In 2015 the case of many Nigerians was akin to that of a transporter who complained that since they had clear evidence that their Hummer Bus was unreliable and fuel inefficient, they would therefore replace it with a Vanagon! The Hummer Bus was proven to be unreliable and fuel inefficient and largely unfit for purpose even though it actually carried out its most basic duties. This still stands. The difference is that WE MUST NOT be deceived into replacing the Vanagon with a wheelbarrow with alloy wheels. . Hummer Bus is the bus commonly used for inter state travel Vanagon is the bus commonly used as Danfo Wheelbarrow is wheelbarrow (with alloy wheels) 3 Likes

1. Because having started his civil service career in the LDWDB (Lagos State Waste Disposal Board) the governor has been dreaming up an opportunity to have a 'cleaner Lagos'. 2. In Public Service and Public Administration there is Misfeasance: "a transgression, especially the wrongful exercise of lawful authority." Nonfeasence: "failure to perform an act that is required by law." Malfeasance: "wrongdoing, especially (US) by a public official." The last one has mal (malice/evil) as a prefix, Nigerian Governments particularly this one appear to act with MALICE/EVIL against its citizens (indeed not simply citizens but those to whom they ordinarily should render account) Individuals can be sued in their personal capacity for any of the three infractions above (in line with the provisions of the Public Officers Protection Act) the caveat though is that Statute of Limitation is 3 Months!! You set off from the motor park and pretty soon it's obvious that the driver is visibly impaired as he keeps having near misses drifting into the lane of incoming vehicles... What do you do? A. Wait till you reach Abuja so you can lodge a complaint with the transport company and tell the driver off. B.
