Oasis007: Dean Henderson asked if he spoke to Erik ten Hag before going out on loan: "No. I didn't really want the manager to come in and be able to see me in training because I knew he'd probably want to keep me." Smart thinking to be fair. If the new manager watch him train, he'll probably want to convince him to stay and my guy is confident in himself to be a starter and not a bench warmer to a Spanish goalkeeper that doesn't know the basics of goalkeeping. So he saved himself all the trouble before it started. On a side note, I feel if he had stayed, Ten hag would have made him his 1st choice. |

hatakekakashi: You're just being overly emotional, there's no coach in any universe that will bench fit Ronaldo for inconsistent Martial.
ETH should do what he thinks is best sha. But "what if" Martial kicks off the season very well and starts scoring, Coupled with the fact that he's a good CF in terms of overall link up play in Ten Hag's system, dropping him will be hard o Anyways, based on History, Martial doesn't do well when someone is breathing down his neck as his competition for position. So my prediction will likely not come to pass But if by some stroke of luck or miracle it happens, Ten Hag won't drop him for Ronaldo. |

TheLoneCitizen: You can't have this kind of leap and be poor at heading.
From the little I've seen of him, he just avoids it.
Against Liverpool, Haaland had an opportunity where he should have headed a great cross but he instead went for his leg.
13th sec of the video below. https://mobile.twitter.com/search?q=Haaland%20video&src=typed_query&f=top
Some footballers are aware of the dangers of heading, so they limit it except when necessary. Especially since he has a football father.
Dessers and Iwobi are two of such players who I watch alot. You're just making excuse for him at this point. |

kizolo: United should probably just allow those contracts to run down then offer them a reduced contract. If they reject then let them go for free. Players no dey finish If they had half a sense, this is what they should do for the guys on big wages like Rashford, shaw, Martial and co. Offer them reduced wages with a lot of performance related bonus attached. Such that if man Utd ended up paying them big salaries, it means they've performed well and won the club trophies. |

Searchingvictor: Man utd usually find it hard to sell some academy players. I don't know why. That was how Lingard was till he became a free players, they ought to have cash out on him since but..... wrong? Most of these guys are easy to sell, but the club unnecessarily hold on to them because of academy nostalgia and DNA bullshit. Lingard was a potential 15m revenue last year but for some idiotic reason, they refuse to sell to westham. Let them put Rashford on the transfer list today, I can assure you that the club will get at least 30m off him from those mid table EPL teams like Fulham, Newcastle etc, even with 1 year left on his contract. Put Elanga on the transfer list, and even those German clubs will bid good amount for him. The club just doesn't sell them like Chelsea and Arsenal does on a regular. It's those academy sales that helps the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal to reduce their net spend |

This season No stadium in the EPL has that kind of pitch. Even during winter. None. Not even Championship teams have those kind of bad pitches. So calm down. You only see those during FA and Carabao cup games against League 1 and 2 teams. And only during winter because only few teams in league 1 and 2 has pitch with underground heating, due to the fact that it's not mandatory for them compared to Championship and EPL |

melodyogonna: I believe the reason we didn't win anything under Ole wasn't because he wasn't a good manager or because the team wasn't good enough. I think the reason is because Ole doesn't know how to impose a strong winning mentality into his team, the mentality is also as important as the footballing ability. If Mourinho was the one incharge and brought United close to all those cup trophies he would have won at least 2. Not necessarily. He just always chocked with his tactics at those clutch moments. Coupled with some players having Brain farts too at those pressure moments Ole played so many semi finals, it was a Miracle he never won us a trophy. Even worse coaches with less ability than him will manage to turn those semifinals into at least one trophy. Ole wasn't only clueless, he was sort of cursed too. Because it wasn't ordinary |

afrodoc2: It is unfortunate. Iqbal and Savage understand the role of central midfielders so much more than McFred it is unreal. Then the gulf in technical ability is shocking. McTominay is definitely using quota system cos there is no way he is a ten Hag style midfielder. I wasn't even really excited with the academy performance in the 2nd half cos that 1st half midfield performance was still hurting me in the soul.
If we start McFred we will surely lose out on top 4. Those academy boys are however not ready for EPL level challenge so we need to add 1 or 2 midfielders as a matter of urgency. If not we will be back here in December with another interim manager as it is our usual tradition. Mctominay is even more surprising. Cos in the Scottish national team, they don't even rate him as a midfielder, they just relegated him to defense, and only gets to play whenever they play a back 3, just to tell you how bad it is. No wonder Ten hag is standing on their neck to get him De Jong by fire by force. Ten Hag might be a good coach but he himself knows that he's not a magician and can't turn some players into Pirlo |

ChristoBam: Who is the individual ?
A well run club will sell one of the two. Yep, someone f,cked up the press, which caused a domino effect of the thing falling apart leading to the goal. I suspect it was shaw. But it's good that Ten Hag is not hanging the player out to dry. It's just pre season, mistakes are allowed. Hopefully the person learns from it. Pressing is a very delicate thing, an overzealous pressing from a player or a lack of commitment to the pressing by another player can easily f*CK it up. Look at Robertson overzealous pressing in the UCL final costing Liverpool. The worst part is that the fool choose to press one of the most press resistant players in the world. |

The golden generation of la masia players, I mean the Messi generation is a rare class. Hardly would you see 80% of a team filled with its academy graduates.
Its rarely happens. However, we allowed the la masia glory get into our heads and believe we'll keep churning out world class players to fill up the team, with little reliance on purchase of external world class players. Messi's La Masia set at Barca is similar to Man United academy class of 1992. Both clubs Revere those two generations and try to replicate it several times over the years but it's just not working. The management of both clubs forget that such things is an outlier and not the norm. It only happens once in a century and by pure chance and luck. |

France's own is terrible, when you see their team, una go think say na African team, yet the black players who were stars while playing just don't get the opportunities, same for the Dutch. It's really pathetic in France and Netherlands. As for Tammy Abraham, I'm still insistent that we don't need him last season in terms of upgrade. Hopefully, we get a better striker for our first team Realistically, any upgrade on a striker like Tammy will be players in the class of Halaand, Lewandowski, Kane, (the old Inter Milan Lukaku) The likes of Nunez, Tammy, Osimhen Vlahovic are all in the same rank presently with the same levels of potential. So I don't know how you guys will find someone better than him that will not be Halaand or Lewandowski Chelsea got rid of him because they thought they were getting an inter Milan goal machine in Lukaku, but the dickhead disappointed them with his tantrums |

But it's Spurs, they are a small club, and one thing I've noticed recently is that these small and mid table clubs exchange players among themselves at cut prices. Everton can sell Richarlison to westham or Spurs or even Leicester for 40-50m, but let any one of the big guys in the league mistakenly table a bid, those f*ckers will bump up the price to a range of 70-80m It's a trend I've noticed recently.
