50d33q:To be fair to Everton, those are the kind of players they can attract. For them to attract better players, they will have to spend more |
donstan18:@Bolded You're wrong. Roman doesn't give a f*CK if fans likes him or worship Tuchel as a god. Roman will sack him once he starts f*cking up. Tuchel is currently relaxed because Riman is currently out if the picture, and the new owners won't sack him at least for another year or so during the ownership transition, except theirs a major crash in form. |
Devvy4:To be fair, like half, of the guys that won those UCL were bought by Madrid before 2012/2013. And those key players had unreal longevity at the club that the club didn't need any major buys to compete. Just few cheap additions like Kroos, Casemiro, Varane etc who all cost less than 30m to 50m each . Not forgetting selling some of their players for big profits e.g Di maria, Mesut Ozil, etc for at least 60m each , to balance the books for those purchases during those periods. Perez is a good administrator. Damn!! |
afrodoc2:In other words, sometimes the only way forward is to go backwards, so as to move forward. May be this is what Ralfs tenure has done to the club. |
nitrogen:Tbf, there's nothing wrong in signing one or two players with commercial appeal. But it only becomes bad when the club based their transfer policy on commercial appeal only. The club can always budget some money for those big commercial signing once every three seasons. But it must not distrupt or affect the real transfer targets that the coach wants. For instance, Pogba being offered a new contract for his commercial appeal should not have any effect in the club signing a midfielder that the coach wants for his system even if Pogba can't play that system. That way, the coach wins, the club management also wins. |
afrodoc2:Confirm The money is always there. The club has just spent it recklessly and stupidly. With the kind of transfer budget a club like man Utd has access to, if they employ the right footballing people making the best decisions ( without Joel glazer overruling some of the football decisions because of commercial bullshit) , the club will be competing again in 2 to 3 transfer windows, which is equivalent to a minimum of at least 1 season. All this talk of giving a coach 3 seasons is just nonsense, and this was caused by Ole and his fan boys because they wanted to defend his incompetence, so they decided to lower the standard of the club all together. We sacked Moyes after few months, Sacked van gaal despite wining a trophy, sane with Mourinho despite winning 2 trophies in his first season. , miraculously when it got to Ole's turn , we started giving him time that he didn't deserve or earn just because he had people in the media defending his mediocrity. Hopefully, the standard is back and we can sack Ten haag too if he doesn't meet expectation |
Ibime:His last born, Alena that has a curly hair that looks like Afro, was born by Georgina via natural birth. This one is his second , and it was twins, he only lost one if the twin(boy) during birth |
Bifwoli:Ukraine was the factory of the USSR. , just like china is currently the factory of the world today. Apple builds all it's iphone in a Chinese factory in china, it doesn't mean that China is the owner of iphone just because it was made there. it doesn't mean that whatever was built by Ukraine was owned by then. All the USSR strategic military productions were done in Ukraine then. Ukraine to USSR is like Lagos to Nigeria. It's were mist companies sure their factories and headquarters. |
Reference:God bless you for this. What's happening to Russia in Ukraine van easily happen to US too , if they fight against real military and not terrorist cells. Their aircraft carrier is now vulnerable, Tanks will become useless due to the invention of MAN pads javelin in mordern warfare. So I'm sure they are watching and will make necessary adjustment, so will Russia after the war. |
Amayabor1:@Bolded. Fair enough. you're right about their navy. But tbf to Russia, their military doctrine is majorly defensive and not to project power. They have the military and technical expertise for a mordern navy, but they are not interested. The few warships they have are heavily concentrated for defense of their territorial waters in the Baltic sea and Black sea including their submarines. So because of the military doctrine that doesn't project power, having multiple warships and Aircraft carriers will be useless. That is why they only have Missiles and fighter jet. All their military R& D is directed majorly toward making faster and deadlier missiles and fighter jets . Honestly, The way Russia military is structured, they are not even a threat, as regards to world domination. I don't know why USA can't leave Russia's corner of the world(Eastern Europe) to them and stop threatening their security. The country with the ambition of world domination is China, and strangely, Europe , USA and the likes are not even doing anything about China. The last president that tried to do something about it got shamed out of office. It seems the Chinese has bought the Democratic party. China's Policies, both economic and Military points to that direction of world domination. In the economic policies of china, they have the belt and road initiative, currency swap deal for Yuan with a lot of countries. In their military, China bought an old Soviet Era Aircraft carrier from Russia, as well as old decommissioned Aircraft carriers from the British for studying, they reversed engineered it and built their own first Aircraft carrier. Now they are currently building 2 additional aircraft carriers simultaneously and could be ready in 5 years time. In the next 10 years, we could be having a Chinese military with at least 5 Aircraft carriers. Now tell me what a country want to use that amount of Aircraft carriers to do, if not to project power, just like the USA presently does with its 11 carriers. By the time the idiots at Washington wake up to the Chinese reality, it could be too late. But it's Russia who just want to be left alone at their own corner of the continent that they see as a threat. Let them continue ![]() |
obedience4:Tbf, you don't know that (Burke destroyers can't be sunk) The last time I checked, United States hasn't faced a country with sophisticated and updated missiles in war in the last 2 decade before. Let them face an enemy with lot of logistical and sophisticated weapons support, then you will know that all those US ships with fancy names are also not indestructible. |
BascoVanVeli:It's easy to bring in young players when you are in control of a game. It will help ease the pressure on the said player. Shebi Canada just played a friendly competition in England in February against Germany, England and Spain. Where were the youngsters then. I bet they didn't play because they played tougher oppositions where they aren't in control of the games most of the time. It's easy for our coach to play the younger players or even some of our U20 girls like Demehin and co against a lesser opposition, especially when we play African teams, because we will have more control and the players will still show their talents with less pressure without having to be chasing the ball up and down for 90 minutes |
joelsteron:We have plumptre and Onime as Central defenders who are fairly decent on the ball. The problem is the midfield where the build up usually break down. |
ceejayMAX:6 people on the bench with half of them being goalkeepers and defenders , with 1 or 2 attackers. The position the coach needed to help his game was midfield , but we had no one to do a better job than the guys on the field, even tho , the ones on the pitch were being overrun . The girls tried their best please. |
ceejayMAX:Onumonu is a very good addition to the team, especially in the period where Oshoala is usually in ghost mode whenever she plays for us. Onumonu will score plenty for this team , and I'm afraid that Oshoala will become second choice whenever she comes back, except the coach wants to play 2 CF. But I doubt she will get I'm as the 2nd CF sef, because uchenna kanu or Rashidat is the best SS in a 2 man CF team, because both can link up play well from midfield as a SS. Also the fact that Oshoala has issues with people in NFF will mean that no one will pressure the coach to start her by force |
Heathrow44:Yeah, I know , Germany is Putin's joker in this game. Mind you, Germany is like the China of Europe, It is the manufacturing hub of the EU. Most of the biggest consumer products companies in Europe manufacture their shit in Germany. Even When Elon musk wanted to site his battery manufacturing company in Europe, the place he build it was no other place than Germany. So, they need that Cheap Russian gas to stay competitive against the likes of china, who has also gained a lot of ground in Europe as well. Putin , destroy Germany's energy source, the whole Europe will be basically f*cked |
Heathrow44:By that time , Ukraine itself will be so devasted that even the west will not want anything to do with it. If that's his plan, then it's a foolish plan. One which also involves gambling with the life of his own citizens. The crazy thing is that if this war drags on for too long, some of those EU countries will be pulling out of the Sanction one by one and start back door negotiation with Russia for gas. I won't put this past Germany sef |
SmartPolician:Yeah, It will serve as an important precedence for future cases of extortion fir service providers who do this nonsense no refund policy |
jaeyking:No to talk of the millions the the company corporate lawyer will charge for the case. Foolish company with foolish policy. Even in civilized countries sef, they usually try as much as possible to prevent cases from getting to court rooms and settle out of court even when they know that they can win the case. This is because, sometimes settling these little issues out of Court can sometimes be cheaper than even securing a victory. You only see them in court on exceptional cases. |
Subzero47:They won't go to court. Their response is a normal PR response from organisations. It almost like a generic response for organisations. Nwakali accused them of paying him late and withholding his wages, this is even provable with his bank's statement of account showing the dates of his wage payment. Only this one accusation alone will put them in trouble . I'm sure they are probably settling with him as we speak. |
aribisala0:Yeah , the ojuelegba Guardiola was better ![]() |
DimIsaac10:If Salah, Aubameyang, and Mane were also playing in the Ikpeba era, you think Ikpeba will win Africa's best? These guys presently are ridiculously good, churning out crazy stats every season. Salah is even too good for Africa's best presently, his stats and performance is Baloon d'or contender every year. |
Samunique:This is the kind of nonsense opinion those NFF members and super eagles ex players were giving last year that pressured NFF to sack Rohr for Eguavoen despite doing nothing wrong, just because they wanted to sound like good pundits. By all standards, Rohr did nothing wrong to warrant that sack, but we listened to ex super eagles players turn pundits to pressure us into sacking him because his team doesn't play tiki taka ![]() They will probably continue by pressuring and brainwashing people that Osimhen is also a bad striker and should be dropped too, just the way the convinced a lot of people that Rohr was a bad coach. |
Oddfinder:The Countries can only expel the officially recognized ones that the Russian embassies declares as intelligence officers. I'm sure Russia has thousands of spies(the main foot soldiers in the espionage business) working in those countries who are probably holding the passport if those countries. |
989900:Wrong. A small country like Germany had the military for colonialism in Africa and you're telling me that USSR/Russia didn't? You do know that Germany had a lot of territories in Africa , even more than France at some point but it got taken away from them after they lost Ww1 and it fit shared by Britain and fRance as spoils of war. Russia don't do Colonialism because it has never been part of their military doctrine right from day 1 and not because it doesn't have the military to do so. |
jomoh:The guy doesn't know that 80% of AK 47 in circulation in black markets in middle east and Africa originates from Ukraine and Serbia Let him wallow in his ignorance |
LostMyZeal:People forget easily that Portugal was not an European football powerhouse in the class of Germany, Italy , France , and even under acheivers like Netherlands and England. They are way below these countries in terms of their on field acheivement. Things began to change for them since the emergence of CR7 and his other talented teammates in the same class, like Quaresma, Moutinho, etc. and they've continue to build on that since then and they haven't looked back since then. With the array of good players and talents they are now producing, they will only continue to grow and get better even after CR7 retires from the team and it's just a matter of time before they win a world cup and more European trophies. |
olas24u:Actually, Buhari also had an example in that short period. His policies were bad, things got expensive , the economy was in the mud. People pointed it out to us then , but majority never listened. We were only obsessed with the disciplinary nonsense he displayed then, and the APC media team used it to overshadow his bad performance as a military head if state. Infact, it was one if the reasons that he got overthrown as an head of state and only spent a very short time of 2 yrs. Ian summary, the red flag was there , as regards his handling of the economy, but people ignored it, thinking that fighting corruption will automatically translate to good economy ![]() |
CanadaOrBust:Fact. |
wink2015:With Japan's action, Russia is not letting go of those Islands anytime soon. They'll probably end up setting up strategic military bases on those Islands in future. Even USA and UK hasn't let go of the multiple islands that belonged to different countries that they captured, during WW2 |
Exonerate1:Exactly. Tuesday will come, CR7 will now use Macedonia to break another record and update his hat trick numbers |
simplesearch:Once Russia rubble becomes acceptable on Int'l oil trade market, it t will also become acceptable for buying other commodities too because , they can easily sell it back to Russia via buying of petroleum products. So |
