just use NOC 1111, and put the present job in personal history
Great, thanks!

Just use the job with four years experience for work experience. Place the part time work in personal experience. You've passed the 3 years max experience needed
Thanks

Hi Guys, please I need some advice on best approach. I have 4 years’ experience under NOC 1111. However, I currently work part time (less than 1 year) under a different NOC. While applying for my ITA I included both jobs. Now post-ITA I am thinking of taking out the other NOC (and just include it in my personal history) as it does not really affect my score, then just stick to 1111. Will this be a problem? Note, I don’t have a problem in getting reference letters from both jobs!

Are you serious? When did they put this up on their website? I have been waiting for 16weeks now, no evaluation report and they want to increase the time. This is so unfair.
The update has been there since late June I think. Just chill a little you should get it soon. Rather you can send them a mail to find out the status of yours especially if you know the exact date they received all your documents.

Thanks so much. We got PNP paper route, so we have to submit PCC first. Medicals will be on demand later on in the process. Will give a call to him. Thanks so much. Please anyone who has taken passports in Uyo,please share the name of the studio. Thanks again.
If you know someone based in Lagos, fill the police report fingerprint card from gateway, send the scanned copy, your passport and passport photo to your contact in Lagos. He/she should take it to Alagbon, you will get it within 1 hour

Pls, was your school made to do verification for you?
Mine is almost 15weeks now and still no information from them. Kind of confused..
Send them a mail, they'll inform you of the status. Now it's 20 weeks. Mine took about 17 weeks.

Please how much were you charged for both OND and HND by ICES?.
Thank you.
It is CAD200 per credential. That sums to CAD400 in total.

I can confirm that ICES evaluates OND as Two-year diploma and HND as Four-year Advanced diploma. Just received mine, but its a whole LONG wait, approximately 19 weeks after all documents were received by ICES. Although the evaluation was completed in 17 weeks; it took two weeks to get to me.

Sent through hellofax on two occasions, I got the fax successfully sent message on both occasions.
I don't think the problem is the medium or if you sent to the wrong address. The fact WES received and confirmed and later said they are yet to receive it shows that you have quoted your ref number and faxed to WES Canada. The issue should be the document itself. As I previously suggested, fax black/white copy if you haven't done so before.

So, WES decided to burst my bubble and fall my hand, faxing my ND and HND Statement of Result to WES was the first thing I did after payment. My status was updated 'we received your documents bla bla bla', numerous emails and two months of inactivity later, I got an update that WES has ACCEPTED my documents save for my statement of Result which has not been RECEIVED. so status was put on hold oh.

Okay, no problem, sent another fax immediately and after about 24hours, my timeline was updated as 'we received your documents bla bla bla' again. Fast forward to 35 days of back and forth emails I got another update that all documents has been accepted except my ND and HND Statement of Result which has not been received.
I don't understand again ohh, please someone should help me out.
I personally faxed Hubby's certificate to WES myself and we are waiting for verification from his school, I don't understand what is going wrong. This matter Don tire me ohh.
I am just thinking, did you fax black/white or colored? I "think" they want a photocopy, and it should look black/white. I had this experience when I evaluated with WES USA for my master's. I told my friend in US to print the scanned copy and send to them. He printed colored and after few days of receiving the document, I was told they are yet to receive it. Just like in you case. Later my friend printed out black/white and send to them. This was accepted without additional request.

If you faxed colored, then try black/white, otherwise, maybe it is some other issue.

I really don't know if ICES also evaluates OND and HND as two or more certificates but I know there is an evaluating body here that does it.

Seniors please assist with the body tha evaluates HND & OND as two or more certs.

Thanks
I had earlier asked from people who did this and they confirmed ICES also evaluates OND and HND as 2 or more. OND is 2yr diploma
HND as 4 years advanced diploma.

Personally in the process and by first week on July I should be able to give a personal confirmation.

Use regular mail. You're in the US so it's going to be efficiently delivered to you. And in a very short time too
Thanks, I appreciate!

What do mean by ICES courier? Well, it is better to use courier to send ur credentials, because it gives the opportunity to track it's movement, especially given the inefficiency of Nigerian institutions. Courier service is also faster than regular mail
Thanks for the response. While filling the ICES online form it requires to choose a delivery method: Regular Mail (No fee) or Courier
($26 within Canada, $75 outside Canada). Please note I am currently in the US (and for the rest of the process)

Please guys, I need answers to these questions:

Does ICES evaluate ND and HND as 2 or more certificates or just 4 years advanced diploma
Does ICES send evaluation report directly to IRCC or how does this work?
What s the difference between ICES courier or regular mail option?

Thanks

I am honestly surprised. I have done my research you know.

But wait a second ,you mean these schools admitted you into an academic masters degree program?? Did you pay separately for the evaluation? Is your program a n Engineering program??
Yeah, I grab, a times even when you send a message to the schools asking them if they accept such, they won't give you a concrete response for reasons best known to them. I am enrolled for an MBA program (I also applied for MS programs and got admitted to one) and no separate fee for evaluation. I wasn't admitted into all but I was interviewed. I got admission from 3 of them.

Generally I'd advice anyone with HND to have the WES evaluation even though I did not use mine, I know I have it just incase....

We learn everyday. Kindly give me a name of any US school that admits HND holders into an academic Masters program.

Mind you, don't advice anyone to use those in-house evalutors in America schools. They would NEVER evaluate an HND as the US bachelor's degree equivalent.
@abimbolar @MyAmericandream

I know of Ohio State University, University of Delaware, University of Rochester, Southern Methodist University and Clark University as examples. I got HND and currently having my masters in US. I have the WES evaluation but none of these schools requested for it, even when I told them I got it, they said they don't need it. They are research level institutions that have dedicated staff for these evaluation.

I don't understand what you meant by the bolded part.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by thirdpage: 10:48pm On Oct 18, 2018
BarristerAlarig:
No school in the US will admit you into an M.sc with an HND except you evaluate your transcript with WES. If you evaluate your transcript, it will be evaluated as the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree. You can then apply for M.sc admission.
Why sounding so sure about this? Do you know all the schools in US? Anyway, there are schools that evaluates transcripts in-house and yes they give admissions to HND into their masters program without WES. However its advisable to always have the WES evaluation.

Since you will be living in U.S for a long time I will suggest you have enough in cash (more than $1500) and put the rest in your card.
About your friend, you should know how he got into U.S (hope he's not living in U.S illegally) and hope you've secured your accommodation?
Thanks Seye. I am yet to secure accommodation but in the process (hopefully before I get in). My friend is a PR and works for a government security agency. So i guess I should be fine right?

I’m a silent reader but an avid reader, I owe everyone who took out time to post their transcript on this platform. It is only wise and prudent of me to return the favor.
Here’s a few tip from me to every prospective visa seeking student.
1. Put God First.
2. Pray without ceasing at least for the last 7days before the interview.
3. Fast if you can. I did that 3 day to my interview.
4. Leave your battle to God to fight.
5. Dress according to what you depict. The way you dress is the way you’ll be addressed.
6. Forget the respect. Majority of the VO’s and workers at the embassy are not older than you. I didn’t greet anyone. Not even the white guy who registered my fingers. He was forced to greet me. Actually I was waiting for him to greet me first. He’s in my country for Gods sake. He should respect me. Not the other way round.
7. Finally, forget the MA or SIR you use for the VO except in exceptional circumstance when you know he/she is way older than you. The VO greeeted me first. I didn’t and it was deliberate. We are all playing mind games.

God bless everyone and to those who are waiting for their date/hour, those that have applied and have been denied, don’t loose hope. Keep trying, God will put a smile on y’all face soon.
Thank you.
Congrats and thanks for sharing.

However, got concerns around some of your comments.

2&3: As much as I believe God has a place in everything I do, I've seen people who are pagans/atheist getting visas. You sounded like a prophet here telling people how and when to pray towards interviews. No one can deceive God! People should do whatever they believe in.

6: Are you saying if someone is younger than you, you shouldn't respect the person? And because you are in Nigeria every foreigner {even those under a consulate} must respect you first before you reciprocate. This is a wrong mindset. Respect is not functioned on location, age or skin colour.

7: Americans generally don't like the sir or ma thing. Irrespective of age. At least I've seen that based on the numbers I've worked with. A VO greeting you first and you not doing that, is not mind game, courtesy demands that you greet when you get to a place or respond to the greetings!

Bottom line NL guys... Do whatever works best for you. That someone else did not greet the VO doesn't mean you shouldn't. Some VOs may get a wrong first impression of you when you don't respond to their greeting.

Cheers!

Guys please assist:

As a student on F1 visa, what's the minimum cash to hold and feel safe such that CBP won't raise eye.

Also my destination is Delaware but I'll be entering via Washington Dulles {2 hours drive from the school}.

My friend who stays in Maryland {1 hour+ from Dulles and 1 hour from my school in delaware} will pick me up at the airport. Is it safe to tell CBP this?

I need your advice, thanks!

I was interviewed in Abuja on 23rd of July. I was placed on AP and my visa was issued yesterday. My interview was very different even after I was well prepared and even took GRE and TOEFL, did consultation at EducationUSA and came on Nairaland for assistance. I have been denied USA B1/B2 visa twice in 2016. Here is my transcript

ME: My brother, he is a student.
VO: Okay, how will your daddy cope since he’s still a student and this balance can only take care of like your first year in Uni?
ME: No, that’s not a problem at all; once my dad and mum get back everything will be sorted.
VO: Okay, where’s your old passport and I can see you went to Dubai last year.
ME: I didn’t come with it, yes I did.
VO: Okay, I will be approving your visa (gives me the white paper and a small slip)...

I honestly think it was God that did it. All the questions I had in mind that he will ask, he didn’t. I wish everyone aspiring to go to the USA all the best.
When Mercy speaks! Congratulations...

Good. Send an email to the school tomorrow and ask if a soft copy of ur I-20 could be sent to you, for you to be able to pay SEVIS fee and visa fee.
@Jpoppins generally, the OISS of schools are not legally able to scan your I-20 to you through email. Once you receive notification that your I-20 has been shipped to you, you can send a mail to the school OISS asking for your SEVIS number and SEVIS school code. With these you can proceed to make your SEVIS payment and even book your visa appointment.
