fratermathy:Yeah, got that already. It took 3 business days. Delay was mainly because it was international courier. Used a cheaper option to send it and it took about a week to arrive. 1 Like |

Okay here we go First off, I appreciate everyone on here who give their time and effort to assist and painstakingly answer questions. Special shout out to Frankrobbin and fratermathy for some crucial answers they gave to my doubts that spurred me to take key actions at critical points. At last PPR in the mail. Please find details below: Timeline Date Applied: June 18 Biometrics Request: June 19 Biometrics Given: June 24 AIP: August 11 Upfront Medical: August 26 Medical Updated Passed: September 24 BVL/Correspondence Letter: October 15 Passport Request (PPR): October 17 Documents Submitted All necessary IMM forms Letter of Acceptance MSc degree certificate and transcript BSc degree certificate and transcript Copies of travel stamps, visas and conference certificates to show travel history. Letter of Introduction All documents arranged and merged in one pdf Letter of EE pool withdrawal (been in the pool for ages with no hope anyways lol) Statement of Purpose: I detailed my education and professional background linked it as much as I could to my programme. I will be researching on public service digitalization, so had to talk about my passion for a digitalized public service and how I was coming back to Naija to help with this. Home Ties: I have nothing yet in Naija except my family, so had to build on that, let them know my mum was widowed and I am the oldest so I definitely had to come back for them. Added my naija pension fund statement too. Proof of Fund: I was self-sponsored with savings equivalent to about N5m. Showed bank statement. University Funding Letter of 10k CAD Pension statement Letter from my supervisor explaining I would have a TA position and stated the monthly pay. Not sure if I covered everything but feel free to mention of you need some clarification or questions. For everyone still waiting, I believe the coming week will come with lots of news like mine especially as October 20 is here already. For those who have been rejected, please keep the hope, keep asking questions and do the right thing. It will work out in the end. Peace 25 Likes 1 Share |

Chocs:Hey Chocs, that is the usual message on everyone's GC account before a medical request drops, no? Yes, I have been a resident here for 3 years now and others before me who had left from here had medicals done too. Maybe she/he can tell if there was need for medical examination at the point of application. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by TimAke: 5:18am On Oct 03, 2020 |
Chocs:You might want to reconfirm that. I applied from a country that is "No" on that list but still needed to do medicals. Another question to be asked is When he started his application did the information he provided later generate a response that he needs to take a medical exam. |

Natase:Try doing an upfront medical. You've got AIP already, you have nothing to lose really. I was in this same position but then I did an upfront medical examination and my medical status has been updated as passed. |

Again I see the usual topic of AIP as a trick Vs progress has risen again. All I’ll say is nobody is 100% sure of the outcome and that’s is understandable because non of us work with IRCC. We can only continue to reason things out and advise based on what we think the outcome might be. So no one should claim absolute knowledge about this thing. If I remember clearly, someone dropped their gcms note received after AIP and these gave people some hope, now this guy’s refusal after AIP (mind you, no gcms note yet to really point out what the issue was) has got us back to arguments. Also, please, everyone has the right to their own thinking, opinions and decision and to flat out rain insults on them because they are not in line with our thinking is very unfortunate. Let’s apply wisdom and keep the love. 3 Likes |

New to this thread and asking for a friend. Is it okay to use a business account owned by the dad in which he is the sole signatory. If yes are there any other supporting documents that would be required? Thanks in advance. |

olasubomy:Yes you can apply with a conditional letter of admission. You can always submit the unconditional letter via a webform if you get it before a decision has been made. |

fratermathy:Totally agree with this. I received a reply to my email by the VAC handling my case informing me I had past the first stage when I inquired about the progress of my application, this was about 7weeks into my application. AIP letter arrived from IRCC 4 days after VAC response. |

librangyps: I have some questions please, Is there a confirmation by IRCC that POF will be rechecked during the second stage? Also, When you talk about POF being intact and sufficient, do bank give the exact amount applicants have in their bank account to VOs? |
