5 TACTICAL TWEAKS JOSE PESEIRO MUST MAKE IN BLOCKBUSTER CLASH AGAINST IVORY COAST.

Sern test awaits Nigeria with familiar foes Cote d'Ivoire in their second group game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

In Europe they play under freezing conditions and dem no complain, when they come to Africa, they complain of the weather. Were they the first of their kind to play under hot sun?
I've played in the afternoon under a 40c weather on a hot astro-turf pitch for more than 2hrs non stop. No breaks( them too had break intervals)
Do what you love to do with no excuses.
Even people wey dey knack under hot humid room no dey complain.

The first goal was on iwobi and two defenders who couldn't react fast enough to clear the ball after a d opponents lost it

Iwobi is ready follow an opponent player from their 18yard toward the other side without initiating any tackle. He will be running with the player full strength till they enter our 18yard box and score against us. That's is one of his weaknesses.

We're all here praising Al-hassan, nobody is talking about the delayed pass he failed to give Iwobi to sloth on time before the EQG play took the ball off his feet in the 18yrd box.
He caused us one or two chances; the first he played a direct ball to the keeper, the 2nd he refused to release the ball on time to Iwobi. He should be smarter cos the game against CIV will be decided in the midfield against who has the best defense and the best keeper. Expect lots of shots at goal and build up from the middle.
After Iheancho, Iwobi is the next clinical player in the SE. He should be played up front close to the attackers not as a deep lying midfielder( that job should be left for onyeka)
Iwobi never loses such opportunities in the final third. Remember the AFCON game 2019 with Cameroun and his connection with Ighalo that earned us a spectacular goal.

They might not win but you'll surely see them in the Finals or 3rd place winner. Go check the stats, from year 2000 till date. Only the last AFCON we failed to make quarter finals.

Even today, if Jay Jay enter pitch my guy will still be giving those killer passes like he never left.
These crop of players should be watching matches of the legends what made SE great. Aghahowa nightmare of defenders( scoringin crucial matches), a rugged and pacy number 9 that never misses any opportunity.

I NEVER rated him as a player. All his game in SE is nothing to write home about.
All his useless passes, His predictable dribbling with no head way, His shots that usually bounce off players, His wide angle kicks that goes off target? Name them! That guy is useless as P in pussy.
If players like Noni Madueke or Carney Chukwuemeka were available all these retrogressive play would shove his ass to the bench.

Over reliance on a sole striker caused us this game. Why should the wingers be passing to a Striker all the time?
Why didn't Chukwueze shoot when he had the opportunity? And on that still gave a wrong pass to Osimhen!
This shows lack of confidence and this is the driving force Why they loose focus on the final third. Except for players like Lookman and Boniface who can't play SS to any Striker because they too aim for the goal also, you can call it selfish but it builds there confidence and this also makes them lead roles in their respective clubs. That's the reason why it's hard for them to partner Osimhen.
The coach should allow players to take opportunities if they are in the position to do so otherwise the opportunity will capitalize on your target and kill off that player with every opportunity.
