Google, in collaboration with Kaduna State Government, Kaduna ICT HUB and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), on Monday conducted a one-day training for 5, 000 unemployed youths in the state on digital marketing.

Google Lead Trainer, Mr Luke Ini-Ima told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna that the training was part of the state government’s youth empowerment programmes.

Ini-Ima explained that the training was specifically designed to make the beneficiaries social media managers, strategies and brand ambassadors for the 2.3 million Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in the country.

According to him, only 7 per cent of the 2.3 million SMEs in the country advertise their products online.

“This training will, therefore, bridge this gap and would enable the unemployed youths tap from the huge opportunities in the ICT sector.“

On successful completion of the training, the beneficiaries are expected to create online platforms for the remaining 93 per cent of SMEs in the country.

“We will teach them all they need to know about online affiliate marketing and how to make cool money online,’’ Ini-Ima said.

He said that the training is being conducted in five centres: namely A. B. U Hotel Hall Congo, Zaria; Umar Musa Yar’adua Hall Kaduna; Ahmadu Bello Stadium Gymnasium Hall Kaduna; St. John’s College Kachia and New Choice Hall Kafanchan.

The SDGs Director in the state, Mr Nuhu Moses, told NAN that the beneficiaries were between the ages of 18 to 35.

Moses said that the effort was part of SDGs youth empowerment goals through skills development for employment creation.

He commended the state government for keying into the SDGs to fight unemployment in the state.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr Bitrus Bala, commended the state government and its partners for the efforts, saying the acquired skills would enable them fight poverty by being financially independent. (NAN)

Coconut fufu can be made with desiccated coconut (Chaff left after the coconut oil has been extracted) For this fufu, I made it with the coconut chaff and added a little guinea corn flour; a little garri too or any starch to help the fufu bind together. The aim is to consume more roughage (fibre) with little or no carbohydrates so I used 1 cup coconut chaf with just half a cup of flour and the fufu is so filling as I could only eat half of that quantity and I was full, had to keep the other half in the freezer to microwave when I need it.

After cooking coconut rice, making coconut oil or getting out coconut milk, the bulk chaff shouldn't be disposed as it can be useful in so many ways like I just made fufu with mine. It can also be sprinkled in your coconut rice, baked as coconut cake, fried with egg added for coconut pancake or sugar added and made into coconut candy.

I just made my coconut oil and will post later.

COCONUT FUFU PROCEDURE:
After extracting the coconut milk, the chaff is sun dried and used for many things like I said earlier, here they are used for making fufu.

First, I added the half cup guinea corn flout to water (watery) and placed on the cooker, it boils for about 3 to 4 minutes and while stirring I begin to gradually sprinkle in the coconut flour. I do this until the desired thickness is achieved.

Note: Too much coconut flour can make the fufu not bind very well. I like to sprinkle in a pinch of salt here. My coconut fufu is ready. Serve with any soup of choice. I served this with low cost afang soup.

INGREDIENTS FOR THIS COCONUT FLOUR FUFU:
*. 1 cup dried desiccated coconut
*. 1/2 cup flour (guinea corn in this case. You can make with a little of any edible starch to help bind the coconut chaff.
*. Water
*. Salt (Optional. I like the taste of this fufu with a pinch of salt)

Blended coconuts are sieved, the milk extracted from the chaff with the help of a cheese cloth, you can sieve with the cloth used in making pap (akamu). The last picture here shows the coconut milk in a different bowl from the chaff. Then, the chaff goes for drying in the sun or oven. I dried these in the sun.

Making the coconut fufu: The dried chaff is added to a little starch and made into fufu. Here I used half a cup of guinea corn flour to a cup of dry desiccated coconuts to make my fufu as shown.

Making the coconut fufu. I sprinkled a little salt though, that's how I like my fufu sometimes.

This is the coconut oil I made from the extracted milk before using the chaff for my fibre-filled fufu.

Premium Times reports that 50-year-old Edwin who is also a bureau de change operator was arrested beside Airport Hotel, Ikeja, alongside another member three days after stealing $500 from $5,000 bills presented to them by one Adebayo Lookman for conversion into naira.

Thistrend gathered that Lookman assisted his mother in the exchange of $5,000 to naira by driving to Airport Hotel where he met Mr. Edwin. Edwin had promised to change the money for him at the rate of N387 to a dollar.

He thereafter invited another member of his gang, Daniel Ebhohimen, who together while confirming the dollars removed $500 before handing over $4500 back to unsuspecting Lookman in his car.

According to Mr. Lookman: “They were mid-way into the counting when another member of the gang distracted me from the driver side of my car. Thereafter, they handed back the money to me that it was complete and we headed to one of the banks
."

We entered the bank. All along they prevented me from counting the money.

At the bank, they told me the rate they gave me was no longer possible and that they were backing out, but I offered for a renegotiation.

"I told them to excuse me and I went into the gent to confirm the money. I counted it and $500 was missing. Before I could come out they had run away. The door attendant told me he saw them rushing out of the bank. I went to where I met them but I couldn’t see them. It was the third day that I saw Edwin and I invited the police.”

Edwin acknowledged the crime, adding that he was given N10,000 from the deal. He thereafter assured the police that his gang was ready for amicable settlement by paying back the missing $500. The two suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigations.

The general superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has urged Nigerians to be prayerful and patience because there is “light at the end of the tunnel.”

The revered man of God further urged Christians to pray for the peace, stability and development of the country.

Speaking on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the end of a three-day national Easter retreat at the Deeper Life Conference Centre, Km 42, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, in Ibafo, Ogun state, Kumuyi called on Nigerians to show more love to one another and live in peace irrespective of religious, tribal and political differences.

In his message titled: ‘Conquering with the Crucified King’, Kumuyi said:

“We should live in peace with one another; if there is no peace, there is not much we can achieve as a nation.

“Every section of the society should embrace peace so that the nation can move forward; and with our faith in the Lord, things will turn around and change for the better.”

He also advised people not to commit suic*de saying that was not the way out of the present economic hardship the country is currently facing.

“We should not give up, we should not lose hope. People who are taking their lives don’t need to do that because there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.“

When someone had taken his or her life before the light breaks, how would he or she enjoy what the Lord is going to do for the nation?

“I want to encourage everyone to have hope in the Lord because things are going to turn around positively,” he said while assuring Christians and Nigerians at large that the present economic recession and security challenges facing the country would soon come to an end.

Nigerians will never forget April 14, 2014, a day when no fewer than 276 school girls were kidnapped from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno state by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

Their abduction sparked global outrage and people around the world including celebrities started the #Bringbackourgirls campaign.

Friday, April 14, marks the three years anniversary of their abduction.

For two years, the federal government kept making moves to find the girls and reunite them with their families but it all proved futile.

In May, 2016, there was breakthrough with the discovery of one of the girls who was found with a baby. Subsequently, two other girls were found and in October,21 of the girls were released in a deal brokered by Switzerland and the International Red Cross. In November, another girl named Maryam Ali Maiyanga was found.

Three years down the line, roughly 197 of the girls are yet to be found, so we bring to you facts about the Chibok school girls and Boko Haram.

1. The Boko Haram insurgents who have been waging war against Nigeria to carve out an Islamic state struck in the middle of the night, kidnapping the girls from their boarding school. As many as 50 girls escaped almost immediately in 2014.

2. The government under the command of former president Goodluck Jonathan did not take action immediately and suffered heavy backlash for handling the situation poorly. There was so much reaction on social media and the #bringbackourgirls began to trend. the global campaign was even backed by former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.

3. In April 2015, hope for the girls release was raised when the Nigerian military announced it had rescued 200 girls and 93 women from the Sambisa forest. But, it was quickly dashed as it was revealed that the Chibok girls were not among them.

4. That same month, a video surfaced showing some Chibok girls who were recognized by their families.

5. In May 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in and he pledged to tackle Boko Haram insurgency.

6. Throughout 2015, the Nigerian military announced the rescue of hundreds of people, most of them women and children, who have been kidnapped by the Islamist sect but the missing schoolgirls were not among them.

7. One year after, one of the girls identified as Amina Ali Nkeki was found along with her baby and Mohammad Hayyatu, a suspected Boko Haram militant who claimed to be her husband.

They were found by the Civilian JTF group in the Sambisa Forest. She said some of the girls had died in captivity.

8. In August 2016, the Islamist sect released another video of what appeared to be about 50 Chibok girls. Some of them were holding babies while an armed masked spokesman demanded the release of jailed fighters in exchange for the girls’ freedom. The insurgents also claimed that some of the school girls were killed in airstrikes.

9. In October 2016, Nigerian officials announced the release of 21 of the girls following talks between the government and Boko Haram brokered by Switzerland and the International Red Cross. Sources claimed some Boko Haram prisoners were released as part of the deal to secure the girls’ release. However, the presidency debunked the report.

10. Since the kidnap of the Chibok girls, no fewer than 2,000 girls and boys have been abducted by Boko Haram. According to Amnesty International report, they were been used as cooks, slaves, fighters and even bombers.

11. The Boko Haram insurgents splitlast year with one faction moving away from the group's established leader Abubakar Shekau over his failure to adhere to guidance from Islamic State to which Boko Haram pledged allegiance in 2015. The Islamic State named al-Barnawi as the new leader.

12. In December 2016, President Buhari declared thatBoko Haram has been crushedand driven from its last forest hideout.

13. Report has it that Nigeria is in talks with the insurgents over the release of more of the abducted Chibok girls.

No fewer than 157 girls are still in Boko Haram captivity and the Bring Back Our Girls campaign group has refused to give up hope that the girl will be rescued.

President Buhari in his Easter message enjoins all Nigerians to keep faith in the determination and ability of this administration to change the Nigerian story for the good of all.

The commemoration of this special season in Christianity, is always preceded by fasting, piety, humility, penance and prayers of intercession in the build up to the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, an event which reunited man with his Creator.

The message of Easter is filled with themes of love, faith, sacrifice, dedication, commitment, fulfilment of prophecy, hope, expectation and victory, as espoused in the Scriptures and the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate yet another Easter, I urge all Nigerians to live peacefully with one another and do their utmost to make Nigeria a beautiful place to reside.

In the almost two years of this administration, we have worked hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians by improving security, especially in the North-East, sustaining the campaign against corruption and have taken steps to revitalize the economy.

We are determined as never before to continue with the fight against terrorism and insurgency; sustain the peace in the Niger Delta through engagements with stakeholders; and restore peace and stability in other parts of the country.

It is in our collective interest to live in peace because without peace, no meaningful and sustainable development can take place. Lack of peace in one part affects in one way or the other, all parts of the country. Our people must rediscover the values of peaceful co-existence, social justice, religious tolerance, dignity of labour and patriotism.

I enjoin all Nigerians to keep faith in the determination and ability of this administration to change the Nigerian story for the good of all.

The Easter holidays are here again and the excitement of the period is filling every home; if you plan to have a very enjoyable celebration, especially with your family members, then here are some things you should not forget to purchase when you go shopping.

1. Cooking Essentials
The Easter celebrations cannot be complete without a bountiful meal for the family so this is one very important point to remember. Make sure you are ready to prepare delicious meals by getting all your essential ingredients, this will save you the trouble of running to a store every now and then during the holidays and hence, let you spend more time with your loved ones.

Items such as healthy cooking oils like the Grand Vegetable oil, tomato paste, Dangote salt, spices and Knorr seasoning cubes are especially important, so make sure you get them beforehand.

2. Soft Drinks and Beverages
A real feast for the season is never complete without cool drinks to go with your delicious meals; for the Easter season, it is better to go for non-alcoholic beverages the entire family can enjoy irrespective of their age or the time of the day.

A good idea for this would be Chivita fruit juices, chilled bottles of 7up or Coca-cola ! The Agro-Processors Association of Nigeria has called on the Federal Government to subsidise the price of high yield cassava cuttings to ensure a reduction in the price of garri.

Niger state Chairman of the association, Malam Jamiu Lawal, made the call in Minna on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Lawal said that the measure would reverse the current price of garri from N400 per kilogramme to N150 per kilogramme.

‘‘We want the Federal Government to assist us by subsidising the price of cassava stems to enable farmers reduce the prices of cassava and garri,’’ he said.

He noted that a bundle of cassava cuttings (stems) which was sold for N300 now sells for N500.

The chairman also said that some months ago two tonnes of cassava was sold for N30,000 but now it is selling for N140,000.

He said this increase had impacted on the prices of all the by-products of cassava.

Lawal appealed to government to assist farmers with other inputs such as fertilisers and herbicides in order to ensure increase in cassava production.

He also urged the government to subsidise and facilitate farmers’ access to tractors, processing machine and equipment to attract youths to farming.

The chairman disclosed that the association had started the production of high quality cassava flour, Cassava chips and Camavita (Semovita equivalent). (NAN)

Means "powerful, respected, beloved", derived from Arabic ('azza) meaning "to be powerful" or "to be cherished".

In Islamic tradition al-'Aziz is one of the 99 names of Allah. A notable bearer of the name was Al-'Aziz, a 10th-century Fatimid caliph.

Nigerian fish roll is an extremely common confectionery in Nigeria and a great many other part of Africa. Although much less popular as it was previously, you may still find a great deal of fish move loyalists who wouldn't have other things to go with their drink over a busy afternoon.

Fish roll is merely an assortment of pastry and undoubtedly, flaked fish. The task to make the fish roll is comparable to other snacks; so you may want to check out the procedure below to make some at home.


How to make Nigerian fish roll: Tools needed
*. Rolling pin
*. Mixing bowl
*. Flat surface (wood board)
*. Frying pan
*. Dough cutter (or ruler)
*. Knife

How to make Nigerian fish roll: Ingredients
Dough
*. 250g all-purpose flower
*. 170g butter
*. ¼ teaspoon of salt
*. 2 eggs + 1 egg (for egg wash)
*. ½ teaspoon of baking powder
*. Fresh clean water

Filling
*. 2 medium sized fish
*. 2 medium onions
*. Chilli pepper (to taste)
*. Salt (to taste)
*. 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil
*. Seasoning cubes
*. ½ teaspoon of thyme

How to make Nigerian fish roll: Instructions
Dough
1. Pour the flour into a medium mixing bowl.
2. Add baking powder and butter (in chunks). Add the eggs too.
3. Add lukewarm water, salt and vegetable oil (about 3 spoonful) and mix till you have a smooth stretchy dough.
4. Cover the lumpy mixture with an air tight plastic wrap and leave it to breath in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Filing
1. Wash and cut the fish. Set in a pot and add water.
2. Slice in some onions and add salt to taste.
3. Cook till it’s boiled and empty into a sieve. (you can use the water for some other purposes).
4. When fish is cool, remove all the bones and flake (add onions).
5. Add seasoning cubes, thyme, pepper and salt to taste.
6. Mix well and set aside.

Making the Fish Roll
1. Bring out the dough from the fridge and begin kneading.

2. Knead till you have a smoother and more elastic mixture.

3. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 2-3mm.

4. Use a dough cutter to trim off the edges of the flattened dough, to give you a rectangular shape. (You can return the trimmed edges to the fridge).

5. Place your filling at one end of the rectangular dough.

6. Apply egg wash to the remaining parts of the dough (till about half way, then you can leave it.)

7. Start rolling your dough over till you’re halfway and cut the dough straight in the middle.

8. Repeat step 5-7 for the remaining half and now you should have two long rolls of fillings rolled up in dough.

9. Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into three equal parts.

10. Now heat about 3 spoons of vegetable oil in the frying pan and allow to heat up for 2 minutes.

11. Gently place your rolls in batches (as much as the pan can take but be careful not to overcrowd the pan).

12. Deep fry and make sure the colour changes to golden brown.

13. Repeat for the other rolls till there’s no roll left.

14. Remove from the pan and place in paper towels to soak up the excess oil.

Your Fish roll is prepared to be used with one of your favorite drink in its chilled condition.


Notes
*. If you’ll prefer to bake your egg rolls, after filling and rolling up the dough, brush the outside with egg wash and place in the baking tray.

*. Set your heat gauge to 180 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes.

*. If you don’t have a dough cutter, you can use a ruler (Knife might not be straight).

*. Overcrowding the pan might lead to soggy fish rolls and it might not be presentable.

Good Friday is a period of representation and devotion for Christians around the world. They commemorate the crucifixion and loss of life of Jesus on this day, and await the party of His resurrection on Easter Sunday. Read on and find out a couple of things about Good Friday that you may not need known before.

1. Good Friday has recently become a national holiday in most Countries.
Pope Benedict XVI paid a visit to the Caribbean nation and asked President Raul Castro to make the special day, Holy Week, a public holiday. Castro reportedly gave the Pope his answer before the pontiff left the country. It is the first time Good Friday has been recognized by the government since religious holidays were abolished in the 1960s. Christmas was reinstated after Pope John Paul II’s visit in 1998. It is unknown if Good Friday will remain a national holiday in Cuba after this year.

2. Congregations around the world reenact the crucifixion on Good Friday. In the Philippines, where Catholic fervor blends with indigenous beliefs, some devotees are actually nailed to crosses each year. The Catholic Church has condemned that ritual, but less gruesome reenactments are held in many other countries, including the U.S. Last year groups observed Good Friday with crucifixion reenactments in Michigan, Louisiana and Florida, among other states.

3. Good Friday is also known by several other names, such as Easter Friday, Great Friday (in the Russian Orthodox Church), and Holy Friday. Another name was even was thought to stem from the German, “Gottes Freitag” or“God’s Friday”. Although it may seem odd that such a sad event would be granted a name like “Good Friday,” Christian adherents believe that Jesus sacrifice for the eternal life of humanity is ultimately a positive message.

4. In 1985, two Oxford University researchers published a paper naming April 3, 33 AD as the original date of the crucifixion. They derived that date from astronomical tables, Scriptural documentation, and the years of Pontius Pilate’s term as procurator in Judea – 26-36 AD. The researchers point out that all four Gospels agree the crucifixion occurred during the Jewish festival, Passover.

5. Many religion scholars believe Jesus was crucified by nails driven into his wrists, not hands. French physician Pierre Barbet wrote a book called A Doctor at Calvary, in which he said humans are able to bear their own weight with the strength of their bones and ligaments within the wrists, but not with palms alone. Barbet posited that if Jesus was nailed only in his hands, he would have fallen to the ground. By the time of Jesus death, crucifixion had already been practiced for some 600 years and was a detailed procedure designed to be a very painful process for the victim.

Good Friday is a dominant holiday break for Christians around the world, both in earlier centuries and now. Although government authorities and neighborhoods might change the practises around the vacation over time, for most the essential subject matter remains the same.

Easter and its many indulgences is also recognized annually by the President of the United States with a traditional “Easter Egg Roll” at the White House.

There are many controversies surrounding how prophet Muhammed died. Some argued that the cause of his death is unknown, others say he died of fever, i.e of natural causes, some school of thought say that he died of poisoning.

In this article, we shall highlight all the scenarios on how prophet Mohammed died, citing authoritative sources to back our findings while we call on Muslim scholars and the Islamic faithful to give their opinion as we try to unearth the real cause of the death of Muhammed.

Brief Biography on the Life of Prophet Muhammed
Muhammad is the prophet of Islam who was born around 570 CE in the year of the Elephant in the Arabian city of Mecca. He was orphaned at an early age and was raised under the care of his uncle Abu Talib. It was said that Mohammed would seclude himself in a mountain cave named Hira for several nights of prayer where he was visited by an angel. He received his first revelation from Allah in this mountain after which he went preaching publicly that “Allah is One”, and that complete “surrender” to Allah is the right course of action.

During the early years of preaching Islam, Muhammad gathered few disciples, and met hostility from some Meccan tribes. In a bid to escape persecution, Muhammad sent some followers to Abyssinia before he and his disciples migrated from Mecca to Medina (then known as Yathrib) in the year 622. This event, the Hi-*8--jra, marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar, also known as the Hijri Calendar. In 632, a few months after returning from the Farewell Pilgrimage, it was said that he fell ill with fever and died. Before his death, most of the Arabian Peninsula had converted to Islam.

The revelations of Mohammed known as Ayah, form the verses of the Quran and is widely regarded by the Muslims as the “Word of Allah” and around which the religion is based. Besides the Quran, Muhammad’s teachings and practices (sunnah), can be found in the Hadith and sira literature and are used as sources of Islamic law, Sharia.

Death of Prophet Muhammed
As said earlier, there are various accounts on the circumstances surrounding Mohammed's death. An account which is mostly accepted by Muslims say that he died of illness (fever) on the arms of his wife Aisha while the Jewish source say he died as a result of being poisoned by a Jewish woman, following the conquest of Khaibar, where he took Safiya has a wife, and ordered the torture and beheading of her husband Kinana, the chief of the Jews at Khaibar.

According to Jewish Sources, Muhammad was poisoned by a Jewish woman, following the conquest of Khaibar,where he took Safiyah as a wife, and ordered the torture and beheading of her husband Kinana, the chief of the Jews at Khaibar.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet who ate from it. She was brought to the Prophet and he was asked, “Shall we kill her?” He said, “No.” I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah’s Apostle . Sahih Bukhari 3:47:786….

FNarrated ‘Aisha: The Prophet in his ailment in which he died, used to say, “O ‘Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison.” Sahih Bukhari 5:59:713

The reason behind her action was the killing of her people and family by Muhammad.

The apostle of Allah sent for Zaynab and said to her, “What induced you to do what you have done?” She replied, “You have done to my people what you have done. You have killed my father, my uncle and my husband, so I said to myself, “If you are a prophet, the foreleg will inform you; and others have said, “If you are a king we will get rid of you.” Ibn Sa’d p. 252

It was no secret among the wives, that Aisha was Muhammad’s favorite, and he made this clear as death approached.

Narrated ‘Aisha: that during his fatal ailment, Allah’s Apostle, used to ask his wives, “Where shall I stay tomorrow? Where shall I stay tomorrow?” He was looking forward to Aisha’s turn. So all his wives allowed him to stay where he wished….Sahih Bukhari 7:62:144

….He came out with the help of two men and his legs were dragging on the ground.

He was between Al-Abbas and another man [Ali Ibn Abi Talib].”….Sahih Bukhari 1:11:634

How he Died in the Arms of Aisha
Even from his death-bed, Muhammad was issuing orders and cursing Christians and Jews.….

Then he [Muhammad] ordered them to do three things. He said, “Turn the pagans out of the ‘Arabian Peninsula; respect and give gifts to the foreign delegations as you have seen me dealing with them.” (Said bin Jubair, the sub-narrator said that Ibn Abbas kept quiet as rewards the third order, or he said, “I forgot it.”) Sahih Bukhari 5:59:716

Narrated ‘Aisha and Ibn ‘Abbas: On his death-bed Allah’s Apostle put a sheet over his-face and when he felt hot, he would remove it from his face. When in that state (of putting and removing the sheet) he said, “May Allah’s Curse be on the Jews and the Christians for they build places of worship at the graves of their prophets.” (By that) he intended to warn (the Muslim) from what they (i.e. Jews and Christians) had done. Sahih Bukhari 4:56:660

On the 8th of June, 632 AD Aisha watched Muhammad finally die, slumped on her bosom.

Narrated Aisha:….In front of him there was a jug or a tin, (The sub-narrator, ‘Umar is in doubt as to which was right) containing water. He started dipping his hand in the water and rubbing his face with it, he said, “None has the right to be worshipped except Allah. Death has its agonies.” He then lifted his hands (towards the sky) and started saying, “With the highest companion,” till he expired and his hand dropped down. Sahih Bukhari 5:59:730

….’Aisha added: He died on the day of my usual turn at my house. Allah took him unto Him while his head was between my chest and my neck and his saliva was mixed with my saliva. Sahih Bukhari 7:62:144

From the above two narrations, there have since being a conflict on which hold the true account of the death of prophet Muhammed. He was buried near the Mosque of the Prophet in Medina.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a scheme for graduates from various Nigerian tertiary institutions, as such one would expect the NYSC to be made up of properly educated young men and women.

However, it is sad to note that this is not always the case. There have been reports of cases where members of the corps behaved in manner that could be termed disgraceful. While this is not always the case, a recent Facebook post shows that it still happens.

A Facebook user whose name has been kept hidden to protect his privacy posted the following about the state where he currently serves:

A good example is thatof Cynthia Eseosa Eghe-Nova who now has her name etched in gold in Abuja.

We reported that charity is like a lifestyle for Cynthia, before she renovated the classrooms of the school where she was serving, she had donated 10 mattresses, medications and conducted free medical check-ups for an Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Gurku, Mararaba in Nasarawa state.

She also conducted skill acquisition training on cake baking and decoration for students of Government Day Secondary School in Bwari, Abuja.
