I just watched a video on Al-Jazeera that interviewed Nigeriens traders. They said inflation has shot up like crazy, and it's going to get worse. Alot of them are stocking up for their own and their family personal consumption.

Niger republic is one of the poorest countries in Africa and it relies on 40% aid from other African countries, especially ECOWAS, and the west to finance its budget. Now that the 40 % aid has been frozen, that's a big chunk of a country's budget. This honeymoon would soon be over and reality would set in that the military has nothing to offer.

By the time the ECOWAS sanctions kick in, even the current military junta would have nowhere to hide from the wrath of the same people now jubilating.

The only solution now is that the stakeholders of Nigeria (owners of Nigeria or whatever they are called) and the West (US, UK, France) who may have been supporting Tinubu for whatever reason best known to them, must now realize that Tinubu was a mistake that should not have happened in the first place. And if Nigeria must return to her place of pride in the ECOWAS subregion, then there is need for the country to have a president who will not only be respected at home but also outside the boarders of Nigeria. Once Nigerians regains her respect, she will can issue commands that would be respected and with it would come the stability of West Africa.
