Wow... shitty situation
I think your proof of funds is the only thing under eligibility they might recheck before giving you final approval?

Have u been refused entry, deported before from a foreign country or had any issues both international and local, which your biometrics and police report may bring into light?

If no, that means you are good,
Also if your health is Ok, no tuberculosis , or anything serious that you spend so much on drugs for?

Answer these questions and also confirm that your proof of funds will still be intact and sufficient incase they revisit it.

If you are positive on the above, then I believe you should take the risk and register, as you have an excellent 90percent chance of getting final approval
I have some questions please,

Is there a confirmation by IRCC that POF will be rechecked during the second stage?

Also, When you talk about POF being intact and sufficient, do bank give the exact amount applicants have in their bank account to VOs?

Pls I need clarification from past PhD candidate here pls, I have a list of professors that I want to contact for supervision request against fall 2021 admissions, And I know that this is the best time to start however from my findings I realised I need to attach my transcript( Lautech and unilag ) to the mail, but I'm unable to get it as of now. Pls is it wise to start sending mail without the transcript and I'll appreciate any body that has contact that can help get the transcript on time
Not sure where you got your findings from but I can tell confidently that transcripts are not compulsory. In addition to your email, research on the Supervisor’s profile then draft and attach a very good research proposal based on his/her area of interest, that could be a plus. This worked for me.

I believe all we can do for now is keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best as usual. Few weeks ago we were all in the dark as to what was happening due to the long silence but now there seem to be some hope with this new process and we’ve began another round of rationalising.

Passing through stage 1 which includes a successfully verified POF and home ties isn’t an easy feat, applications have been rejected in the past based on issues from these.

To all those awaiting feedback, we also hope and pray for a positive news soon too. All the best.

Please how did u address them on the webform?
How do you mean? It was just a simple message mentioning when my school resumes and how I look forward to getting a feedback. I didn’t bother telling how long I had applied as I believed they had that info already. Starting with a simple ‘Hello’ is fine.

First stage Approval email dropped a few minutes ago.

Applied June 18th
Biometrics done and updated June 24th
No Medicals yet
Eligibility review and background check still running

Raised a webform to enquire about my application on Monday and get this good news today.

Ps: I’m not applying from Naija, reason why I have completed biometrics cheesy

Good morning guys.

After a delayed response , my supervisor finally sent me a letter with a breakdown of funding I’ll receive as a GTA. I would like to attach this document to my already submitted via the web form to strengthen my POF. Is this okay?

Hello team, pls how far does the VO go in verifying specific payment funds stated on the bank statement transactions?

An investment company that is supposed to refund capital is delaying. Will transferring the exact amount of money from another source, but stating that company name in the naration, fly? I'm wondering if the VO will go as far as verifying reference numbers/exact source of payment or if transfer narration is sufficient?

PS - payments have previously been received from this investment and there's a letter to confirm that they'll refund, attached to the application to IRCC
Is there no documentation to show this investment capital? If there is then in my opinion you should attach that to your documents for POF.

Pls i really need help here.

Please is their any University of Regina applicant on this thread.

My lecturers have submitted the reference document but it is yet to reflect on my application dashboard.

I don't know if they can forward the reference documents manually using their official mails.
Unfortunately, University of Regina always delay in updating the portal after a document is received, I experienced this with my transcript. Took about 2 weeks after transcript arrived for the update to show. I’ll say exercise some patience or send an email to the graduate admission team informing them. I don’t think there’s need to send the reference manually again.

@All That eventually had me mentioned.... One even said i went MUTE... when did NAIRALAND become A Job abi na here i go die put ?

What do you think kills people on the Mediterranean sea, Deserts? No, it is not the WATER, it is not The Rickety BOATS.
Guess what kills them ? Information that is available or given to them...
---Na there i pass go ...You will hear
---It is the easiest route , it is the shortest route , You no need documents .... Na so i take go!!!

In all no one will mention that you will be killed by chance, so you can make it to Europe like a motivation. In reality people actually make it to Europe but how many?

Most of the Moniker you see here don't exist, Most of them want mail request and Most of them are here to dupe you, come at me all you want.

One even said it is easier to gain admission to a US university than CANADA, ... Christ!!! Nigerians why?
The rigorous application process of a US university is like applying to 20 Universities in CANADA.

Some with a HND and a lower class getting funding? I will commit suicide if you upload your result that you used to apply for the school and the funding letter, Just upload it here and i will drink sniper, i will tell you a story.

There was a Nigerian guy who paid almost $18000 to get admitted to a school in the US(Name withheld) I swear he was on this page until he was exposed, ... He helped Nigerians just arriving the US to stay in his house and collected monies from them, advised them on her how he got a full scholarship with a 2.1 and how he can help people, but he had a problem with a Nigerian guy in the same school he was and didn't settle, the guy came here and exposed him..... He has been expelled, he is out of status and even wanted by police!!! The only person i will fear in this world is a Nigeria i meet outside Nigeria , until i am sure it is safe with him/her.

I went to a Chinese store abroad and this Nigerian guy walked in after a while and started speaking mandarin , but from his tone i knew he was from Naija, I beckoned on him and he didn't even reply me, after awhile one of the guys walked up to me and asked if i knew him? i said No ! He said the Naija Guy said " He should Cheat me" .... I was a whole sale shop without prices on the wards.

What am i saying, I can never believe a Nigerian Guys stories that is outside the shores of Nigeria, Freaking desperate people with over their head stories, many of them are out of status and going about looking for who to scam. Use your heads people it doesn't exist.

If you are here and you are sure you had a FULL FUNDING with a 2.2/lower class in an American University, I will pay you a $1000. This is my Email, lets sort it out, if i don't credit you, shame me here let the ADMIN get me rooted out. ..... Jekwuobinna@gmail.com.

FULL FUNDING MAIL and the 2.2/Lower Class Result , It doesn't Cost anything to do.
Chairman instead of you to take your L in peace and go and hibernate somewhere you still come around to spew more nonsense. Don't you even have some shame?

Yes it is True biometrics can be done in any country. The country am residing doesn't have VAC so I have to travel to other neighboring country for my biometrics. But the VAC in the country i came to is still closed, Even though the lockdown is lifted.
Same for me. I was lucky enough to have mine done outside my country of residence.

Thank you for pointing this out. I appreciate
The family forms I downloaded for that section had parents info different from sibling info. I guess I downloaded the wrong forms (IMM 5645 & 5707) then cos the only way to submit both will be to merge them. Pls which is the right form for that section cos it seems like only 1 form is required there
I do not think you need two forms. You only need the form IMM 5645 and it allows you to fill information about yourself, your spouse(if you have) and your parents (in Section A), your children (in Section B) and your siblings (in Section C).

Hi.. Is there a law that said we must submit the family form alone? Was thinking he can merge all family documents and pictures +IMM form and upload in this section to reduce the documents in Client section
There is no law but if you read the instruction under this document (when you click on the blue question mark), it specifically describes only the family information form. I believe if there was the need to add any other supporting family documents there it would have mentioned that. Again, this is just my opinion and it is not absolute.

Hello, please can one merge birth certificates of siblings with other documents in the Client information session or should it be with the imm family information form?
Merge with other docs in client info. Submit the family info imm form alone.

It depends on where you are applying from. If you are in Nigeria, you'll have to exercise some patience as the biometrics center is currently closed.

For online applications, is it okay to have my biometrics done at any VAC of my choice? The usual VAC used by people where I reside is currently closed due to Covid-19 but I also have easy access to another VAC in a different country that's currently opened.

I understand bro, maybe it varies. I got my request within 24hours, was a bit concerned too and had to check online to find out it was very normal.

Please waste no time again. You can apply for your visa with the conditional acceptance you received from the school. IRCC will not reject your application once you can demonstrate that the conditions stipulated on your acceptance letter can be met. I can barely count how many applicants I know that were successful with conditional acceptance letters. I don't see why you should be waiting until this moment before submitting your application.

I may also provide you with proofs so as to validate this information and quench your curiosity.

It will end in praise
Thanks Boss. I'll submit asap

The University of Regina is not difficult to get in, keep sending emails to them, master's admission process has also been radically affected due to the fact that all universities staffs are presently working remotely. Normally, admission doesn't exceed three (3) months in this school. You may also want to defer your admission to the winter term, 2021 that's if you have limited time to file for your study permit.

It will end in praise.
Thanks boss. Actually I have received a conditional acceptance and my transcript was pending. The transcript has been sent already and confirmed to be received for more than a week now. What has been left is just receiving my Unconditional Acceptance Letter to allow me begin my SP application. I'm just torn between continually emailing them or giving them time to sort things out themselves.

Anyone accepted to University of Regina here? I sent my transcript over weeks ago and they still haven't updated the portal even after confirming receipt and sending several reminder email. This is delaying my study permit application.

Please, I need help House,

I submitted my SP yesterday morning and the first thing I could see this morning as a confirmation of receipt of application carried my Express Entry Profile number Instead of Study Permit application number.

I have an EE I created last year June 19 that will expire this year June. I was not updating it again.

Please, do anybody had this experience? Or this is an error?

Why the EE number instead of SP number (Please, see attached)

Thanks much
I got this email today too and I haven't submitted my SP application yet. Infact I already withdrew my EE application some few days ago, so maybe it's an automatic email that is not related to your SP application.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by TimAke: 3:15pm On May 29, 2020
I currently have an running EE profile with no ITA at the moment and also at the process of submitting my SP application.

1. In filling the form I have answered 'No' when asked if I have previously applied to enter Canada, hope this is okay? (Since I haven't gotten an ITA)

2. Would you advise I keep my EE profile or withdraw it while making this application? I have tried my best to convince VO through my SOP that I'll be returning after my studies and I think having this EE profile still active kinda contradict that. How should I approach this?

How do one scan with phone?snap and upload on the scanning app?
It takes a photo of the document, you'll crop it however you want and the finish product looks like the usual digital scan. You'll need to download the app to see how it works.

Good morning

I recently got a PhD admission with a partial funding from the University for $5000 and I am trying to raise my POF since I am self-funded. The first year tuition fee estimates to roughly $8500 and with Living expenses set at $10,000. By the end of the month which i intend to submit my application I will be able to show a balance of about $21,000 (5k funding included)

Would this be enough to get my application approved, especially as there is not enough to show that I have funds for subsequent years (PhD is min 3 years). Mind you, my funding letter show that I may be eligible for other scholarships and my supervisor also mentioned that there will be Teaching Assistantship position but this will be when I arrive.
