Cardinal Ratzinger was the Dean of the college of Cardinals, the Prefect for the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith (the most superior of all the congregations that a Cardinal could be appointed to) , a Cardinal before Arinze, a Cardinal Bishop before Arinze, he was the highest ranking of all the Cardinals whilst Pope John Paul held the papacy.

Cure your ignorance, and stop with the entitlement.

Besides, it is not a hierarchy matter as any Cardinal can be made Pope.

But since you brought it up and made it the cornerstone of your disappointment that Cardinal Arinze was not selected, then make peace with the fact that the one selected was already above him.

Otherwise, it is not the birthright of any Cardinal to become Pope ahead of any other, and you are not the one who gave the vocation, to determine who worked more than the other, that is rather foolish thinking typical of beer parlour arguments.

The level of corruption in Nigeria is so deep that anything is possible. When you are totally against corruption, corruption can go to any length (both physical and metaphysical) to fight you back.

Was it not corruption when he invested state public funds in the same brewery that he had a significant stake?

What about when he domiciled state funds in the bank he has significant interests and was the former board chairman?

What about when his convoy was caught in Lagos with N250m cash that was laundered all the way from Anambra?

Is he not part of the deep corruption?

Besides statutory appointments that require national spread, Buhari concentrated his appointments in his political power base, which was all of the North, and SouthWest.

Tinubu's political power base is SouthWest and all of the North, so no suprise that his non-statutory appointments have mirrored Buhari’s own.

At least, SouthEast got a Military Service Chief (Navy) role in Tinubu's government, which Buhari did not give as it was not statutory like ministerial appointment.

Tinubu knows not to waste appointments, like Buhari knew also.

If anything at all, Tinubu has learnt from his appointment folly when he was Governor.

If you show Tinubu he can count on your support, only then will his Southern appointments be more evenly spread like his Northern appointments.

Buhari knew he could count on the whole North, Tinubu knows he cannot count on the whole South.

Some of you have your dream Southern President existing on social media, and effective in offering condolences and congratulations to those he can buy to his side, not those who know him to be gbajue.

We took our share despite even being derided by the same people like the wailing OP, that we were only getting crumbs for our support given to the North/Buhari. Then they said the Yorubas have been used and dumped, have been sidelined, etc.

Yet same people now want to revise their own claims of tribalism that they made themselves against the Buhari regime, in a bid to make more claims against the Tinubu regime.

Maybe in the future, they will also dissociate themselves from the Tinubu regime being tribalist, using the data from a 1year period, and claiming the media misinformed them while also claiming it was another ethnicity that was lamenting now?

We can see that Tinubu has remained steadfast and is implementing the things he advocated for as a revolution.

He was instrumental in helping us get rid of PDP to begin the change that has stsrted since the Buhari regime.

He has also remembered the natiinal anthem of the Nigerian independence and restored it.

He is already on course to restructure Nigeria.

All of this was done democratically and constitutionally, without any insurrection or subterfuge.

A man of his words, who knows his way and knows that time will have to pass to get to the promised land.

How many if his peers are that patient and remain with their conviction of a noble ambition?

LG Erection was conducted on 11th January, 2014 and Peter left office on 14th March, 2014.
This is the reason he kept kwayet about Supreme Court Judgement on LG financial autonomy.

Meaning, he only did so when he knew his own regime was already on the way out.

He wanted to have total power, but against the constitution, and then did not want his self installed successor to enjoy such power, so he made sure he supervised the elections of those who would be at the local governments when he had left office.
