Congratulations on you Visa. I'm sure you've gotten your visa now and probably in Turkey. I have some few questions. 1: Did you travel to Abuja to submit the passport? If yes, did you get it immediately or it was sent? How long did it take to get to you in Lagos if you didn't get it immediately. 2 For the updated travel insurance, did you pay for another insurance? I thought we paid for this with voya? If you paid for another travel insurance, which did you use and how much? Thank you very much for your time. Iondale988: I submitted my passport at Voya visa Lagos on the 15th of August 2022 with $225 and 18,800 naira for courier of my passport. Dhl delivered my passport to me with a white paper that said my Visa application has been sent to Turkish authorities for examination, then yesterday i received an email from the Turkish embassy in Abuja that my visa has been approved, and I should come to the embassy with 1) Paid Flight ticket 2) Health insurance 3) My passport |

dumiel: Good morning to all seniors and to all ancestors. I am a newbie in this thread and I have been monitoring closely. Thank you all for the wealth of info in this thread. My real name is Bandit and I have decided alongside my family to join the bandwagon of relocation to Canada.
I have a simple question and I want to apologize if same has been asked before in this thread as I have searched everywhere and I couldn't find an answer. Please will NGN800m be enough to see me and my family through this whole journey?
Please, urgent and mature response needed as I need to make decisions fast. Thank you all as you advise accordingly.
Please don't air me and no insults. |

Funny enough, your first answer reminds me of a movie. "Fractured" quite a twisted movie. I'm actually trying not to think too much about my IELTS results slated for 20th. Overcacu wan dey worry me. Joy will abound! Josephhh: 1. You need to understand our mind is very powerful, its whatever you feed your mind, is what it naturally reflects, if you feed it with panic or negativity, you will surely be worried. Stay positive and pray, because there's nothing else you can do at the moment.
2. You no longer need to send your WAEC/NECO for ECA
Most importantly, you will still need to go back to page 1 every now and then, just to check out some guidance. I believe everyone here does that pretty often, so going to page 1 of this thread is not a curse, condemnation nor a big deal, its just a guidance page or manual for this journey. I wish you success in this journey but then you must be ready to read and make researches here. Enjoy! |

Congrats! Very interesting PPR story I really laughed out on this *Ori Iya mi o, temi bami o* Go and flourish! hayoakins: Jehova El-PR has done me well.
I
My preparation for the listening was a total disaster, when I googled listening module, all I saw was section A audio (usually a conversation between a prospective client and a representative), that was all I saw and thought Listening was all about. I was like, only this conversation? IELTS, you do die for my hand. Only to enter the hall and see multiple option questions, Ori Iya mi o, temi bami o. I was destabilized when I saw more than section A kind of questions, while still reading number 1 of the multiple option question, the audio was already in question 5, Aiye mi oooooooo. Owo wo gbo o.

Hey bro check your PM Austacus: Here’s my application Imm form (I included my bro that stays in Winnipeg...His home address and place of work in the imm form and his office role). Algonquin College Environmental management and assessment with a coop work permit I year program Pgd First-term tuition fee paid
Intl passport (no travel history) Statement of result (2:2) Transcript Date of birth certificate LOE Letterhead letter from my dad’s business. I told him to write I am “assisting in the family business” because I don’t have payslip or salary whatsoever as proof
Sponsor (father) CAC Sponsorship letter Account statements Fixed deposit Houses or Landed properties Marriage certificate (mom and dad) Family pics <me, mom, dad, godfather and godmother then one white oyinbo man (I was still a baby, we no get family pic for my pman house) PCC (Police character certificate) though it’s not mandatory for study visa please add it if you can.
My first application
The intellectual work started from the day I got my first Gcms notes
I ordered 3 Gcms notes.
The VO edit tire looking for every loophole to bring me down in my Gcms. My problem started with my sponsorship letter cause my dad made it straightforward. I didn’t know he has to state the amount he’s committing to my education. They even wanted to use work permit against me thinking I deliberately chose the course cause of the work requirement.
My dad fixed deposit put me in a big mess... dem no recognize that thing at all. I had to send my own account statement after my third Gcms note before I tackled first and second Gcms notes.
They also wanted to use travel history against me.
Last week I contacted about 150 MPs in Canada (I told myself even if nah one person answer me) About 15 responded back (with stories that you’re not a constituent in the riding blah blah blah) the MP is my school riding just do like person wey go help me, I fill a form and all, then after everything she withdraws from it with stories. Only 1 was helpful. He looked at my file and told me wassup. He told me what the VO wrote on my file with a biro. I don’t know how he did it though it took him two days to respond back to me. Nah there he stops to respond to me cause he said he can’t go deep on my file for privacy reasons. And he wishes me good luck. Such a nice man. Ahmed Hussein used one of the MP to get back to me. (Is response wasn’t helpful at all) Because the MP promised me that he going to talk to Ahmed Hussein on my behalf during their meeting... surprisingly this Ahmed Hussein tell the man he’s aware of my case that he got my message so so so date and time (they don’t joke with records) I can’t even remember the day I sent it to him but he was so accurate. He told his colleague (MP) stories to tell me. (normal immigration stories). The thing tire me. Then the MP wished me good luck.
Earlier this year I contacted an immigration lawyer in Canada (he said he can’t do anything until they refused my visa). They stored my names and all for records reason
They did a foss check on my brother in Winnipeg I would advise you guys not to mention your sibling or family member in Canada cause it can be used against you or slow your application
That's all I can say now. ( I did a lot of research in this Canada study visa) if I show you my PC and phone tabs, you will shake your head. Good luck to all the visa hopefuls.
Please to those that sent me a pm, I would be responding to only May, June and July buddies.
I also contacted one retired CIC VO in quora. He answered me but he's very very diplomatic. He didn't say anything that makes sense to me. e tire me
Thanks to Oga frank I haven't finished reading all your post since I joined the thread last year June. Thanks to my name sake Austinpee I am still reading lol
Another tip, if your sponsor has too many dependants, please reduce it in your affidavits of supports. And be careful while listing all your siblings in your imm form in case you omitted their names in dependants (affidavits if means of support) especially if they are still under your parent.
Bless you |

My journey started in 2016 when my husband's cousin told me about it but she advised me to use an agent. When i contacted an agent and he told me to bring 3000 dollars, i just knew there was no way my husband was gonna agree to that and he was also not ready to do any research so i just dashed myself brain and started researching on Nairaland straight.. knew i could get almost all the information i needed here. I wrote ielts twice and still didnt have 8 in listening so husband decided to be the primary applicant since he had more work experience than me anywayz. He wrote 4 times and kept having 6.5 in either reading or writing. I was so frustrated because i was pregnant and really wanted to have my baby abroad and husband had told me to either choose using our money to give birth in the US or to pursue the Canada immigration plan, i chose the latter because i thought i could give birth in Canada and the whole family still gets to become permanent residents but God was just doing Yimu for me i guess. Anywayz, our point was sitting at 411since last year and when the cutoff points were reducing last year, i was very hopeful that it would get to 411 and one of the most painful days of my life was when the draw was out that day and it was 413 ( this is because the draw was following a particular trend, reducing my 4 to 5 points). I cried that day enh, i couldnt just be strong any longer. To cut the long story short, i advised my husband to go through the provincial route and that was the beginning of another torture...... watch out for part 2 ( ghen ghen ghen ghen) heheheh |

Ifeoma77: Why complicate your application? Teaching is a perfectly acceptable NOC. Abeg use the most straightforward one. The NOC you use doesn't determine the job you'll do when you relocate and this biomedical situation sounds like a candidate for interview and long processing. Thank |

Hello everyone one!
Just been wondering how I'll go about the work experience? Finished service April 2016 and of course I taught! ( Who didn't?) While waiting to start my master, I took a teaching job right about September 2016(I was paid in my account) at the same time, I took an apprentice job in November which is actually biomedical consulting firm but I was not going to be paid, but anytime I get paid, it's always cash. Fast forward I started masters May 2017. I quit the Teaching job but I still get called up once in while to help out with some very important things. However, I went on a masters that will the corroborate the biomedical job I started. I still run errands for the company when they're short of hands or am around.
Here's the thing, I want to use the biomedical job as my experienc. But I'm thinking the cash inflow into my account would not suffice. I would want to know how efficiently do this. Will it need I write a LOE explaining... I need your advice |
