Amoto94: Comparing Apples to oranges Where is the apple and orange? This is your exact words/advice.. Good thing you plainly stated player/manager. Amoto94: My advice is we shouldn't be quick to judge a player/manager without knowing their attributes and development curve. Was Kante not a player? Were you not quick to judge him, that he is "past it" and need to be sold and replaced? If you are advicing me not to be quick to judge Tuchel, why are you also quick to judge Kante? Where is the orange and apple comparison here? |

Amoto94:
Since it didn't happen there is nothing to much say, a player that's a box-to-box midfielder having a recurring injury and also entering his 30s should be sold before he loses his playing value in a highly competitive league and club. My suggestion wasn't far from the truth that the coach gambled and it worked doesn't invalidate the fact also the unreliability of Kovacic and the inexperience of Gilmour were a factor. Too many nonsense in this post. I will just overlook it. |

Emaprince:
don't mind all these over sabi fans crawling out now..as if we that never rated tuchel are not happy with the success he brought to the club.
Just like donjazet said last time, this is Chelsea where coaches get sacked when there is a dip in form. No time to remember the good old days when we steam rollered teams and won trophies.
Just take di mateo for example.
Anyway....we only wish the best for the club. And I am very happy with the job TT is doing with these boys. I hope they go into next season with this great form Exactly @ bolded. I support Chelsea, whoever the coach is. During my time supporting Chelsea, I've seen coaches both the good, the bad, the ugly but one thing have been consistent: my support for Chelsea. Avram Grant took us to 2008 UCL final, but in my book, he is the worst coach Chelsea have appointed. Did I stop supporting Chelsea? No way. That I don't rate Tuchel when he was appointed didn't mean I will stop supporting Chelsea, even if results get worst. Imagine the guy telling me to go and sin no more... Same person that wanted Kante to be replaced because "he is past it" |

Amoto94: Tuchel acted the way I expected him to do when he was appointed and the results are there for all to see. Tell me what would have happened if Tuchel replaced Kante the way you wanted when he was appointed. Nonsense. |

Amoto94: Glad I was among those who believed in Tuchel when others were doubtful and some outrightly deemed his appointment as a downgrade. He will still have my support no matter what happened come season end. My advice is we shouldn't be quick to judge a player/manager without knowing their attributes and development curve. You should have applied this advice when you called for the replacement of Kante. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by timbros(m): 12:43am On May 09, 2021 |
Amoto94: Do you rate him now? Go and sin no more Don't you dare quote me again on this subject. I should be the one asking you of Kante... Amoto94: Said it the other time that we should tamper our expectations so as to avoid serious disappointment over the course of the season but a lot of you went ahead of yourselves with wild prediction and over the top expectation like capital speculators hedging on mutual funds, now when reality sets in you all are disappointed, cursing and gnashing your teeth like carnivorous beasts. Lampard twice this season has rushed to play Reece James ahead of Azpillicueta who is fitter and each time it ended in resounding defeats costing us 6pts, also it appears that Kante is past it and should be replaced, his recurring injury is a thing of concern. Tactically Lampard has a lot to learn else he will end up like Thierry Henry who is brilliant but can't find the right way to get his team playing when things didn't go his way
I won't mind Tuchel at all but if the board choose to stick with Lampard then I'm onboard with their decision whichever it is. Everyone be claiming "I told you so" now, forgetting that if the right digging is done, they will be left embarrassed with old posts too. |
