It's not a right or wrong.For me it's a choice.You are not also under obligation to spill out all about your past.....after all it's the past......as long as it has no incriminating effect on the present.

I remember asking my girlfriend her past at first she was reluctant but as times goes on she later budge in and told me about her past which I believe that is not all.
I wasn't ok with what I was hearing from her mouth but it all happened before we met so I can't actually get angry at her.
