tishbite42:How can I who has educated you be wallowing in ignorance? How can I contradict myself on a point you introduced to the discourse and which I made sure to reiterate to you because I already know you wallow in ignorance, that you actually introduced it to the discussion? You mentioned someone was bypassed, and you still just mentioned now that we have had great black Cardinals. You are still towing the line that when a Pope is to be elected from the college of Cardinals, the Conclave must settle for the greatest. You already imply that some are more qualified and if a less qualified is chosen, the more worthy person has been bypassed. As in, dem "bypass" one of the branch managers, and settled for the General Manager who already had oversight powers to become the new MD/CEO? Na so madness of logic dey start. So by what parameter is Cardinal Arinze ahead of a Cardinal Ratzinger, who by the very appointment, role and task assigned, is senior to Cardinal Arinze? He even claimed Cardinal Arinze outworked his Dean? Beer parlour statistics I presume? If not that you are ignorantly racist, for which you have been publicly put to shame by your own unverified claims, by what parameter was Cardinal Arinze greater than his own Dean at the 2005 Conclave that elected Cardinal Ratzinger who was the Dean himself and Prefect of the most important Vatican congregation? What is there to defend when I have actually defeated your foolish claims on the subject of Cardinal superiority between Cardinal Arinze and his Dean, Cardinal Ratzinger? And this is about Cardinal Arinze because you brought it up, and then you made a foolishly ridiculous claim that he was bypassed for Cardinal Ratzinger. You cannot hold on to a foolish thought and not actually remain foolish. I only fear for those whithout access to factual information, who are then miseducated by someone who himself is lacking the required education. |
tishbite42:You are an old entitled ignoramus. Cardinal Ratzinger was the Dean of the college of Cardinals, the Prefect for the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith (the most superior of all the congregations that a Cardinal could be appointed to) , a Cardinal before Arinze, a Cardinal Bishop before Arinze, he was the highest ranking of all the Cardinals whilst Pope John Paul held the papacy. Cure your ignorance, and stop with the entitlement. Besides, it is not a hierarchy matter as any Cardinal can be made Pope. But since you brought it up and made it the cornerstone of your disappointment that Cardinal Arinze was not selected, then make peace with the fact that the one selected was already above him. Otherwise, it is not the birthright of any Cardinal to become Pope ahead of any other, and you are not the one who gave the vocation, to determine who worked more than the other, that is rather foolish thinking typical of beer parlour arguments. Finally, would Cardinal Arinze had preferred to die ahead of Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Emeritus Benedict VI) that was older than him? tishbite42:So I ask you ignoramus again, how can the Junior Arinze be adjudged to have been bypassed in favour of his senior Cardinal who was already tasked with more responsibilities that included the most superior Vatican congregation and the Deanship of the college of Cardinals? Could your brain be suffering from racism? And how many of you are the "we" who flock together in miseducation? |
tishbite42:How can Cardinal Arinze who was lower in hierarchy be bypassed for Cardinal Ratzinger who was already the number 2 man behind Pope John Paul II? You suffer your delusion alone ooo. No be community problem. |
givedemwotowoto:Since PDP left power, assissinations suddenly stopped. |
shortgun:You should have told those threatening not to supply their "Oyel" to Dangote to shut up. |
NwaNimo1:See as tone don dey change. Gone are the days some were boasting that they will not sell their "oyel" to Dangote because he did not site his refinery in their own region. That they will see how he will operate without them. Now, they are equally lamenting why Dangote is buying crude from other countries. Who would lose if Dangote gets his crude oil from outside Nigeria? The answer is in the cry of sabotage. Self-destructive sabotage. |
dumahi:Was it not corruption when he invested state public funds in the same brewery that he had a significant stake? What about when he domiciled state funds in the bank he has significant interests and was the former board chairman? What about when his convoy was caught in Lagos with N250m cash that was laundered all the way from Anambra? Is he not part of the deep corruption? |
yarimo:Can one go to court to cause himself more political injury? |
obiekunie01:It is called I will not commit political suicide response. Since when the audio was leaked, he has been doing everything to win favour in the North and with Muslims, but he starts again from ground zero anytime the audio is replayed. He is politically done in a Nigeria where Muslims will also vote. |
mrvitalis:Besides statutory appointments that require national spread, Buhari concentrated his appointments in his political power base, which was all of the North, and SouthWest. Tinubu's political power base is SouthWest and all of the North, so no suprise that his non-statutory appointments have mirrored Buhari’s own. At least, SouthEast got a Military Service Chief (Navy) role in Tinubu's government, which Buhari did not give as it was not statutory like ministerial appointment. Tinubu knows not to waste appointments, like Buhari knew also. If anything at all, Tinubu has learnt from his appointment folly when he was Governor. If you show Tinubu he can count on your support, only then will his Southern appointments be more evenly spread like his Northern appointments. Buhari knew he could count on the whole North, Tinubu knows he cannot count on the whole South. Some of you have your dream Southern President existing on social media, and effective in offering condolences and congratulations to those he can buy to his side, not those who know him to be gbajue. |
ALTERNATEID:I was so surprised myself. Was it Yorubas that were lamenting whenever the Buhari regime removed a Yoruba from office and appointed a Northerner as a replacement? Was it Yorubas that lamented whenever the Buhari regime announced multiple appointments and a few names are Yorubas while the majority are Northerners? We took our share despite even being derided by the same people like the wailing OP, that we were only getting crumbs for our support given to the North/Buhari. Then they said the Yorubas have been used and dumped, have been sidelined, etc. Yet same people now want to revise their own claims of tribalism that they made themselves against the Buhari regime, in a bid to make more claims against the Tinubu regime. Maybe in the future, they will also dissociate themselves from the Tinubu regime being tribalist, using the data from a 1year period, and claiming the media misinformed them while also claiming it was another ethnicity that was lamenting now? Very cunning of Mrvitalis. Blame yourself for whatever tribalism accusations you made against the Buhari regime. |
Antivirus92:Na who finally treat malaria due to postulations on who will win in Rivers? Instead of 25%, Wike even delivered total victory. |
Kingsmeal:You mean the SDP that was dissolved by the military government of Abacha? While AD then AC are the transformations that eventually led to APC that still remained an opposition party that sacked a ruling party from government. Put some respect on Tinubu's name. Not many will patiently wait in the opposition and continue to form alliances to have a bigger opposition party, while always being a foundation member of each of those parties, as opposed to being a ticket hunter looking for a ready made party to accommodate his ambition to be presidential candidate. |
SmartPolician:Don't mince words. Just say you appreciate the likes of Tinubu who were patient and refused to be political prostitutes or ticket hunters. |
PointZerom:Remember how Igbos on this forum advised Jonathan to chase Yoruba leaders away whenever they come again to complain about being marginalized in that regime? They further advised Yorubas to go and meet Tinubu their leader if they want anything. The Yorubas certainly went with their leader, and we know how that has paved the way for a better political reward for Yorubas since 2015, starting with the democratic sacking of that very same Jonathan regime. |
bobby007:Exactly! He will only give them what is statutory, but he will be foolish to reward them beyond that when there are many qualified supporters to reward. Only a foolish politician will abandon his political base. |
franudi:What did Tinubu benefit from his previous support for Igbos? Only the hate of the same people he accommodated in his administration as Lagos Governor. |
iwaeda:He is already on course to execute the exact type of revolution that has been credited to him in 2014. Starting with eradicating the stranglehold that PDP had on Nigeria less than a year later in 2015. A man of his words. He said, “The longer they rule, the less benefit the people derive. Nigeria now needs a ‘common sense revolution,’ a revolution that calls forth a return to decency, probity, transparency of process and fairness in outcome. |
He said, “The longer they rule, the less benefit the people derive. Nigeria now needs a ‘common sense revolution,’ a revolution that calls forth a return to decency, probity, transparency of process and fairness in outcome. We can see that Tinubu has remained steadfast and is implementing the things he advocated for as a revolution. He was instrumental in helping us get rid of PDP to begin the change that has stsrted since the Buhari regime. He has also remembered the natiinal anthem of the Nigerian independence and restored it. He is already on course to restructure Nigeria. All of this was done democratically and constitutionally, without any insurrection or subterfuge. A man of his words, who knows his way and knows that time will have to pass to get to the promised land. How many if his peers are that patient and remain with their conviction of a noble ambition? |
You want him to celebrate a Yoruba man that was bold enough to tell him he is delusional to think he won an election without the majority votes and the national spread requirements? |
Kingsmeal:But is he not collecting LGA funds and singlehandedly deciding what they will receive out of what is already theirs? That power has been neutralised by the Supreme Court. |
Indispensable85:Very obvious! As though their previous total control of LGA funds was able to prevent the hunger in the land. |
Even with the hunger in the land that we all acknowledge, let there still be autonomy for the LGAs. OK! Kingsmeal:But him like all the other Governors, will no longer control the funds of the local governments like they have been doing even with elected LGA officials. So he is obviously at a heightened state of disillusion and disenchantment with the landmark ruling of the Supreme Court. |
A complete Literary icon. Prose Play/Drama Poetry Then the crowning glory of a Nobel Literature Prize. The very 1st African and Black to earn such prize for Literature. |
helinues:Very personal I must say. He thinks he can harass Tinubu the way Kwankwaso was using Kano votes to harass and subdue Jonathan to the point where Jonathan sacked the newly appointed Festus Odimegwu from the National Population Commission, just to please Kwankwaso. Still, Kwankwaso left PDP for APC with his Kano votes in 2014. Senator Ali Ndume lamented the inaccessibility of the current president, unlike during former President Olusegun Obasanjo's tenure, where senators could meet with the president within 24 hours.Daniel Bwala has rightly identified the selfishness of Ndume. |
Bobloco:I think say you be adult. I no know say na pikin you still be. You still have a long way to go.
|
MASTAkiLLAh:You are obviously new to Nigerian style of politics. Actually, Nigerian style of politics continue to thrive because of gullible partisans like yourself.
|
Arapmoi22:Meaning, he only did so when he knew his own regime was already on the way out. He wanted to have total power, but against the constitution, and then did not want his self installed successor to enjoy such power, so he made sure he supervised the elections of those who would be at the local governments when he had left office. |
Hahahahahaha. See as dem just dey pull Obi pant anyhow until the thing slack like akube. |
Tokskob2008:When Speaker Ghali Umar Na'aba was pushing to impeach President Obasanjo, were they not in the same party that is PDP? |
Temitope Ajayi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity in a post on his Facebook page labeled Ndume as a "loose cannon and careless talker". |
PresidObi:That is your only interest in the matter. |

Peter Obi is NOT perfect. But, there's no doubt that he's among the best of the alternatives. This video did not reveal what he said before or after. For instance, he was still trying to give examples from his past showing that he's not a bigot when you terminated the view. And true, his ADC as a governor was a Muslim and they still have good relationship until now. I've read news where the man spoke well of him. That's not like what a religious bigot would do.
