare when the one you’re needing doesn’t know
maybe couldn’t know, see, feel or worse still couldn’t care?
much like walking by the restaurant’s  glassed fronts and staring in through the glass
seeing sparkling glasses clinking and rings slipping coyly into fingers
watching destinies defined, futures refined in moments of loving gestures
and you turn only to stare at your boots with a hopeful sigh…
yes, a hope that one day will surely come soon
when the light, surely, will turn your way in full brightness
and love’s sweet dews will refresh your spirit and warm your heart.

But how does it sound when the one you’re loving couldn’t hear you anyway,
maybe you’re that pauper loving the princess, or the underling 'crushed' on her liege or u're caught in one
of such one thousand and one other narrowed straits;
Or are you that Coca Cola Guy who surmised that “guys like me don’t get girls like her”
why? ‘Cos she’s chic, she’s cute, she’s just the smartest brightest coolest gyrl in the world!”
and more? She’s fun but what is not funny is that she’s not looking ur way now…

So how does it feel when the gist right now’s not about how to get her heart, no, not yet
but just to linger on in the halfway span of how it feels
when she dances right past and your heart gets caught in your throat
or he flashes his ’32 gleaming ones’ and the world stops for a second, time freezing into eternity
and to say ‘hi’ you sputter and choke out “he-he-hello” like a jump-started ride
eyes popping when you wipe your sweaty palms again and again to be sure she’s right there before you
and when she turns and smiles, “ha!” the sleepy butterflies in your tummy start playing ball
so how does it feel then when the only thing she does say is “hi and bye?!”
and you’re not bold or time’s not ripe enough to spew forth the words but only to stare and only watch her fly by, ?

Verse II Coming Soon
To be Continued…

NB: Did I hear some one say "VerseII!!!!!", yep! Like writing some of this stuffs atimes, got loads of them, and they never fail to gimme a good laff later when i bump into them in some corner of my harddrive or the other,
happened i had a crush like that back in high school and couldn't quite break it into the real thing, do try sending in some of ur own "gushers" too plus a critique of this one, form style, diction, lang etc,

babygirl, i envy ur bf wink tell'im to keep up or risk competition from my end too,

By the way,

Ur poem reads like fine aged wine poured from a silver chalice
into a willing mouth
Warming the heart and giving place to hope and all those other stuffs that makes the heart feel so secure;
like a warm glow bordered on edges by promises of romance and a lovefilled night
and what's more, a hand in yours always to stay when morning comes;
It reads like that winding trail leading to your favorite spot quietly overlooking the lake where
the first kiss was shared
and the picnic that fused two gladdened hearts
and the solemn oaths were traded and meant by hearts even the minds behind them had not yet known the ways of life yet
It reads like its gonna be worth trying for
with each realistic step nearer it making it worth dying for
it reads like "oops!, i've gotta stop b4 ur bf comes after me in my dreams shocked"

anyway, go gyrl, like ur poem and wont mind liking you too wink

Poems For ReviewCryptic Love Rhymes: Tell Me Sidi by thimbook2(op): 9:15pm On Oct 11, 2006
Tell Me Sidi sad

Tell me Sidi
Is it true while I slaved away
Wiping my brow and feeding the veldts
With the saltiness of my sweats
Is it so that
While I plodded along from bus to tube with the Queen’s Times News under my arm
And Ben frowning overhead tolling the passageway of youth’s time
Tell me, just tell me
For I heard Si Bang saying Ma Bosworth overheard them telling it
With the sureness of feet planted on dear mother earth
That they foreswore with the urgency of the hearts beating in them
That the story must surely be true
That while in my chest beats the best of hearts sincere
And in my top left coat pocket your picture stays with me to cheer this my scholarly worker’s brow
by night’s oil or day’s toil,
Tell me, is it true
That while, to you, my letters still come to time and halved paycheck per month
That your feet have learnt at the dance to sway to other rhymes and
your coy dimply smiles, now are, barbed with darts
Piercing the heart just when the mind goes off its guard;
And your hips, oh, they sway now rhythmically nudge ever so gently by strangers’ hands
Strangers hands and minds fond of groping like blind men wandering
All across the landscape of fine-toned female forms
Ha! Sidi, tell me, do not fear my sadness but spare my pain
That while I toiled and plotted as to how my ring to get your fingers to fit
You were busy fitting in to other roles of your own
Tell me Sidi my love,
Is it true that while I’m here loving your mind, body and soul
And remain here still, toiling in the paleface’s land to make our dream so
Tell me Sidi: Is it true that you were at your busiest
Loving other men.  tongue cry

NB: I like writing these rustic kinda stuffs, if you've got, pls post 'em, i sure will like to see, read and laff grin!
