The victories actually aren't the same. Iceland was a competitive European team that proved their class by going to the quarterfinals of Euro 2016 and muscling through Euro qualification (they defeated Croatia) and played well in the 1-1 draw with the Argentines. South Korea represents the drastic gulf of talent and competitiveness that exists in international female football. A win against the Koreans isn't anything to brag about.
In as much as I agree with you that the girls were not fantastic, nevertheless, don't downplay their victory by trying to say that South Korea is not a force to reckon with in female football.

South Korea is 14th in the women Fifa ranking, Nigeria is 38th. So yes, the win today is similar to the Men's win against Iceland in the World cup.

Same shambolic display by the men, cos Iceland was the better side that day, but the individual brilliance and the fact that we took our only chance that came won us the game, Same with the girls game today.

Iceland had chances including a penalty but failed to score , Same with South Korea.

so the two performance are similar

God bless you my brother for reminding me

If there is any overhyped player in the Epl it is Declan rice ,English medi and hyping no be here
As in , sometimes I will just sit down and imagine if Chukwueze was English. They will probably be comparing him with Mbappe by now, making the boy that still needs to work hard to think that he has arrived.

That is how the useless media were comparing Rashford with Mbappe. Mbappe that is miles ahead of Rashford o. Now the mumu niwon thinks he's the best striker even that man utd coach is now benching a proven striker like Lukaku for him.

Lukaku that scores minimum of 20goals per season even while at Everton.

I just SMH sometimes for British media people

Yes Ndidi is better than him

But why do you call him overhyped ?

I guess you don't know the meaning of overhyped because you used it wrongly

If there is any DM overhyped in the Epl gueye is the least person

So because Ndidi make headline pass am means say the guy no sabi according to you ?i wonder how you dey Judge your own ball ,I guess you have never watch him play self

It's just like saying Mohammed salah makes the headline more than son and because of that son is an overhyped player

Smh
Yea both Ndidi and Gueye should be getting all the hype though

Funny how Declan Rice is not even half as good as any of the two but that mumu gets hyped as if he's the next Sergio Busquets . No wonder English players always underperform when it matters , cos most of them aren't half as good as good as Brazilian players playing for Native Brazilian clubs of Santos or Corinthians. but their media will not let us hear word about them

I hope you know that the super eagles pass better in good pitches. You can see our games in Uyo and on better pitches.

Our game has been horrible on that Asaba potato pitch. Even our Seychelles game, we struggled to string passes together due to the bumpiness of the pitch

Sleep and death baba..... sleep and death. Iwobi at least has the right system he plays in. He plays in a team that is fluid in passing. His only enemies are the arsenal fans who always want somebody to blame and find that the easiest target is Iwobi. Heck they even blame him for games they lost even though he wasnt even dressed.

Narrowing it home to Iheanacho, i never said he didnt lose form... but how did he get there? We all werent born with the same resilience. Some people take heartbreaks easy, others never recover from heartbreaks. At the end of it all, we are still all human beings. If yall have time, please watch a movie titled "full metal Jacket"..... Orí bíbé kó ni òògun orí fífó!

My position on Iheanacho is very simple, he got himself into this mess for whatever reason ranging from alleged british passport to actually signing for a team that will never develop him, let alone bring out the best in him. He therefore needs to get himself out and go to another country or another attacking team. I dont know Brendan Rodgers enough to trust him but time will tell. If he believes Leicester is the place to be, then he has to be prepared to do what he has never done before.
You were just beating about the bush.

You ended up saying nothing about how Nacho's experiences affected his form.

In summary, you said nothing

As tough as Iheanacho's experiences may have been he has never had it as Iwobi

Sometimes I marvel at the mental strength of the guy to keep on going despite what Arsenal fans have put him through
Iheanacho ass lickers are just as pathetic as it can get.

Iheanacho doesn't even get lampooned by Leicester fans every week, the way Arsenal Fans make a scape goat out of Iwobi any time the team lose a game. Yet the guy keeps improving and proving them wrong every week.

If Nacho can't handle criticism in football, cos he will always get one, he should probably look for another profession

Your sarcasm is stale. Why must we keep doing something that has not paid us ? Iwobi is not an attacking midfielder , Mikel is not an attacking and they cant bring anything new. If super eagles do well at the nations cup it wont be because of the creative abilities of Mikel and Iwobi.
So an attacking midfield of Simon Moses is what will now pay us.

But wait has Alex Iwobi been convincing as a winger? But we still gave him the chance. You can feel a certain type of way but no need to insult the guy.
You see that is where u are wrong.

Iwobi got into the National team as a Midfielder not even as a winger in the first place, during Arsene wenger's era. He only started playing in the wings under their new coach in this just concluded season.

So what's your point?

Crazy people just full here, walahi.

They even had to down play Iwobi's midfield role in the team, just to push their useless agenda.

May be because they are already seeing the handwriting on the wall , that the guy won't get to play in the Afcon due to the fact that we now have a lot of options in the wing, his handlers are now looking to push him into the midfield role.

Very pathetic

These are the attributes of Harzard and he is an AMF/Winger.
If you're trying to say Hazard is selfish, well I agree, and he's selfish with good end product. And more so, being selfish is relative, cos Hazard has his goals and high number of assist to show for it. What does Simon have to show for his selfishness, nothing, except for wastefulness.

And second point, if you are trying to say that Hazard can't cross the ball, then you are a joker that needs not to be taken seriously.

Lastly Hazard is a true and true winger, not AMF. He has never at any point played as an AMF.

the only position I know he has played is the False 9 position, which he played sometimes under Chelsea former coach, Conte

thanks bro...it Is obvious that many of us here are still conversant with the traditional role of an AM...

same way I laugh when some said Victor Moses should be played in the AM role then...
a player who barely release ball and not so good in giving killer passes.

Iwobi should be played as AM and Mikel CM he is the pirlo of the team and good in long range passes like the one given to ighalo against Cameroon.... while nacho can come in for iwobi always and Etebo for Mikel...and as for Ogu only God knows why he is in the team....

because I will take Semi Ajayi over him any day any time.....
They think AMF role is about gra gra and running aimlessly.

They want people that can't even cross accurately and are very selfish on the ball to come and play attacking midfield role. People that'll rather dribble into a tight corner instead of releasing passes to a striker Making a fine run, thereby messing up the run of play.

May be they think the role is only about aimless running and dribbling though. grin

Simon Moses excelled as a wing forward in training. Until they play him as a AM I think he will never achieve his full potentials. Simon Moses is not a traditional winger , I think he was born to play in the middle due to his ability to operate in small spaces, energy and discipline....Everything Iwobi lacks!
By energy , you mean gra gra grin

Playing as an attacking Midfielder is much more than muscling your way in the midfield, it is about vision and pin point defence splitting passes.

If it is about the muscle and energy, people like Christen Eriksen, Dele Ali, Modric, Toni Kroos, that are known to be light weight and will not even thrive in the position.

Infact, that energy of his, is only needed in the wings to muscle and dribble, and it can be used in the middle as a defensive midfielder.

you want to deligate an Attacking midfield job to someone that can't even make accurate crosses most of the times.

Attacking midfield job that is not about sideways passing or your regular passing, it involves intelligent passing, that is different from the regular one.

A defence splitting passes is an attribute of an AM. Iwobi might not be the best Midfielder in the world, but he's intelligent with his passes. Even when he plays as a winger for Arsenal , the way he split defences with his passes even as a winger will make you just marvel.

Most of you pick on the guy whenever he has a bad game at Arsenal, which you all know is mostly not his fault, but people has made it into an habit to use him as a scape goat most of the time.

The Afcon qualifiers we played, Iwobi created more chances than any other midfielder during the qualifier, he was the reason we never missed Mikel in the creativity aspect during the qualifier, and I'm sure Mikel himself knows that he will probably have to be in top of his game if he doesn't want Iwobi to take his AM role in the competition, cos I don't see Rohr using him in the wings any time soon.

In conclusion, being an attacking Midfielder is much more than running aimlessly and muscling your way in the midfield. If you doubt me, ask Etebo. He was the person that we thought that will play our AMF after Mikel, but it is obvious the guy still needs to sort out his final passes. He only has strength and pace, that is why he was relegated to the central Midfield position

I've not been following the women folk closely but if Norway are as strong as I know them to be, it may be an obliteration. I know Norway as one of the strongest female teams around, at a time they must have been the best. However, maybe the Falcons have been improved. Maybe.
Bros calm down. Norway are now average at best now and are very beatable by Nigeria.

Norway are not what they used to be again, they now rely on past glory as a former world champion. The teams to beat in this competition are France, USA and England. Any team outside this three is beatable if we keep our heads down and not panick. I'm still rooting for the falcons to make second round though, even if they qualify as best looser

City is the new kid on the block. Pumped money into their team and are getting result, but I won't put them among the elite yet.

I said both City and Arsenal are currently better.

Yes u are right but Huawei's case is beyond Money, go and read about Five Eyes countries and their dependence on America's telecom technology and the effect of 5G.

If China is able to break that dependence through 5G, that means America's influence will start to dwindle especially 5G that is regarded as the new electricity. It is just like Turkey and S/400, once you taste it, u will continue to want more and you are moving away from the dependence and aliance.
The strength of America is not just her millitary, (no matter how powerful your millitary is, u can't defeat the whole world ask Hitler about that ) the true strength are the allies and friends who depends on America for so many things and are ready to defend America no matter the situation. Another means China wants to use to break traditional American allies dependence on America is OBOR which is giving America serious challenge to stop, recently Italy has join and it is sure in 10 years time Germany and France may join, once that happens those countries already have vested interest in China and will be very soft to China the way they are to America today, the next Chinese target will be $ hegemony which is the fabric of America's economy.
As per the dollar hegemony part, I think the Chinese have started work on that. The first phase might be the currency swap deal with Nigeria, in which you don't need to have dollars before trading with them, just swap your currency with their Chinese Yuan
