JahBwoy: Do I need pre approval if I qualify for blue card? No bro. It's not compulsory at all. The pre-approval only makes the process faster in terms of appointment date and Visa issuance. Also you family can accompany you at the same time. |

Codedboy95: Hi Everyone,
I am hoping to get my preapproval this coming week, but I am confused about what visa I should apply for myself and my wife. Should I apply for skilled immigration act visa with my pre-approval or blue card visa ? ( I qualify for it ). What visa will I apply for my wife? family reunion? or skilled migration act? I learnt that if a spouse qualifies for a blue card, then there won't be a need to write the Germany A1 exam or do lawyer verification. Does this mean that if I don't apply for blue card visa, she will need to write A1 exam and do lawyer verification? If you have pre-approval, book two appointments under skilled immigration act for you and your wife. You should be able to travel together at the same time with your wife. Booking under the skilled immigration act would still get you your blue card visa since you are qualified. Good luck. |

JahBwoy: Bro Good evening
I meet the requirements for blue card and I'm about to book an appointment.
Please my question is as follows. Where can I get the visa application form and other documents for the application.
How long does it take to get an appointment, and how long does it take to get a response after the appointment? Hello bro. I'm sorry, I don't have the links handy right now but if you go through this thread, you will find the appointment booking link and also the link to the VISA application forms. Time for an appointment varies and it's not constant. However, you should be able to get an appointment within a month of booking and a response within a month also, it could be earlier or later. |

Codedboy95: Hi everyone, I have tried to search back on this thread but I don’t see clear answers, I got a job in germany and I will start visa processing soon, someone suggested i apply for eu blue card visa ( since my job meets all the requirements). now to the problem, I will like to go with my girlfriend as I can’t wait a year for family reunion. What’s the best way to go about this ? Should we go on to do court marriage or can we go together without getting married? will adding her to my visa process delay the application? my new job wants me to resume on the 1st of august, so I have to be in germany by latest by july.
cc: timbs001 If you don't want her to wait for a year. I would advise you get married and also try to get your employer to help you get the documents for pre-approval (under the skilled immigration act) that way you can book an appointment for her at the same time as yours. Some recent changes to the EU blue card even allows family reunification at the same time as the blue card applicant but I am not sure if the changes are in place yet. You can read more here https://se-legal.de/proposed-new-eu-blue-card-rules-2021/?lang=en#:~:text=New%20EU%20Blue%20Card%20Rules%20%E2%80%93%20In%20Detail&text=Flexible%20requirements%3A%20To%20make%20it,be%20reduced%20to%206%20months. |

Ebonyblizz: Hi Bro
Thank you for this info, I really appreciate. I am not applying for blue card as i did not meet up with the requirement but the time is limited for my spouse to learning and get the certificate cause I have to resume latest early next month. Can I have a letter from my Hr. instead stating she will surely learn the language once in Germany?
Thanks always I am not sure how it will work out if you ask your HR for a letter because your spouse having an A1 certificate is part of the requirements if you are not eligible for blue card. However, still book appointments for you both and see how it goes regarding that. |

Ebonyblizz: Hello @timbs001
Please I need your assistance regarding this process, already follow you on twitter
I applied through the skilled immigrate act, my pre-approval is currently been process by my company, but i am confuse regarding my wife as I don't the type of visa to apply for her because the family reunion waiting time is one year. which visa category should i apply for her? Do we need language proficiency ?
I will appreciate a response from you Sorry for replying late, I just saw this now. Once you get the pre-approval, book two appointments for yourself and your wife under the skilled immigration act. Your wife will be eligible for family reunion under the skilled immigration act. Make sure to go with the pre approval documents to the interview. You should be able to travel with your wife at the same time all things being equal. If you qualify for a blue card Visa/ residence permit, your wife does not need the language proficiency certificate. Good luck bro. If you need any more help, please let me know. |

@op. Thank God you were able to overcome the temptation. However you need to deal with the crack in the wall so that the devil does not strike again. The crack is that you seem to share little interests with your husband, If you don't address it now, another issue like this may come up again. Better to always deal with issues like this from the root. Try to get closer to your husband, love the things he loves and vice versa he should do the same too, within a short while you will notice that you will start spending more time in conversation and he will be your best buddy. God bless you. |

Richard00000: Been to DHL no docs yet,was finally able to call the embassy today, and they say they are still working on the visa and documents not sent yet, after asking me to submit travel date and insurance which have done for more than 3 weeks now,did anyone else expirence this? Did you miss any mail from the embassy since you sent your docs? I experienced this when my wife sent travel insurance and passports but it was due to a missing document that was not sent as part of the requested docs, but the embassy had sent a mail to request for the missing document. |

bashito: The embassy did not send me verification completed mail. But my spouse has submitted all the required documents in the foreign office over 3 weeks ago. And the lawyer verified me over 3 months ago. Is it possible for the embassy to send me approval mail without the verification completed mail? My A1 expires in January. I'm so worried. Anyone has answers to my questions please? Yes it's possible. My wife did not get a verification completed Email also, what she got was the approval Email after VISA was approved. |

Please I need a reply as I want to send it tomorrow I think you should send hard copy via DHL/courier. They hardly read their mails. I sent my residence permit requested for my family's VISA via email and I got no response until I forwarded via DHL. |

umunnagree: Thanks so much for your reply. Please I followed the link. I noticed that the person seeking for skilled immigration most be a qualified professional hence I have these questions to ask please: a. I studied civil engineering here in Nigeria And have HND am I eligible to apply for skilled immigration? b. Must I have a job offer in Germany before applying for the Visa.
Please no vex say I dey worry you, it just I that don't much about travel procedure. Thanks. No worries Yes you need a job offer in Germany before getting the pre-approval. You can also apply for a Job seeker VISA even if you don't have a job yet, if granted you can travel to Germany and you have six months to look for a job ( https://www.germany-visa.org/job-seeker-visa/) You can check the Anabin database here ( https://anabin.kmk.org/anabin.html) to check if your institution and course of study is listed. If not, the process is a bit more complicated. Please read more here: https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/skilled-worker-immigration/2304796You can actually get a lot of answers to all the questions you might have by browsing the internet |

Congratulations to you bro, please how did you go about the skilled immigration an the pre approval? Please help a brother, l really have spent so much on agents and nothing happened until now. Please your response will go a long way to save life. Information regarding the skilled immigration act is available here ( https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa-residence/skilled-immigration-act) but basically your employer in Germany needs to help you process the pre-approval documents from the immigration authorities. |

I learnt that even now with pre-approval, the family can get the VISA same time as at when the other spouse with the work Visa is travelling (Someone I know had this experience recently)
Timeline: Application June 17, 2021, Got appointment date for July 19, 2021 Lawyer verification process started August 6, 2021. Got a mail from KVR to submit some documents September 7, 2021 VISA approved Email October 11, 2021 and to submit travel insurance and travel dates Some delay in submitting travel insurance and some requested documents, VISA delivered today November 15, 2021 |

lee2075: Hi everyone,
Please I have an offer and a preapproval from Germany that covers me and my wife. But some of the requirements for a family reunion visa for her requires that she pays 150k for document verification. Does anyone know if she'd still need to go through the verification and make the 150k payment despite having a preapproval that already covers her ? We both have an appointment in 2 weeks. Yes, she will still need to go through verification. I got pre-approval for my family too but my wife had to go through verification. One of the advantages the pre-approval offers your wife is that she will be able to get an appointment quicker instead of waiting a whole year to get an appointment. All the best in your interview. |

I don't really know how the spouse will be contacted If your spouse is already in Germany and has a residence permit, the foreigner's office has all his details including his residential address and email address. They will contact him via the email address. |

Ejopee: Please anyone who have pass through this stage should help with the right information, I like to know too You basically need to take a covid PCR test at most 72 hrs before entry into Germany (Please confirm this as this requirement is subject to change anytime). You can do the covid test at any of the approved labs ( https://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng/privatelabs/). Then do a digital registration here: https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de/#/ and print out the registration document (You can upload your negative Covid certificate when filling this form to opt out of mandatory isolation when you arrive in Germany) |
