nice contributions all; but one factor we might have to consider is that 1. would there be responsible management of such databases, couldn't it even be remotely possible that even you or any other threader here could one day be a victim of falsifications and pranks using the same database, 2. how would we ensure that the boundaries of privacy, personal freedom, expression and association would be safeguarded?, before calling for such upgrades, do you yourself think you could trust the average law enforcement officer in Naij to do right on good conscience and principles by you or your family? and in case you don't wanna deceive yourself, dontcha think there's no justice in naija? in a naija where people get shot and framed for not agreeing to drop 50bucks at the checkpoint, you wanna go and drop your personal info in a relatively insecure (i could surmise) database that could be tapped into, hacked in to at will, afterall fellas dey enter NSA, DoD even CIA like play like play atimes? 3. aren't you just chilled at the way the bill itself has been framed?, sounds martian even as a proposal, stiff penalties, punishment of jail terms for not disclosing your name and address, are we in a communist state or a dictatorship? na by force? the whole thing stinks to me, sounds just like another half-thought-out Naij police proposition to me, yeah security, miscreats but methinks there're too many sides to this thing to just let ride into law like that |
may not mean much but ya gotta be careful though because it may be an indication that under the surface, you're a bit worried about your single status and that's not good, because it makes you vulnerable, ok?so, please ease off on that gas pedal now, will ya! |

there's this hot new tv musical on air n naija now, monster hitz, monster muziq or something like that with live music video mixes etc ? dunno what the catz tink they're playing at but an inside gist told me they're really planning big on linking naija acts in the diaspora with those here plus artiste management, talent development etc. guess that should be a boon for you singing types. but the question is have you seen Monster Muziq and what do you feel about it? |
hey, let's have a gist of what u're peddling, bro, then may be we could buy if ur package is good, no need to be all shady, what's tha package, provide a link or something, right? |
Chief Ayoappeal, I'm of the candid opinion that you should take the counsel offered you on the forum to do some work however little in getting your points across especially when using the English Language. As per this silliness about your intentionally sneaking those grammatical foibles into your post, aw man you're throwing, man, get a grip.Take tha ladies out, don't floss, try and be a real gee and rep for us dudes out there instead of taking your thesaurus with you on dates, i knew ur type in school back then, geeks, freaks and pimpleheads who couldn't get laid no matter they tried, so they duck under that being 'smarter-than-God' jibe, i wanna believe you're better than that, right, i think i know so, So please, run along now and be a good buy and LET ME HAVE SOME FRIGGIN' PEACE reading and digesting the intelligence in all the intelligently concocted flows these beautiful nairalanders usually make my day with, Peace! |
with ya, annamaria, plus 1. am not under pressure to start accounting to anybody about my life 2. not under pressure to buy anybody gifts etc 3. don't have to stick up with inconvenient conversations etc 4. free to make my decisions after careful consideration and to strike out with a sense of personal purpose based on haing defined myself 5. free to make friends and keep 'em at will without getting conscious of anybody feeling that am 'getting kinda close to who and who' and all that kinda crap y'know, jkpretty, the freedom, the freedom's the thing |
i wanted to say so much initially but i stopped on reading sabak's post, kudos to you bro for the mature and full-orbed viewpoint on the whole issue though i must still side with some of the ladies in the house, and good reason too, that quite a number of bank guys come across in very abrasive manners and i guess its got to do with their seeming to have a secure financial future in the midst of so much insecurity, squalor and money-worshipping. i guess these many people can't be wrong guys and guess what nobody's being beefing doctors, lawyers, teachers, oil sector guys, even politician (as sick and trying as some of those ones can be really!) so i guess you should do some cleaning up too! |
lemme bring a li'll diversion to the gist, how long do you think it'll take before we get to see a simple, even if its just a crackhead version, Sci-fi movie, ? I guess by the time all our grandson would have grown beards ![]() |
and i take an exception to that peaceful idyllic impression you wanna be giving us about oceanic bank cos atimes your banking halls are about as chaotic as oshodi market at high noon and your staffers act just about as smug as they come with all the satisfaction and self-content they can muster in those your funny navy blue outfits, forget this fargot naija banking service, most of y'all are just wannabes or should i say 'cowboy bankers' reminiscent of the sentiment of Segun Agbetuyi, (former chairman, omega bank), anyway, come to uk and learn a bit! |
diamond bank, is crappy, really crappy, and the way guys get muscled atimes, don't even begin to think about that |
there're too many arguements and vierwpoints to the thing but the basis of it all is greed. foolish pple trading wackiness shining like candles in the sun of time, they will all fade out like worn rags both the greedy girls and scallywag yahoozey boys, thieves and consorts of rogues, shameless poverty-mentality gold-diggers |
Edufresh, listen to mr. woods, eh? keep ur gab sealed, find a friend who's into something entirely different, or a trusted relative and let'em help you if need be to package ur ideas and articulate them not just verbally but in a well written form. go to ikeja computer village and a business plan development software and use the wizard, eh? or better still, research your ideas along similar lines and download the plans u see on them online, when u're thru with that stage, 1. find a lawyer friend etc and let him / her advise you on how to approach corporate bodies else they will just take ur file purportedly to "peruse-it-and-get-back-to-you" and next thing you know, you'll see it on TV with a thousand&One other embellishments and effizzis that will knock u to the ground 2. try and incorporate, even if its gonna be a simple business name, and offer your idea as a service, let's say in the realms of corporate adverts now and you have some original concepts, go and register "edufresh communications" or "edufresh infomedia" blah blah blah and develop a small portfolio around that, ehn? cos the stress this people will even give you will discourage you and come to think of it, who you be sef wey dem almighty celtel self go wan deal with you, an individual? they don't know u yet, they need to, / assist that process, package your PR. 3. Kiyosaki et al are now touted as being famous for saying the wisest pple of nowadays build networks, maybe you could try (that is, if your idea goes along that line) to organize a small neighborhood gang of youths, start a youth club, start-off your dream, get relevant to your society, get stuffs from indomie and go and give them to motherless kids, start a competition amongst secondary schools in your area etc, go seek out corpers and work your joint together with them as long as they will have a small part of it to present it as their CD project, they'll give it their best.(, I wrote and produced a theme song for the state i served in then with a friend), y'know, get creative, start something along the line of your idea, start now, start where you are! or cut all the crap, and hire me, i'll be your consultant projects developer, i can still help with anything I.C.T, Media Productions, Advertising, PR and Corporate Events Management ----just kidding --- hav a run at it man, its your cake!!! ![]() |
dont be so hard on the guy afterall its a free world; its his friend who's really an ass, abi now? he'd already established the gal as a callgirl and not even worth associating with, what's so hard about saying she was his girl except maybe he was trying to prevent something like this happening all along, bros, over to you!! |
feelings tha same here, can the shirts go for lower and where is your specific site address that one may come and see the apparels, thanks im on wahley4biz@yahoo.com |
what u do not realize is the fact that, as many of the ladies in the house have told you, is that it is the voice of your need and lonesomeness that we are hearing here right now: the need to be held, to be felt, the need to make a meaningful connection with a male companion regardless of whether its your husband or not, its not really a good position to be in at all and its rather sad. if you do go into a friendship with another man at this stage, it may develop into a fullblown affair and believe the more handsome, attentive, caring, smooth-talking the fella is, the more the tendency of your falling faster for him. We are not being harsh in advicing a more cautious line of action and neither are we insinuating anything or mentally bedding you down with anybody afterall i'm a guy to but what i believe most of the ladies are saying is that this is just a stage and you've really got a lotta vibe in your system and you need to get it out and being around another guy is not gonna be best way to go about it. Acknowledging your need is good and health but se you know its not everything we want that we ought to have many times if all is to go well with us, eh? and se u equally know that we tend to eat just anything when we get really hungry. Hunger borne out of emotional lack will make you just fall into adultery. Acknowledging your need is one thing, realizing that you can't just go around sating it in just anyway is another and yet another crucial part is rechanelling your excess energy, grief, loneliness, anger, bewilderment, pain etc. Don't leave it floating around just like that in your system, do something about it! Hear the ladies teetee2, almondjoy7 etc and get creative, get prayerful and get your home back from the edge of this pit that its tethering on already, the good Lord bless, aid and be with ya! |
yes, all the time though not deep kisses. what are kisses if not statements reaffirming endearment and fostering closeness between us folks? but the pple hear really get all awry about things in naija and i would wanna agree that u should watch ur environment especially folks staying up nawth 9ija |
could be dangerous and yet you may not be able to blame the guy on the long run, just open your eyes and hear all sides well be4 u take him up on his offer |
if ur suits are that good i wouldn't mind helping you pitch them on my side here, u can reach me on wahley4biz@yahoo.com |
get something like N1.75M ready as ur base budget, the amount will definitely increase as u move to larger metropolitan areas e.g. lagos instead of sagamu, y'know! stay away from systems with old boards, old hard-drives and low RAMs, even if u r buying Tox, insist on swapping for new hard drives and RAMs, stay away from anything less than PIII 800's; No gigapro or celeron boards go for Intel MMX. watch where u want to situate it well before u pay, some places cost more to redecorate and kit-out than others, go for a crowded area even if u have to pay more. take care of three main things first: 1. great solution, EQ and ISP e.g. C-BANd 128/256shared or 192Dedicated on iWAYAFrica or foreign ISP 2. Good power back-up solution e.g. 10kva generator on perkins etc or solid inverter set 3. Fast systems with good cafe timer that boyz won't just hack into for fun then you take care of the other things: , furnishings & fixtures, side attractions e.g. catering / snacks bar etc Ur good then! |
its real, only too real for you to be imagining it, ur best bet out is to pray before bedtime and make sure your bible is the last thing u read before u sleep, its a spiritual thing, a metaphysical manifestation of wicked entities just out to take advantage of your helpless and prone human spirit, pray and cover your urself with the blood of Jesus, me., i was raised an african boyz and have seen stuff you couldn't even imagine, you deny it? what about pple devoted to the cult of lilith and co. wise up man |
@ holyghost, i think your systems are very basic, very very basic infact and i think that, contrary to your impression, waffistyle will break even and even make profit because he will build a sure clientèle as he progresses especially after solving the power issue with the use of his inverter (which surprisingly i have had nobody speak of thus far, won't wanna imagine we're all that in love with PHCN) . pple are after speed in a conducive environment and some want their sense of vanities and exclusiveness to be pandered and catered to along with that, he has gone far enough to differentiate his clientele even in such a tightly segmented market plus he is based in Warri, haba? No try the guy o! @ WaffiStyle, well done my broda, keep up the Value Added Service, just don't forget to keep diversifying cos this cafe cafe talk of a thing may very well have not more than a 5 - 8 yr lifespan anymore, even in naija, so just keep ur eyez peeled brodaz and git that money! while it lasts!!! |
all well said but if i may add, Netcom is certainly not the best ISP in Nigeria as of now, i just don't believe that cos i operate in a network of 8 cafes spread over Lagos and Egba and their service delivery is not what it used to be, 1. downtimes are more now than before. in all fairness, those cafe outlets on KU-Band dishes are worst hit as simple things like rainfall even affect them. 2. Customer service too is not too good, response time too slow especially for outside lagos locations. you call that their number and you get routed on to some autoresponder like that and u end up wasting up to 8 minutes atimes before someone eventually gets to you. 3. the price's competitive though its not the fairest too 4. most times, prior notifications are not issued to subscribers on possibility of the service being truncated or interrupted, you just find yourself down and customers do really get shitty at times like that. one of my supervisors was still reporting nearly being docked by a so-called well connected client yesterday who felt cheated of his money when the service started failing, anyone on netcom in abeokuta, you could confirm that,, though i still want to reiterate that cafes on Ku-band and the old hns7000 modem may hardest hit. while i'm not trying to knock them, i'd just wanted to say being with netcom's not a bed of roses and in case you plan to be bedfellows with them, its better you take the rose tinted glasses off and get a clear view of the pros and cons of that partnership now. so, i still wanna pose that question here, who do you think based on an objective appraisal of their performance on all the indices that count in this sector, is the best or at least good isp to roll with. |
simple, u get back to your broker with your proof of purchase, in case, u've lost that too, you mandate them to go the Registrars to look for your duplicates etc cheers |
@adewaleafolabi, hey, what's the url, cos i've got to do it for my niece and i can't seem to get the friggin' site up, the url that was texted to me's quite off da mark, thanks |
I can't help but say I'm really tired of the ISP's I've been coming across in Nigeria but am willing to get a change of opinion. i wouldn't know if you've come across any really good ISP in Nigeria. I wouldn't mind page-links, price quotes for Equipment and bandwidth subscription. Thanks. |
may not mean much but ya gotta be careful though because it may be an indication that under the surface, you're a bit worried about your single status and that's not good, because it makes you vulnerable, ok?
