Unperturbedpota:

Your comment is as laughable as it is poorly thought out. Blaming idle soldiers and police for the actions of vandals and saboteurs shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how security and governance work. Let's break down your flawed reasoning and point out the real issues.
Firstly, expecting soldiers and police to shoot vandals on sight reveals a dangerous and inhumane mindset. Do you really think summary executions are the solution? What you’re suggesting is anarchy, not law and order. Enforcing laws requires more than just brute force; it requires intelligence, strategy, and respect for human rights.
Secondly, firing Mele Kyari for issues that are systemic and deeply rooted in corruption, inadequate infrastructure, and poor governance is a simplistic and naive solution. Leadership changes are necessary, but they need to be part of a broader strategy that addresses the root causes of these problems.
Your suggestion that soldiers and police should act as executioners is not only illegal but also counterproductive. It would lead to more chaos, human rights violations, and international condemnation. The real solution involves comprehensive reforms in security, better coordination between agencies, and robust community engagement to tackle the root causes of vandalism and sabotage.
Blaming one person or suggesting extrajudicial killings doesn't address the complexity of the situation. It's time to move beyond simplistic and violent solutions and start thinking about sustainable, lawful, and humane ways to protect national assets and ensure security.
If you truly want to see change, advocate for systemic reforms, accountability at all levels of government, and better training and resources for security personnel. Your current approach is not only misguided but dangerous, and it's certainly not the way to build a stable and prosperous nation. I pity you if you were in executive office and do not know how to even bite those who are wielding knives at you. E be like say you be JJC? You must be from the UK where the Prime Minister resigns over any trifle because it is a fancy gentlemanly thing to do. You think those against you are also gentlemen from the UK? |

For someone who goes about showing Throwback of others, you seem not to be faring better Did he pursue it further and get a final judicial conclusion? No! Because he opted for a political solution to an impeachment that was itself political. My position has not changed on this matter regardless of the state or the politicians involved. Any legal pursuit need to be taken away from the dictatorial influence of the state Governor, so a state court will not just cut it. |

Anyone who wants to protest should be allowed to do so in any part of the country.
My only problem is that since Tinubu and his party became the governing party in 2015, they have refused to teach the new opposition how to go about a protest.
If the protests hold, and vandalism becomes the order of the day, let the tear gasses start flying heavily in that direction, and arrests must be made and prosecution effected.
No one has the right to be a nuisance to another. |

If it was pursued fully in the courts (federal) like he was already doing, I am certain his impeachment would have been nullified. So we cannot say it stood. |

Kukutenla: How do you know Fubara is the one quarrelling with Wike and not the other way round. It was Wike who ordered for his impeachment as we all know. Since the benefactor singlehandedly put him in office, same benefactor cannot just want him out of office immediately, except there is a refusal on the part of the Godson to submit to the dictates of the Godfather. That refusal from the Godson is inherently the quarrel. Any impeachment of Fubara owing to his political disagreement with Wike, will not stand in any court. Such abuse of legislative and democratic processes are being heavily discouraged at the federal courts. State courts as we all know, are mighty useless. The most Wike should expect as a victory in this ongoing feud, is to prevent Fubara from securing a return ticket of PDP. |

Kukutenla: Wike and Fubara. Tell us about it Same situation. No one should be threatened with impeachment due to political fallouts with their benefactors. If Wike has fallen out with Fubara, the political thing to be done is to deny him your political support for a new term, while Fubara tries to re-attain the same office with his own political goodwill and capital if he can build such. It is that simple, and that was what played out with Ambode in Lagos. Without the support of Tinubu, Ambode could not re-attain the party ticket he previously got owing to Tinubu's support. Democracy simply played itself out without the abuse of any power to suspend from party, or to impeach, or to screen-out from participating in the primary like Obaseki suffered at the hands of Oshiomhole. The irony is that Obaseki who suffered such abuse of power, still went ahead to repeat a similar abuse with the impeachment of his deputy that was simply exercising his democratic franchise. |

Unperturbedpota: It's clear you're entrenched in your own self-righteous narrative, trying to pass off your biases as objective opinions. Your transparent attempt to paint yourself as some impartial critic while making sweeping generalizations about others only highlights your shallow understanding of the issues.
Your disdain for Kanu and your indifference to the judicial process concerning him reveal your inability to see beyond your prejudices. Legal processes should be respected, and justice should be served impartially, regardless of personal feelings. Your selective outrage is glaringly obvious.
As for your commentary on Peter Obi and other politicians, your thinly veiled disdain for any critique of your preferred politicians while freely condemning others showcases your hypocrisy. Condemnation of failures should be based on facts and fairness, not on biased cherry-picking of who deserves scrutiny and who doesn’t.
Your claim of never condemning federal court judgments while lambasting state-level actions as "dictatorial" is a flimsy shield for your inconsistent stance on justice. It's laughable to see you try to maintain a facade of impartiality when your words reek of double standards.
If you want to be taken seriously in discussions about governance and justice, drop the hypocritical act. Engage in honest, fact-based critiques without the need for personal vendettas or selective outrage. Until then, your arguments will continue to be as transparent and unconvincing as your attempts to appear unbiased. I see what your problem is that is causing your agony. You love Kanu the riff-raff terrorists who wanted to usurp the constitutional and legitimate leadership that the people of the SouthEast region already have, and considered himself their government who must dictate to them and also dictate to the federal government who must therefore acknowledge him and call him to the table to discuss matters that affect the SouthEast. The ego of the riff-raff has been deflated and the madness he suffers will soon be exorcised from his being. Secondly, you are part of the Obidient bandwagon who insist Obi is saint and must be forced down the throat of everyone. You retain your right to criticise other politicians but become terribly upset to the point of insanity, that a mere mortal dare to criticise saint Obi of the beggy-beggy Yes Daddy religious warfare infamy? You do not dictate what is right or wrong. Keep all eyes on the judiciary and be accepting of their judicial outcomes which must not always align with your prejudices and delusions. |

Did u lot not slander the Vp for exercising his constitutional right? The only difference is u were not buhari who can impeach him but every other thing u did against him.
Same thing u lot did to ambode. Ambode lost the support of his political benefactor and Godfather, but was not prevented from contesting for the party ticket, which he lost woefully in a direct primary. Nothing undemocratic about that scenario. I am happy you mentioned every other thing besides abusing powers just to settle political differences. There is nothing absurd about political differences and attacks between opposing camps, what matters is the abuse of power and processes to achieve victory over the political opponent. Again, I am happy you could not reference such abuse of power or process in the examples you have given. A case of comparing apples to oranges. |

Unperturbedpota: It's amusing how you try to deflect by suggesting there’s turmoil in my heart when it’s clearly you who is desperately clinging to half-baked narratives. You paint yourself as a champion of justice while conveniently ignoring your own biases and selective outrage.
Your hollow assertions and misplaced confidence are laughable. You fail to see that your hypocrisy is as transparent as your weak attempts at moral grandstanding. Instead of addressing real issues, you resort to cheap tactics and baseless accusations.
Your so-called celebration of justice rings hollow when it’s clear you’re only interested in settling personal scores. If you had any genuine respect for the judiciary and democracy, you’d drop the hypocritical act and engage in meaningful dialogue.
Until you can rise above your petty vendettas and embrace a more balanced view, your words will remain as empty as your arguments. Your bias against Peter Obi and the support of the continuous detention of Kanu despite being grated bail are evident to your true biases. I have no love for a terrorist Kanu who is being legally held. Nor have I defended any other terrorists or groups. I believe he should face his court case and face the judgement that emanates therefrom. As for Peter Obi who is one of many politicians in Nigeria, I am not part of the bandwagon who want to cast all Nigerian politicians as sinners, while carefully trying to paint a saint out of a particular politician that was no different from any other politician who served as Governor. So it is my right to condemn his failures as it is the right of others to condemn the failures of Atiku or Tinubu or Kwankwaso or Sowore. You can hate me for that, it is very typical of those who are in the bandwagon of the manchurian candidate. Again, I have never condemned any court judgement given at any federal court beyond the dictatorial powers and manipulations of State Governors. I am not like some people who had eyes on the judiciary with a delusion that only the judgement that suits them is good for our democracy. |

Politics › Re: Court Reinstates Philip Shaibu As Edo Deputy Governor by Throwback: 12:52pm On Jul 17, 2024 |
Unperturbedpota: Your attempt to cloak your bias in the guise of celebrating justice is transparent. Celebrating justice should not be selective—it should be about upholding the rule of law and ensuring fairness for all, regardless of political affiliations.
It's clear you have an axe to grind against this governor, but your celebration of the judiciary's ruling is overshadowed by your own prejudices. Justice should not be about settling personal scores or demonizing political opponents; it should be about ensuring that everyone, including governors, respects the constitution and the rights of all citizens.
If you truly believe in protecting democracy, then stop cherry-picking judgments to suit your agenda. Respect for the judiciary means accepting rulings, even if they don’t align with your preferences. Your reference to a "dictator Governor" undermines the judicial process and shows a lack of respect for due process and the separation of powers.
Instead of gloating over perceived victories, why not advocate for a Nigeria where justice is blind and everyone is treated fairly under the law? That’s the true essence of democracy and justice. If only you could show me anywhere I condemned any court judgement on matters that proceed to any level of federal courts? Like I said, there is so much turmoil in your heart. |

Unperturbedpota: Yet time again you have defended the Federal Governments abuse of power on this platform? It's laughable how you try to twist the narrative to suit your shallow understanding of governance and justice. Your blatant hypocrisy is showing.
You condone a governor's dictatorial behavior yet condemn a federal court's correction. What kind of twisted logic is that? You can’t cherry-pick justice to fit your biases.
The deputy governor exercised his constitutional rights and faced retaliation from a power-hungry governor. Yet, here you are, defending such tyranny while trying to make some convoluted point. It’s clear you don’t understand the principles of democracy and justice.
Your reasoning is as flawed as your ability to hold a consistent argument. Instead of justifying injustices, why not try understanding the bigger picture? Dictatorship at any level is unacceptable, and your blind allegiance only highlights your ignorance. If you truly cared about justice, you wouldn’t be defending the indefensible. It seems your conscience is not at peace. There is no defense of anything in my post, but a celebration of justice beyond the powers of a dictator Governor. Like all sensible Nigerians, celebrate the protection of our democracy by the Judiciary, and stop cherry picking what judgement is good or bad. The court has ruled and the dictator Governor can choose to appeal, but he will learn that there is no state court available to do his bidding. |

To make it clear, anyone could be elected in a conclave, so no one is more worthy than the other, neither can anyone claim to be bypassed.
