Obviously! He will drop out this July. |
This was the prayer that finished Peter Obi's presidential ambition. You can lie to man, but cannot lie to God. The Anambra money he domiciled in his bank that made him profit, was not a service to the people. The money he was hiding in secret Pandora offshore accounts under his daughter's name only after he became Anambra Governor, was not a service to the people. Then you dare want to include God in your deception? Haba megida! You will certainly not win.

DMerciful:See the evidence. Abi no be you dey cry like baby on Tinubu matter, even as those wey senior you dey tell you to stop living a delusion and grow up?
|
Baba don dey old ooo. I hope he will stay strong until the thing reach his turn by 2039, if SouthSouth go jonz themselves. Otherwise, let him console himself that when he was Governor, he turned Anambra state to Dubai level. Shikini:When will your own President release his own national minimum wage? Abi as social media President from a Nigerian Labour Party that ensured the Labour Party of UK took over government in that country, he is totally useless to the demands of Labour in Nigeria? |
Righteousness2:You are far gone in this your fanaticism. You are beyond rehabilitation and obviously did not learn from your folly when you continously disgraced yourself over Donald Trump's election loss in 2020. |
alabo1:Very possible. That was the point I was, actually making about the N1 coin still being useful, and the low minimum wage. |
eduli:Actually, by now the 5parties = 1party state government would have continued to rule without any democratic freedoms that you now enjoy. His son would have been preparing to take over from him like it happened in Togo with the Eyadema family. Maybe Peter Obi would have continued working for the Abacha civilian regime, managing all the ports. OBJ would have died in prison like Shehu Musa Yar'Adua. Diya, Olanrewaju, and Adisa would have been executed later in 1998. Sgt Rogers would have continued with his killer squad to eliminate any high profile Nigerian that oppose the Abacha government. Abacha would have continued to promise that workers will smile soon, but would have continued to fight inflation better than the actual governments that came after him. N1 coins could have remained useful, while labour might now have been fighting for N11,500 minimum wage. |
She is a Rivers and Bayelsa combo. Hopefully, this will assuage the feelings of this fellow below in the earlier topic announcing her appointment.

IfnobeGod20:I am still insisting that APP was the forerunner of ANPP. Mahmud Waziri was the national chairman of APP that Oloye Olusola Saraki tried to bribe before the APP presidential primary with N30m cheque from Societe General Bank which he owned and was board Chairman. Mahmud Waziri would later take a ministerial role in the newly inaugurated OBJ government, like Bola Ige of AD who was given the Power and Steel portfolio before being moved to Justice Ministry months later. ANPP only came about as a name change towards the 2003 election. I have given you evidence from a world renowned political center that monitored the political process and democratic transition in Nigeria, but you choose to remain uneducated and ignorant. That is your own loss. I know what I know because I have been following political parties since the 5 leprous fingers of Abacha that endorsed him. When it comes to political history from 1996 onwards, when Sumner Dagogo Jack headed NECON and always appeared on Tonight at 9 with Cyril Stober on NTA network news on Saturdays, I am a breathing encyclopedia. Why I chose to study engineering instead of history or political science, still baffles my family. |
IfnobeGod20:See attached the final report of the Carter Center on the 1998/1999 democratic transition in Nigeria. The center was run by ex President of USA, Jimmy Carter. You can see that the final 3 parties are PDP, APP and AD. APP became ANPP just before the 2003 elections campaign began in 2002.
|
IfnobeGod20:The screenshot is wrong. APP existed before becoming ANPP. Infact the Abdulsalami regime newly formed parties in 1998 were about 10, but after the initial local government elections for which a votes performance parameter was set, they were pruned down to 3, which included the lastly formed AD. Did Peter Obi leave APGA and formed a new party or he went to the ruling party were food was ready? Your analogy on Tinubu's departure from AD, where he left with most of the former Governors and all the elected officials from the party, is not the same as 1man decamping to join another party. Tinubu left the party with his own faction and left behind a carcass for Obasanjo and PDP to continue to toil with and destabilize. |
AcuraZDX:So why lie if you already knew the SDP you included did not exist in 1998? I know you were just ashamed that Tinubu is not a ticket hunter or political prostitute like Obi and Atiku. |
MrBrownJay1:Bros, campaign never really start ooo. Not until after the ongoing RNC convention and the DNC convention later in August. All that is happening now is pre-campaign. |
IfnobeGod20:Point of correction, it was APP that later changed name to ANPP, just as AC changed bame to ACN. The military government of Abdulsalami Abubakar was allowing formation of new parties and not a revival of old parties that were linked to the June 12 crises. So it was not Tinubu's place or any of the party chairman of thise old partues, like Tony Anenih, to re-establish any of SDP or NRC. Jusf as Awolowo and Azikiwe did not re-establish AG or NCNC when the military government finally allowed a return to democracy that was planned for 1st October 1979. So please stop making a foolish argument on that matter by comapring what was reestablished after many years of this current democracy, to the democratic rebirth that was allowed in 1998. That AD, was highly factionalized from 2003 to 2006, is no news to those who followed politics closely then. A party that had about 3 different politicians claiming to be party national chairman to the benefit of Obasanjo's PDP. Yet, Tinubu chose to start again from zero with his own faction in a new party. Tinubu did not dump the party to join the party in government or to join another opposition party. Instead, his own faction of AD merged with other politicians from different parties and formed a new party as foundational members as opposed to political prostitutes or ticket hunters looking for ready food in an already established party. Then after changing name from AC to ACN, that same party went into a bigger alliance to form APC. We all know the political success achieved by APC and Tinubu in sacking the incumbent PDP government and also producing 2 Presidents from the party, so no need to delve further. You can choose to continue deceiving yourself that your beloved political prostitutes and ticket hunters who do not have the patience and dedication of Bola Tinibu, can achieve from the scratch the success that Tinubu achieved by building from ground zero and waiting for his turn. |
In a bid to return Nigeria on the path to democracy, the Abacha military junta allowed for the formation of 5 political parties in 1996 to replace the previously existing 2 parties (SDP and NRC) that participated in the June 12, 1993 presidential election that was conducted by the Ibrahim Babangida regime, which the Abacha junta had disbanded after taking over power from the interim national government of Ernest Shonekan in 1993. Those Abacha 5 parties, 1. United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) 2. Congress for National Concensus (CNC) 3. Grassroot Democracy Movement (GDM) 4. Democratic Party of Nigeria (DPN) 5. National Center Party of Nigeria (NCPN) would later adopt Abacha as a consensus candidate in April 1998, with only some of CNC politicians (Alhaji MD Yusuf and Tunji Braithwaite) putting up some resistance and going to court on that matter, but the Appeal court rejected the suit by claiming it lacked jurisdiction over the case. The aim of the Abacha transition programme was to hand over power to a democratic government on 1st October 1998. National Assembly elections already held on 25th April 1998, while gubernatorial and presidential elections were scheduled for 1st August 1998. Abacha died on 8th June 1998. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/80118.stm

IfnobeGod20:You are a baby if you do not know that Abacha swept away both SDP and NRC, then started his own 5 parties, who were all planning to endorse him before his death. Those Abacha 5 parties, 1. United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) 2. Congress for National Concensus (CNC) 3. Grassroot Democracy Movement (GDM) 4. Democratic Party of Nigeria (DPN) 5. National Center Party of Nigeria (NCPN) Did not include any SDP or NRC. Nor was there any SDP or NRC when during the Abdulsalami Abubakar regime, we had PDP, APP and AD. The current SDP only came about some few years ago, just as NRC can be recreated anytime if any group of politicians feel so inclined, but that will not mean it has been existing all this while. Or you mean if AG or NCNC is created again, it would mean the newly formed party have been existing since before independence? So those of us who are not ignorant, are right to say Tinubu did not dump any party, but has entered into alliances with his faction of AD to have the current APC. All the time being a foundational member and not a ticket hunter member looking for where food is ready. |
MrBrownJay1:Still enough time to campaign before elections in November and nominations have not been ratified yet until the Democratic convention is held. |
Eriokanmi:Trump has never pretended not to be a racist to secure the support of his hillbilly MAGA lunatics. What I am trying to say is that Trump has had to pretend to be a racist to keep the bandwagon he has supporting him. And that need to continue to project his racist act, is what led to the escalation of the Black Lives Matter protests that eventually galvanized the Democrats to defeat him. I believe that he wonders at times, how lucky he is to have such a large crowd of "deplorables" who need somebody to lead them, and he appeared on the scene at the right time. Trump took the US to a new low, that even we in Nigeria can draw references from his era in power to defend our own very low democracy. Imagine the Capitol Hill insurrection. China and Russia would just be laughing at the so-called leader of the democratic free world. |
I have seen recent videos of President Biden and coupled with the information released today (Wednesday 17th July), that he has contacted COVID-19 again, I would wager that he will quit the presidential race before the end of this month, if not by end of this week. Most top Democrats both in the Senate and House of Representatives, are now piling more pressure on Biden to drop out and take care of his health. |
Kobojunkie:Just note that if one particular government can be brought to an end outside of the constitutional methods, then all governments can be likewise brought to an end in whatever way any interested group see fit. We can all exhibit madness at our respective appointed times. |
I watched him on CNN some hours ago, but still did not get the details of what interaction between him and the flight attendant resulted to him deserving handcuffs. Flight attendants think themselves to be God because they fly in the air. Airline staff, even the ones on the ground, need a new orientation on how they engage their patrons. |
Sheuns:Can Tinubu remain in SDP if the party did not exist as, at 1998 when new parties were created to begin the return to democracy? So from AD that was later factionlized with multiple Party Chairman claims, his faction of AD formed the AC with other party politicians which changed name to ACN, just like APP changed name to ANPP, then same ACN went into a merger with ANPP, CPC, and a faction of APGA. The recurring decimal is that Tinubu moved with his party all the time and was a foundational member of those party transitions. He was not a ticket hunter or political prostitute moving up and down to existing parties. |
AcuraZDX:Did SDP exist when Nigeria was to return to democracy with the death of Gen Sani Abacha? |
Congratulations to her. |
nedu666:The Ojota protest you continue to reference is the reason why Yorubas realised that they should stop protesting when their own brother or political ally is in power. For the first time since democratic Nigeria, the igbos then and till now made the 2012 anti-subsidy protest a Yoruba and North protest, despite that all of Nigeria enjoyed the reprieve that came from that protest. We will always remember your treachery and unlike the protests during the Obasanjo and Yar'Adua regimes, we will not lead any protest against our own political benefits like SouthEast and SouthSouth proved to us in 2012. Thanks for reminding us all the origin of the ethnic classification of a national protest. Till today, you refer to the Ojota protest of 2012 as a tribal nonsense, so every other protest must remain a tribal nonsense. And that is how and why protests have been hard under the Buhari and Tinubu regimes, because it is all nonsense as defined by the SouthEast and SouthSouth. |
DMerciful:Dem dey try to rehabilitate you from your delusion, but you insist that you must bear agony for 16years. Na you wan remove Tinubu? To put who? |
mrvitalis:Is Akpabio from SouthWest? Or is the Senate President not from the SouthSouth? So if both Tinubu and Akpabio are jointly referred to a Southern politicians, is that an error? |
Kukutenla:Have you given proof of me supporting any impeachment of any Governor or Deputy as an abuse of democratic process? I support that they keep the harmony however way possible, else Fubara should forget about a 2nd term ticket with a PDP that Wike controls. The irony is those who considered Fubara an illegitimate Governor, but are now fully praising him to slight Wike who is considered a more dangerous political enemy. And we are back to how the legend of wicked Wike was created to slight Amaechi because he was not in the good books of President Jonathan and the First Lady. Amaechi wanted to be an independent Governor that ran his state without the influence of Abuja, but Patience Jonathan and husband would not have that, and junior minister Wike kept using federal resources to embarrass and harass a duly elected Governor who was ultimately forced out of the then ruling party (PDP). Who were those urging Wike on then and celebrating every abuse of federal power? You and I know they are the same people who have now become tired of the wiked Wike they created. |
Brendaniel:You mean you also do not know that Jonathan was advised not to regard the SouthWest? That with the SouthSouth, SouthEast, and MiddleBelt in his side, the Muslim North and SoutWest will not taste power again. So it is no surprise that he failed woefully in the same SouthWest who led his campaign to be recognised as Acting President, and who supported him in his first president election. The real surprise is that even the MiddleBelt got tired of his cluelessness, and supported Buhari and APC in 2015. |
helinues:For some of them, Nigeria began in 2015. |
Kukutenla:Lucky him. What should be the norm has become aberration, so I say lucky him. |
