Nothing is too early in naija politics. You start strategists early enough. Jonathan mistake was he refused to do this immediately he won in 2011. He should have identified his likely opponents and silenced them quite early.
But Jonathan did identify his most significant threat and docked Tinubu using the Code of Conduct Tribunal, but Tinubu was too big for the moi-moi schemes of Jonathan.

Eventually, it was Tinubu that used Buhari and APC to sack Jonathan.

Today, Tinubu is President.

These ones (both Philip Shaibu and Godwin Obaseki) have no loyalty but to their ambition.

The likes of political prostitutes and desperate ticket hunters Atiku and Obi are their mentors and would always fail to get higher office above their current station.

Foreign AffairsRe: Niger: Coup Leaders remain defiant, form new Govt; appoint 21 Ministers by Throwback: 11:29am On Aug 10, 2023
Kukutente23:
There's nothing like pattern. Stop swallowing gibberish from western propaganda outlets except you are one of them. All the countries were coup have taken place are francophone.
There's no way the coup affects the stability of the region because Niger was led by military regime from 1999 to 2010 and Nigeria had a civilian govt with no threat of coup whatsoever. Your claim is more of paranoia than reality.
However, if the underlying issues which led to the coup, such as civilian govt becoming western puppets and running the Country aground in all spheres in a bid to please the west, becomes a reality in Nigeria or any other west African country, the govt runs a risk of being toppled, if not via coup, then via revolutionary method.

And to your question, Ecowas has no business ensuring the "legitimate" rule cause no ecowas Country signed a pact that democracy is the only allowed form of govt. If ECOWAS wants to become the political system police, then it should also ensure that democratic ideals are obeyed by those in power.

And ivory Coast president just forced a third term for himself. Its that your idea of democracy?
Niger was led by a democratic regime from 1999 to 2010.

Guinea, Mali, Burkina-Faso, now Niger, and you say there is no pattern until it includes Ivory Coast, Liberia, Ghana and Nigeria?

Kukutente23:
What's my business with Niger
Tinubu who was deemed elected should pay attention to those who elected him and resolve the self- inflicted pains he's brought on the citizenry.
We should be discussing Nigeria and Nigerians here not Niger.
This is nairaland not francland
And you think that a pattern of military usurpation in West Africa, does not affect the democratic stability of the rest of the countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory Coast that are currently with democratic governments?

Do you want a return to military dictatorship in Nigeria?

If your answer is No, and you still think ECOWAS led by Nigeria has no business ensuring the rule of legitimate law in Niger, only shows your ignorance about regional stability.

If your answer is Yes, then obviously you have every reason to want Niger to be left alone, so that you can also demand that Nigeria be left alone once you get your wish.

Illegal and futile actions.

The military will not dictate for the country that already has a democratically elected and legitimate President.

Bazoum remain the President of Niger and he has not dissolved his cabinet.

The Minority Arab must complete his 5yr tenure as President.

Ignoramus, which 9 Governors lost re-election besides Oyetola of Osun and Matawale of Zamfara, while Atiku Bagudu and Simon Lalong lost their electionsto go to the Senate?

Besides those 4, which other of the Governors lost their re-election or election to the Senate?

Did Wike or el Rufai or Badaru Abubakar lose any election without even contesting for any?

Did Umahi who won Senate lose any election?

Which other recently exited Governor besides the 8 I mentioned was nominated for Minister for you to tally your number to 10?

I was not detained at Heathrow Airport, nor was I arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport. My name is not mentioned in Pandora Paper, and I did not take $5 million belonging to the government to deposit in a bank I have a majority interest in. I do not o dy IPOB's sit-ar-home, and I do not incite religious war in phone calls to influential clerics. My hands are clean.

You Obidients have never hidden the fact that you do not care about democracy.

You only wanted power at all cost, even if you had to seize the voters cards of your old parents who had a different impression on who was better suited to lead the country.

Your shameless fantasy about a military coup seizing power from President Tinubu, underscores your deceit about being a bird of reason.

The better tomorrow includes her own ambitions for a future 2nd term in office as DG of WTO.

She has come to terms that Tinubu is the President of Nigeria and would be the one pushing her candidacy just as Buhari did for her 1st term.

Let everyone go and meet the person they consider their own President, let us see who among them have presidential power like Tinubu.

If tinubu stole the election, from today your life will be grounded ,confused and hard with no helper until you leave the earth.

Tntsi:
Do you put your life and career on the line that tinubu won the 2023 presidential election? Answer yes or no. Drop story

I put my life on the line that tinubu lost the election.
Yes I can.

Give him zero votes in Rivers and add it to Obi, Tinubu still won.

Give Obi his delusional 1m votes he claims he won in Plateau that he could not prove at the tribunal, then give Tinubu zero in Plateau, Tinubu still won.

Your problem is that you are delusional about Obi.

Obi is a loser and his 6million votes would still be zeroed by the tribunal as an illegitimate candidate of the Labour Party that he was.

Tinubu finished 1st, Atiku 2nd, and Kwankwaso 3rd.

Obi is non-existent and he will learn that the integrity of the process starts with Party membership and Party primaries.

He will pay dearly for his lack of integrity and loyalty, and his desperate ticket hunting at the 11th hour will amount to zero.

Tinubu did not win kano, kaduna or kastina.
He lost lagos his adopted state.
He lost osun, his state of orgin.
He lost abuja.
He lost rivers. Even with all wike and yakubu abracadabra. The result says otherwise.

I put my life on the line that tinubu lost the 2023 election woefully.
I am not even sure he came second.
If you disagree, put your life on the line
You keep yapping like an illiterate.

Did Tinubu need to even win any state to have overall majority votes in a 4-way race?

Many of you are daft and are too proud to even learn.

As long as Tinubu dusted other candidates in the states he won, while finishing a strong 2nd place in almost every other state he lost to Atiku and Obi in the North, the outcome is what you had that made Tinubu your President today.
