Kingray10:You know sometimes the painful part of it may not really be the physical phone itself, but the sensitive/confidential information in the phone. Imagine the student getting access to the sensitive school information and others, which they are not supposed to access...not just the personal/protected information of the VC, the head of the school - That's the main problem. So much wahala in Naija |
LoveLeadsLand:The Instagram video is on that link. Y'all can post it here if it can be posted. |
Naughty students. Lol, not funny |

Nearly 40 years later, a Federal High Court in Abuja, on Friday, ordered the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice to re-open investigation and prosecution of the murder of a renowned journalist, Dele Giwa. The order is coming after years of efforts by eminent Nigerians including the late Gani, Fawehinmi, SAN, who had sought the fiat of the Attorney General of Lagos State to prosecute the case. Besides, the court also ordered for the investigations of other journalists killed in the discharge of their lawful duties, with the aim of ensuring perpetrators are punished in line with the provisions of the laws. The order was made by Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court in Abuja, on Friday, while delivering judgement in a suit filed by the Incorporated Trustees of Media Rights Agenda. Born in 1947, Dele Giwa was killed on Sunday, October 19, 1986, via a lethal mail delivered to him at his residence in Adeniyi Jones Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos State. Two policies alien to Nigeria’s situation scattered everything - The removal of the fuel subsidy at the wrong time without plan AND the floating of the Naira in a Nation that currently depends largely on importation than exportation. |
Acme45:Lagos of two decades ago ‘built’ no be Nigeria of today |
They can also offer a solution to the President and push for its implementation |
Governors elected on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have advised President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to resign over the state of the nation if they cannot provide sustainable solutions. The opposition governors said the buck ultimately stops at Tinubu’s table as the ‘chief executive officer’ of Nigeria, the President and commander in chief of the Armed Forces of the Federation, the chief salesman and leader of Nigeria. The governors, under the aegis of the PDP Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF), said the hardship and suffering being experienced by Nigerians have no tribal, religious or party colouration, adding that APC sought power to solve Nigeria’s problems not to compound them or shift blame, or grandstand or use propaganda to confuse the issues. The PDP-GF made the fresh call in a statement signed by its director-general, Hon. CID Maduabum, on Saturday as a response to the minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, who lampooned the PDP governors for earlier comparing Nigeria to Venezuela over the state of the country. writeprof:Nigeria's economic problem is like a leaking roof at multiple spots in the building. You can't 'patch' one spot and go to bed believing you've tackled the problem. There should be a holistic approach to solving the problem. |
obesse:Don't mind them. Who get time for a ping-pong game when the house is on fire. |
Thabothabo101:What use would a manifesto be if can’t get to the right hands, be discussed, and implemented? Nigeria's economic situation is now beyond theories. No more time for playing a ping-pong game. It is no more time for simply passing the ball, blaming one another or series of past administrations. We need to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Not writing long epistles, not making ‘audio’ political speeches/promises, praying & fasting. This is time for the actual work. An emergency economic team needs to be quickly formed to render a selfless service, not tied to any monetary gains. There should be a careful selection of each member of the team. |
A complete breakdown of system. Total collapse May God help us |
The family of a 60-year-old man who was kidnapped on February 1, has claimed that the police demanded a bribe of N50,000 to assist in tracing the victim. Ahọn, a retired civil servant, was abducted in the Mpape district while on his way from Abuja to Lagos. His family reported the kidnapping to the Mpape police division, where they alleged that the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) requested a deposit of N50,000. “We went to the police in Mpape division so they can help track the number but as usual they are asking for money. The DCO is asking for N50,000 deposit to track,” his wife, Mrs Senami Ahon told Premium Times. She added: “He is just a common public servant who has retired but had to go back as contract staff so he could fend for his family. “He wanted to give his children some money and be with them but unfortunately, he couldn’t get to his children and he couldn’t get back home,” his 48-year-old wife said. This is purely a leadership issue as far as am concerned. Put the right people in place and the right policies…..and then boom!! The economy will pick up. We don’t need to fold our hands fasting and praying, or go about looking for a magician to do tumbo tumbo for us. I am available to volunteer as a team member to fix that economy in just a very short period of time so people can breathe a sigh of relief. BTW, I am talking about the National level. The Nigerian economy. Nigeria's economic problem is like a leaking roof at multiple spots in the building. You can't 'patch' one spot and go to bed believing you've tackled the problem. There should be a holistic approach to solving the problem. The right team needs to be assembled to fix it, else we are going nowhere.

Nigeria my country!! We really need to do the right things to fix the Nigerian economy. Come up with the right policies, it’s as simple as that…in addition to prayer. We don’t fold our hands and just be praying. Even the Bible says that Faith without work is dead! If any new policies are not working, then revert them to the old manageable policy that’s not as bad as the new policy until a better policy is figured out. It is not a ‘defeat’ to reverse a non-working new policy to the old one. Subsidy was removed without a plan to cushion the effect on the poor masses. Naira was allowed to float without thinking about and working on the factors that can ensure its success. How can the economy work without the right policies in place and implementation of those policies?? Nigeria's economic situation is now beyond theories. No right-thinking person will be playing a ping-pong game when his house is on fire. This is no more time for simply passing the ball, blaming one another or series of past administrations. |
