Hello, Biden is still on 290 electoral college votes by the same Fox News, even till now.

I never claimed that BBC scored Biden at 290, nor did I claim CNN that has remain consistent at 279.

So there is no reduction, rather different news media have already made their own independent conclusions on the projected winner of some of the swing states.

So if a Republican leaning Fox News insists on the 290 votes, why then is CNN the headache of some Trump supporters?

See below result tally from 7th Nov and 10th Nov (today). Their respective electoral college votes remain the same, while their individual votes have increased to show that more valid ballots are still being processed but with Biden still extending his lead with the votes.

The whole essence of mail in ballots is for early voters and those not able to be at the polling units such as the elderly, infirm and those based overseas.

In the 2000 case between the last projected winner of Florida (Bush) and the temporary projected winner of Florida for a few hours (Gore), the Supreme Court actually ruled to prevent a recount of ballots in a Florida, claiming a statewide recount would not have been concluded before the deadline date in December to have a winner declared.

As such Bush who was the last projected winner just 1day after the election was finally confirmed as the winner with just over 500votes after waiting for 36days for Gore to re-concede after previously conceding 36days earlier when Bush was initially projected as winner.

Those who argued the case on behalf of the Republican Party included 2 attorneys (Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Barrett) who have now been appointed Supreme Court Judges by Trump.

So if those 2 attorneys then argued to prevent a recount that could have potentially taken the projected victory of Bush with just mere 500+ votes and handed the victory to Gore, what would be their position now concerning a recount when Biden is leading those contested states with tens of thousand votes?

As far as ideology, the changing times have allowed both the Democratic and Republican party to change position on issues like Foreign Policy, Limited Government, and individual states sovereignty.

Remember that it was the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln that disagreed with the state sovereignty arguments of the Confederates, with each Confederate state claiming they had the rights to own slaves, while Abraham Lincoln's Republican federal government argued that the abolishment of slavery was federal and applicable to all states of the union.

Now, it is the same Republican party that is championing the rights of states as opposed to the blanket federal laws on topics such as abortion, rights of the LGBT.

Now, it is the Democratic Party which previously supported limited government, that now supports big government and higher tax on personal income and corporate income.

The Democratic party had the larger population of conservatives before the New Deal of FDR, while the Civil Rights Act of 1964 eventually separated the Democratic Party from the conservatives in the South.

Ironically, the Republican Party government of Abraham Lincoln fought the Confederate States in the American Civil war, yet the states that made up that Confederacy rebellion are states whose local and politics is now largely Republican, while the states that made up the
loyalist Union are now largely Democratic.

So, there is ample evidence that as time changes, ideologies change, as well as support base.

Thank God I was alive and aware then.

That election was not projected for anyone as it was obvious the margin was inconclusive and there were debates over a recount.

In fact, it was Al Gore who had gone ahead to concede to George Bush before he withdrew his concession.

So while there was a brief projection that Al Gore won Florida, it was withdrawn almost immediately and then another projection that Bush won Florida, It was disputed and a recount begun before the supreme court eventually settled it days later to conclude on the previous projection of a Bush win in Florida, hence a Bush win of the overall election.

So the Supreme Court in that matter agreed with the projection of a Bush win in Florida with a little over 500votes after many days (over 30days) it was already called for Bush and not Gore.

So it was Bush who got a confirmation of his projected win after waiting for over 30days. It was Gore who challenged for a recount not Bush.

This will anger some people in Nigeria, as though Trump helped them achieve anything.

Oh I remember, Trump helped some fanatics achieve a period of mercy.
