In France '98, Nigeria was in the Group of Death with Spain, Paraguay and Bulgaria. Spain was tipped to finish first and any of the other 3 will come second.

At the end of the group Stage, it finished:

So in a group of death, any team can faulter.

What ever happened in the match, the final scored is 2-2. All those excuses wouldnt change a thing. So dont even go there. Chelsea lost to Man Utd 2-3 controversially and the result still stands. Man Utd is top of the table now. Thats all we know. So dont bring in excuse of being denied penalty or not. The result is 2-2.

If champions league is ALL about the club, why do we have pots during the draw? Why cant we have a group like this:

Since individual leagues doesnt play a role.

As for the bolded, it is not true. Look at the quality of players at the disposal of the great Mourinho.
Kaka, CR7, Ozil, Benzema, Higuain, Di Maria, Xabi Alonso, Luka Modric etc (certainly stronger than City). Yet they lost to Borrusia Dortmund and drew with Dortmund in Bernabeu.

Considering the quality of players City have, the is no way Ajax should get a draw in both legs. In fact, sorry to say this, City is a disappointment.

At least Madrid is still in the hunt for qualifying. But City, with just 2points so far, its only a miracle that will make them qualify. Can 8points take them through? Lets wait and see.
