They were buying Pickford,Keane and sigurdsson 50m each that's 150m on 3 players
I think richarlison is around 50m too, Allan 30m, dacoure around 50m iwobi 30m
Na them kill themselves by their selves, apart from richarlison and dacoure they spent heavily on average players
To be fair to Everton, those are the kind of players they can attract.

For them to attract better players, they will have to spend more

Not even because of our owner Roman, but because a lot of people are backing him up.

From fans, pundits to former Chelsea players.

When people back you up, you become more comfortable doing your rubbish. That’s how Ole destroyed ManU.

Bottling important big games you’re expected to win. UCL win still dey blind una, una eyes go open soon.
@Bolded

You're wrong. Roman doesn't give a f*CK if fans likes him or worship Tuchel as a god. Roman will sack him once he starts f*cking up.

Tuchel is currently relaxed because Riman is currently out if the picture, and the new owners won't sack him at least for another year or so during the ownership transition, except theirs a major crash in form.

UCL  for the top 10 since 2012: 3

UCL  for Real Madrid since 2012: 4
To be fair, like half, of the guys that won those UCL were bought by Madrid before 2012/2013.

And those key players had unreal longevity at the club that the club didn't need any major buys to compete. Just few cheap additions like Kroos, Casemiro, Varane etc who all cost less than 30m to 50m each . Not forgetting selling some of their players for big profits e.g Di maria, Mesut Ozil, etc for at least 60m each , to balance the books for those purchases during those periods.

Perez is a good administrator. Damn!!

Due to the nature of our owners these struggles are actually welcome.

If we had gotten an interim manager that somehow got us Top 4 or made the team look good they would have approached appointing the new manager the way they approached appointing Ole.

They would have gone to the negotiation table with pride and rejected ten Hag and gotten a yes man. It was their new found humility borne of the current predicament that allowed them to allegedly acquiesce to ten Hag's demands during the protracted discussions.

Now that everything is shown to be rotten they appear to be ready to make significant changes. I appreciate Rangnick's role in telling them the real

Lol, this is very key for commercial purposes. We just need one or two of such players though.
Tbf, there's nothing wrong in signing one or two players with commercial appeal. But it only becomes bad when the club based their transfer policy on commercial appeal only.

The club can always budget some money for those big commercial signing once every three seasons. But it must not distrupt or affect the real transfer targets that the coach wants.

For instance, Pogba being offered a new contract for his commercial appeal should not have any effect in the club signing a midfielder that the coach wants for his system even if Pogba can't play that system. That way, the coach wins, the club management also wins.

Which is why I have always said most of the blame belongs to the board. People point to the amount of money spent but most of it was spent recklessly.
Confirm

The money is always there. The club has just spent it recklessly and stupidly.

With the kind of transfer budget a club like man Utd has access to, if they employ the right footballing people making the best decisions ( without Joel glazer overruling some of the football decisions because of commercial bullshit) , the club will be competing again in 2 to 3 transfer windows, which is equivalent to a minimum of at least 1 season.

All this talk of giving a coach 3 seasons is just nonsense, and this was caused by Ole and his fan boys because they wanted to defend his incompetence, so they decided to lower the standard of the club all together.

We sacked Moyes after few months, Sacked van gaal despite wining a trophy, sane with Mourinho despite winning 2 trophies in his first season. , miraculously when it got to Ole's turn , we started giving him time that he didn't deserve or earn just because he had people in the media defending his mediocrity.

Hopefully, the standard is back and we can sack Ten haag too if he doesn't meet expectation

There are only two ways a mighty king will fall from grace, lose his kingdom and his life as well.
Either by dying of old age or succumbing to terminal disease, be he an all conquering emperor or a lion in the jungle that no other beast dares.

First it was the age of the mighty naval battleships that met their waterloo in World war 2.... the great German 'Bismarck' and 'Tirpitz' and the mightiest of all, the infamous Japanese colossus, 'Yamato' and her sister 'Musashi', monsters that could pound cities into submission from tens of miles away but ultimately fell to the gnats of dive bombers, torpedo bombers and air mounted cannon fire. By the close of the war even the victorious allies knew their time was up and decommissioned their lots.

Today we are seeing the beginning of the end of the reign of several kings the theater in Ukraine is offering the world of conflict and the industry of armament. A theater that has not been seen since the Second World war for all the conflicts ever since whether America's in Vietnam, The USSR's in Afghanistan, Great Britain's in the Faklands or the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan had been conflicts of i
unequals where the lambs challenged the lions to wrestle.

The conflict in Ukraine is one of equals, where capabilities, technologies and resources are more evenly matched and this has exposed the great lions of armament and the great emperors of battlefield technologies as aging and dying of the pestilence of micro and nano technology, artificial intelligence, drones and robotics.

As observed from the first few weeks of this conflict, the first king to abdicate his throne is the mighty battle field tank. The sheer number of million dollar, hitherto 'feared' tanks, AFV's and troop carriers lost in this conflict to 'pocket' devices is just alarming. In those days a soldier in a tank felt safe and ruled the battlefield like a lion the jungle. These days a soldier is safer miles away from any tank..... any tank none of which offers any protection from even the crudest of shoulder launched anti-tank weapons that number in tens of thousands and can be bought literally off the shelf.

Little wonder even the famed US Marine Corps is gradually retiring its tanks even though over 95 percent of the famed M1A1/A2's are still alive and kicking being hyped as indestructible. Wiser heads know better. The king is dying.

Second are the monstrous hulks roaming the high seas, the whales and sharks of the naval superpowers. This week has shown that even cruisers (which are supposed to be the kings of sea self defence can be tackled by a swarm of ebola like drones and taken out bya right hook from behind....

I am sure the United States, the UK, China and France to a lesser degree is watching very. very keenly and wondering if their mighty aircraft carriers they spend tens of billions building and equipping are worth anything when up against not Gaddafi's, Saddam's or Al-Assad's military but one that can actually shoot back....

The king is dead.
God bless you for this. What's happening to Russia in Ukraine van easily happen to US too , if they fight against real military and not terrorist cells. Their aircraft carrier is now vulnerable, Tanks will become useless due to the invention of MAN pads javelin in mordern warfare. So I'm sure they are watching and will make necessary adjustment, so will Russia after the war.

So, is it Russia that has faced a country with sophisticated weapons?

Of the 3 arms of the Russian military, their Navy is the weakest. Most of their vessels are old Soviet era warships.
@Bolded.

Fair enough. you're right about their navy.

But tbf to Russia, their military doctrine is majorly defensive and not to project power. They have the military and technical expertise for a mordern navy, but they are not interested. The few warships they have are heavily concentrated for defense of their territorial waters in the Baltic sea and Black sea including their submarines.

So because of the military doctrine that doesn't project power, having multiple warships and Aircraft carriers will be useless. That is why they only have Missiles and fighter jet. All their military R& D is directed majorly toward making faster and deadlier missiles and fighter jets .

Honestly, The way Russia military is structured, they are not even a threat, as regards to world domination. I don't know why USA can't leave Russia's corner of the world(Eastern Europe) to them and stop threatening their security.

The country with the ambition of world domination is China, and strangely, Europe , USA and the likes are not even doing anything about China. The last president that tried to do something about it got shamed out of office. It seems the Chinese has bought the Democratic party.

China's Policies, both economic and Military points to that direction of world domination.

In the economic policies of china, they have the belt and road initiative, currency swap deal for Yuan with a lot of countries.

In their military, China bought an old Soviet Era Aircraft carrier from Russia, as well as old decommissioned Aircraft carriers from the British for studying, they reversed engineered it and built their own first Aircraft carrier. Now they are currently building 2 additional aircraft carriers simultaneously and could be ready in 5 years time. In the next 10 years, we could be having a Chinese military with at least 5 Aircraft carriers.

Now tell me what a country want to use that amount of Aircraft carriers to do, if not to project power, just like the USA presently does with its 11 carriers.

By the time the idiots at Washington wake up to the Chinese reality, it could be too late. But it's Russia who just want to be left alone at their own corner of the continent that they see as a threat.

Let them continue grin

The last time I checked, United States hasn't faced a country with sophisticated and updated missiles in war in the last 2 decade before. Let them face an enemy with lot of logistical and sophisticated weapons support, then you will know that all those US ships with fancy names are also not indestructible.

It's easy to bring in young players when you are in control of a game. It will help ease the pressure on the said player.

Shebi Canada just played a friendly competition in England in February against Germany, England and Spain. Where were the youngsters then. I bet they didn't play because they played tougher oppositions where they aren't in control of the games most of the time.

It's easy for our coach to play the younger players or even some of our U20 girls like Demehin and co against a lesser opposition, especially when we play African teams, because we will have more control and the players will still show their talents with less pressure without having to be chasing the ball up and down for 90 minutes

I'm still surprised that people are yet to understand that Oshimen was one the reason we lost out, beside the clueless, uninspiring coach.

If Oshimen was cool head and not trying to do too much and playing to the gallery, he would have gotten one or two goals in those matches.

But he wanted to do it all alone !

If our coach was smart enough, he shouldn't have started Oshimen bcs he had been planned for by the Ghanians , he would have taken them by surprise.

Many of you are yet to understand that Oshimen was one of the reasons we lost to CAR in Lagos.

Early in the game, Oshimen was played through on goal outside the box, I had expected him to run into the box before taking the shot have beaten their last defender with speed. An experience player would know that anything that'll make that defender to him would be a straight red card and penality, but Oshimen decided to take a long shot out the box that went wide, and that was what would have changed that game entirely.

Oshimen is a good player no doubt, but he needs to learn how to be cool headed, football no be by gragra na tactics !
This is the kind of nonsense opinion those NFF members and super eagles ex players were giving last year that pressured NFF to sack Rohr for Eguavoen despite doing nothing wrong, just because they wanted to sound like good pundits.

Good response though . . . about Russia not colonizing Africa, Russia couldn't, because they didn't have the military might to.

Russia colonized/took territories via expansionism ( same thing Russia is still trying to do today in Ukraine, Georgia, etc ), Russia wasn't just strong enough to take and hold distant territories at the time, that's why they lost Alaska, parts of California, Haiti, e.t.c., and Sagallo (a city in present day Djibouti in northeast Africa).

Wrong.

A small country like Germany had the military for colonialism in Africa and you're telling me that USSR/Russia didn't?

You do know that Germany had a lot of territories in Africa , even more than France at some point but it got taken away from them after they lost Ww1 and it fit shared by Britain and fRance as spoils of war.

Russia don't do Colonialism because it has never been part of their military doctrine right from day 1 and not because it doesn't have the military to do so.
