You have lived your life that way before you married but marriage demands additional responsibilities.You must have been comfortable that way because you had just yourself to feed but there are extras now or coming.
If you have a degree then you might need to send out your CVs and job hunt.If you don't have then you will need to acquire a skill or learn a trade.
Whatever you decide,you definitely need to go out.

Angiemartinez,how much of your space does she really take up?Do you have to tend to her many times in a day?
Is she still receiving treatment(chemo sessions) going to the hospital from your house?

If she doesn't need you often during the day and she has her own room,I think you should still give her more time.I say this because of the ailment she is dealing with and the fact that she doesn't have a supportive husband.

Why does it have to be a medical doctor or nurse?Nothing wrong if that is your preference but personally I feel such choices make the relationship not about the person but the profession.

You might need to know there has been an upsurge in incidences of Nigerian men killing their doctor or nurse wives in the US.

Don't go immediately.Start the job but work towards moving eventually.Try and save money so you can have some capital when you eventually decide to move.
While your husband is there,both of you should work out regular visits.He coming to Lagos or you visiting.
You and your hubby should reach an agreement though but I think this is a better choice than moving immediately with him.
