Literature10 Classic Children Novels We Loved Back Then by ThisTrend(op): 4:47pm On May 27, 2017
Literature class was one of our favorites
back then in primary school,
It wasn’t like the complex literature we
started in secondary school where you
had to discuss themes from a dialogue or
write lengthy notes based on a
conversation or a story. It was basic and
we loved it. While the list of literature
books varied from schools to schools,
there were some that kept making
appearances,
Maybe because they were so good and all!
Here is a list of the top ten favorites..

1. Sugar Girl by Kola Onadipe
Sugar Girl was the story of Ralia and her
adventures when she went missing.

2. Chike and The River by Chinua Achebe
Chinua Achebe wrote about the boy who
wanted to cross the River Niger. I
remember Samuel Maduka Obi (S.M.O) and
his S.M.O.G name which meant “Save Me
Oh God”

3. Without A Silver Spoon by Eddie Iroh
Without A Silver Spoon is the story of Ure
Chokwe who comes from a poor family
and the challenges he had to go through.

4. Eze Goes to School by Onuora Nzekwu
and Michael Crowder
Eze is determined to go to school but he
has to deal with the problems he has.

5. Koku Baboni by Kola Onadipe
Koku Baboni calls into question a village’s
practice of leaving one of a set of twins to
die. It introduces young readers to
complex questions about human rights.

6. The Drummer Boy by Cyprian Ekwensi
The story of Akin, a blind drummer who
inspires everyone with his talents,
celebrates the uniqueness of the
individual and how self-fulfillment can
help us touch the lives of others.

7. Bottled Leopard by Chukwuemeka Ike
The book tells of Amobi, a first-year
secondary school student, who is troubled
by dreams of a leopard.

8. Tales Out of School by Nkem Nwankwo
Another great story about a young
person’s first year at secondary school.
The protagonist Bayo experiences a class
rebellion and a challenge to the school
football team during his first term at
school.

9. The Village School by Anezi Okoro
Anezi Okoro is a children’s stories expert
with a long resume; this classic tale of a
village school in southeastern Nigeria –
first published in 1966 – has stood the
test of time.

10. The First Corn by Mabel Segun
Mabel Segun is one of Nigeria’s best-loved
children’s novelists. This story of how a
man first discovered corn fully engages
younger readers.

EducationJamb Cut Off Mark For Top Federal Universities In Nigeria by ThisTrend(op): 2:05pm On May 22, 2017
We present to you; the Top Federal Universities in Nigeria and their 2017 Jamb Cut Off Marks. The featured Schools are UI, OAU, ABU, FUTO, UNIBEN, UNILORIN & UNIPORT. However, the Insight I will give here would apply to any high rated and competitive University In Nigeria.

Have you ever wondered the Jamb 2017 performance and how the general cut off marks would look like? As usual, Jamb will assigned random cut off marks between the score range of 150 to 180 for various institutions. These institutions include private, state and Federal Universities and Polytechnics.

The above statement is true. However, there are schools that are too big to accept that.

Over the years, they have proven that no student who score anything below 200 will be admitted. These are the top Federal Institutions of Study. And like I stated earlier, they are UI, OAU, ABU, UNIBEN, UNILORIN & UNIPORT.

The Jamb 2017 cut off mark for UI, OAU, ABU, UNIBEN, UNILORIN & UNIPORT is 200 and nothing less. Now, a question comes to mind, since these schools cut at 200, does it mean that those with Jamb score of 200 will automatically gain admission to study there? NO. There are other factors they consider. These factors are:

*. The number of candidates that applied to study there.

*. The score of students aspiring for various departments.

*. Grade in WAEC and Neco Results.

*. Performance in physical clearance.

*. Preference to Merit, Catchment and Educational less developed states.

FACT: The higher the number of candidates that apply to any Department in a University, the higher their Jamb cut off mark. For example, more candidates usually apply for Medicine, Law, Accounting and Engineering, this makes the cut of marks for these Faculties shift away from the general cut off of 200.

As a medicine aspirant in any of the schools above, the least Jamb 2017 score you should have to gain admission on merit is 260.

CareerFRSC Salary Structure: Salary Of Federal Road Safety Corps by ThisTrend(op): 8:07am On May 22, 2017
FRSC stands for Federal Road Safety Corp and one of their function is regulating the highway for motorists and other road users to avoid accidents. Most people who want to build a career in the FRSC would want to know whether the FRSC pay well or how the FRSC salary scheme is.

Before I delve into the salary structure of the Federal Road Safety Corp that I found out, note that Officers in the FRSC are paid according to their ranks and levels just as it is applicable in the Nigerian Navy, Army, Airforce and Police. What a level six FRSC officer earns would be different from what a level 8 officer would earn.

The FRSC ranking system is divided into two namely: Commissioned and Non Commissioned Officers.

What we Found out About the FRSC Salary Structure

In a report dated 2007, it was said that the staff salary of the Federal Road Safety Officers was increased. The new salary structure known as Consolidated Paramilitary Salary Structure, a development that has pushed the monthly take home pay of the least staff by about N5,000.00 and the top echelon by over N15,000.00.

We gathered that for those who joined the Federal Road Safety Corp with secondary certificate, starting salary is N40,000. Graduates in FRSC are paid from N100,000 and above while for high ranking officers, salary is from N250,000 and above.

Help Make This Page Better
Although we tried to get more information from the FRSC officers we met, they refused to respond but gave the above figures. If you have an idea on the FRSC salary scale or feel that any of the figures written is not correct, please help by informing us using the comment section below with proof and we would add it to this page. Thanks!

Christianity EtcIs Jesus Christ God? 50 Biblical Proof That He Is by ThisTrend(op): 1:34pm On May 21, 2017
.

Is Jesus Christ Truly God? How can you say that Jesus, a man who reigned on earth is God? What Proof is there that Jesus Christ is God? If Jesus is really God why do the Muslims say He is not?

The above questions are the common queries you will find on Google when you are looking for answers to Jesus Christ claim of being equal to God the Father. While there are many facts that support the argument that He is truly God, many other articles also say that he isn’t God.

More so, is the issue of the Trinity. Most Christians do not believe in the Trinity. They believe that God is one (which is true) and has no other with him such as God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible in itself debunks such claim as the persons of the Trinity is real in itself. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three persons in one God.

When you study the scriptures from Genesis, you will see when God said “Let us create man in our image and after our likeness”. This statement shows us that it was the Trinity in unity that created man. Man himself is a tripartite being made up of body, soul and spirit.

Also, the old testament shows us more of the Almighty Father at work, while using through the prophets to announce the coming of his Christ which of course we see in the new testament and Jesus in turn telling his disciples of the coming of the Holy Spirit which we see in the Acts of the apostles. Also remember the great commission when Jesus Christ himself told his followers to make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

50 Biblical Facts To Prove That Jesus Christ is God

Below are 50 Biblical Proofs
That Jesus is God, Jesus is God the Son. He is the eternal, all-powerful, all-loving, self-existent Creator God.

We apologists hear every fable, myth, and tall tale regarding theology that anyone could ever imagine. I’ve heard for over thirty years that “the Bible never says that Jesus is God.” In fact, one of my first research projects in the early 80s, after I started taking up apologetics (back in my evangelical days), was to collect biblical passages that provide evidence for the Holy Trinity and deity, or divinity of Jesus Christ.

I’ve compiled this information in one of my books, called Theology of God (if anyone is looking for a handy guide on the issue). Presently, I’d like to highlight a few of the more obvious, undeniable, plain passages, in order to counter those who make such negative claims.

John 1:1, 14 (RSV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . [14] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.

This is one of the most well-known “proof texts”. Jesus is eternal (here, “beginning” means “eternity past”). He was with God the Father, and is God the Son. To make sure that the reader has no misunderstanding, John (v. 14) reiterates that the “Word” referred to is the Son, and notes that He “became flesh” (the incarnation). Only the Son has a body. The Word = Jesus = God.

John 10:30 I and the Father are one. Jesus’ hearers, unbelieving Jews, certainly understood His intent in saying this, because they tried to stone Him, as the next verse informs us, since they didn’t believe His claim, which, if indeed untrue, would be intolerable blasphemy. 10:33 informs us that they tried to stone Him because (in their words) “you, being a man, make yourself God.”

John 20:28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” This had to do with the famous “Doubting Thomas” incident. Thomas didn’t believe Jesus had risen, so Jesus appeared for His sake and told him to touch the wound in His side. Then Thomas believed and said this. If it were untrue, Jesus would have corrected him, but He didn’t; He commended Thomas because he “believed.”

Colossians 1:19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,In context, it is the Son Who is being described (1:13); He is eternal (1:15, 17-18), the Creator (1:16), and the unifying principle of the universe (1:17; cf. Heb 1:3): all attributes true only of God. Paul makes the notion even more explicit in the next chapter:

Colossians 2:9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily

2 Peter 1:1. . . our God and Savior Jesus Christ: St. Paul uses the same phrase in Titus 2:13 as well.

Hebrews 1:8 But of the Son he says, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy kingdom.”

This is a remarkable passage, in which God the Father calls His Son “God.” It is a reference to the Old Testament passage, Psalms 45:6-7.

In Hebrews 1:6, God the Father also says that all the angels should worship God theSon. Worship can only be rightly applied to God, as we know from Exodus 34:14 and Deuteronomy 8:19. Yet Jesus accepted worship of Himself on many occasions (e.g., Mt 14:33; 28:9) and stated that He should be honored equally with the Father (Jn 5:23). In Revelation 5:8, 12-13 and Colossians 2:6-7, we find that Jesus is worshiped in every way that the Bible specifically describes worship of God the Father, with all the same words used (see: Rev 4:9-11, 5:13; 7:11-12, and Rom 11:33).

Jesus is omnipotent (possesses all power):
Philippians 3:20-21. . . the Lord Jesus Christ, [21] who will change our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself.

He’s omniscient (all-knowing): Colossians 2:2-3. . . Christ, [3] in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

He’s omnipresent (present everywhere):
Ephesians 1:22-23 The church, [23] which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. (cf. Col 3:11)

Another astonishing passage along these lines is one where Jesus speaks about historical events described as being done by God the Father in the Old Testament. He casually applies them to Himself (what might be called “the Divine ‘I’”):

Matthew 23: 34, 37 Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town, . . . [37] O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!

Many attributes that are said to belong only to “God” are applied to Jesus in Scripture. God the Father said, “besides me there is no savior” (Is 43:11; cf. 1 Tim 4:10). Yet Jesus is called the “savior” of mankind in passages like Luke 2:11 and many others.

God the Father stated, “To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear” (Is 45:23). The same exact description is also applied to Jesus (Phil 2:10-11).

The Bible teaches that “God” is judge (1 Sam 2:10; Ps 50:6; Ecc 12:14; many others). But so is Jesus (Jn 5:22, 27; 9:39; Acts 10:42; 2 Tim 4:1). Therefore He is God.

God the Father sits on His throne in heaven (1 Ki 22:19; Ps 11:4; 47:cool. Jesus is on the same throne, too (Rev 7:17; 22:1, 3).

At every turn in the Bible, only one conclusion is possible, to make sense of all these statements, taken together as a whole: Jesus is God the Son. He is the eternal, all-powerful, all-loving, self-existent Creator God

Glass Age is approaching quickly. Transparent car in Germany has already proved it. World automotive industry cannot stop surprising us. Continue reading the article to know particular information about the car made of durable glass.

If you have ever dreamt of the transparent car, Germany is the right place for this invention.

All You Need To Know about the German Transparent Car
The world has been developing very fast to catch up with the cars of future. In October 2015, during the Frankfurt Auto Show IAA Frankfurt, ZF Friedrichshafen AG presented a transparent car. All present people were shocked and amazed by its beauty and originality.

The body of the transparent car is made of heavy-duty organic glass. Please note that transparent cars use no paint.

You can see how the car is designed from the inside in details through the transparent body of this sedan. You can also see how security technology works, which is usually hidden under the car body. Moreover, you can clearly see airbags, various sensors, and braking and control systems. This equipment provides safe driving. It is also possible to look at the design of seat belts.

Perhaps the only security element that developers of the transparent car did not take into account is glaring. However, this oversight can be forgiven, since the car is not designed for mass production.

Transparent Car Seat Covers
Transparent car seat covers are made of the special soft organic material that is very pleasant to the touch. The car seat itself is also made of durable natural glass.

Transparent Car Floor Mats
Transparent car floor mats have the unique design and special rubberized backing system. Each car is equipped with 4 floor mats. They are intended to keep the transparent car interior safe from dirt, damaging dust, and all troubled the car usually faces from everyday use. The backing of transparent car floor mats is made from special vinyl, which prevents shifting and sliding.

Transparent Car Roof
The transparent car roof is made of durable organic glass. This material can withstand heavy loads. At the same time, the original glass is very light, so the car seems to slip along the highway.

This transparent car roof has passed eight tests on durability.

Transparent Car Price
Presently, the exact transparent car price is unknown. However, in 2016, it was announced that the price range of the transparent car would be from 80 to 90 thousand dollars. Since the car is not designed for mass production, its price might be changed accordingly.

The transparent car made in Germany is a real masterpiece of the world automotive industry. Many people wish to have such a vehicle. Nigeria needs new and high technologies.
