your analysis is apt but not entirely correct, Tinubu didn't come 2nd in four zones as you claimed. He came first in three zone namely South West, North central & North West) and only came second in two zones namely (North East and south East) the most interesting part that I like in your analysis is the part that you Said despite Atiku winning 5 states in the North West and Tinubu only 2. Tinubu still manage to defeat Atlku in the North West scoring the highest number of valid votes basically because of the margin of lead between APC and PDP in Kano. This is where most Zombidients got in wrong, they lack post election analysis, how could Obi won the election without considering the votes in the core North. For example Tinubu defeats Obi with more than 800,000 votes in Kano alone. This covers Obi margin of lead to Tinubu in More than 5 states namely Taraba, Nassaarawa, Lagos, Bayelsa, Edo, and cross rivers all together.

You are right about the zones, but I was referring to the 7 states of the NorthWest zone, where Tinubu finished a strong 2nd in 4 states and a weak 2nd in Kano.

However, Tinubu finished a very strong 2nd place in all the other 4 states he lost, and while finishing a distant 2nd to NNPP in Kano, he was able to also give a good gap to PDP that finished 3rd.

That gap of over 380K votes that APC gave PDP in Kano is all that mattered to ensure that Tinubu defeated Atiku with over 300K votes in the NorthWest.
