When I watched the video where he was pressed by the interviewer to confirm or deny the authenticity of the audio tape, I felt immense shame for Peter Obi, and pity for his blind supporters.

On the eve of Nigeria's independence celebration in 2014, Tinubu called for a common sense revolution that would retire PDP from government and bring about a change in Nigeria.

Tinubu saw to it that the revolution was accomplished less than a year later, without any riot or anarchy, but democratically as he advocated.

Not many politicians are able to win elections, not to talk about actualizing a strategic democratic and peaceful revolution that came to pass.

Many months has since passed without any lawsuit from him, or apology or retractment from People's Gazette.

Even when pressed recently over the authenticity of the shameful audio tape that forever ended his presidential ambition in a multi-religious Nigeria, the cunning fellow went off course to say something totally irrelevant to the question he was asked.

Having been recently accused of promoting chaos and anarchy in the country as a result of his electoral defeat, he has again threatened to sue the media aide of the President, Bayo Onanuga.

Many are wondering why he is yet to sue People's Gazette as he threatened over a year after his shameful audio conversation was released.

This opportunist that has no record of ever fighting for the return of democracy during the dark days of the military junta, is the one who promised to give us a new Nigeria. Maybe his own version of a new Nigeria is where there is no freedom of speech.
