This information is strictly for NIU I know. What you said is not the reality though about NIU. I20 processing may take up to 21days but that's not the actual time it takes most times. I have processed i20 for my friend there and it took just 10days. |

Gent009: They said he provided a fake bank statement, but that's in accurate. His bank statement his real, his personal Dad bank statement. How can he appeal this or prove to them? It's obvious they made a mistake about his application. What can be done pls anybody? Another human error These people are playing with people's future. That's why it's good to get funding from school so as to overcome all this Statement of Account wahala. He should reapply and present his case. Also let them know that the statement of account is genuine. Some incompetent workers in the bank can say a statement is not genuine and embassy will take it up. Not always an embassy thing though |

We can't tell what really happened as to why he was approved but we are sure he took a fake bank statement to the embassy and they notified him that it was fake. Maybe the person handling it forgot to update his profile to banned or maybe updated another person's own instead of his. Miracle can happen lol. I also know of someone that provided genuine statement and was banned. Human error do happen |
Education › Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by Time2win(m): 3:01pm On May 13, 2019 |
user4321: Hi guys, So In rewrote the GRE Today. Yes a Lot of people said I had a great Score, But I just wasn't comfortable with my score, so I paid another 70,000NGN to BY Mafit ( Awesome guys). So in order not to flop the Quant, I decided to take some proactive measure. I registered for the Manhattan 6 Practice Test Bundle costing $50, (19,000NGN). I did quite poorly on 3 of the 6 tests. Also I started practicing all the Hard questions over at greprepclub.com forum, to pace myself, and get accustomed to hard questions. All through, I continued revising my vocabulary, and revising all my verbal strategies, so I don't slack in my rewrite. Also based on the advice on quora, I also wen through the ETS GRE Math review, to learn all the funny tips and trick of high school level math present in the quant. Test Day I woke up by 5:04 AM, and proceeded to fry egg, and toast 6 bread slices, for break fast. I went over all my strategies once more, and boarded a bus to Law school B/Stop. Then I trekked down to dragnet prometric. I made small talk with a lady I met there. AWA I went through the AWA quickly and confidently, writing about 900 words for each essay. The keyboard I got was better than the last time, so i had ample time to proofread. VERBAL I prayed for a first verbal section fervently, because I realized that would mean no experimental Quant section ( which I feel bleeped me up last time). So I was really happy when I got a verbal section first. I went through it in 15 Mins (I don't waste time on verbal). And I rightly predicted, I got three verbal sections. I really didn't care which one was experimental. It felt just about okay. QUANT The real reason I was rewriting. I went about the quant more carefully, I detailed my solutions very neatly. I paced very calmly, and resisted the urge to go back and forth shopping for easy answers. I knew getting all the questions right would mean a tougher second sections, so I got my cool, and went ahead calmly. =============================================================================== RESULT QUANTITATIVE- 169 VERBAL - 162 TOTAL - 331
SCHOOLS STANFORD UNIVERSITY -PHD UT AUSTIN - PHD RICE - PHD WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS - PHD
GPA 4.74/5 WES (UNOFFICIAL) 3.82/4.0
cc- quoran scholastica16 time2win
NB: What really helped me in no particular order 1. Encouragement from my friends to rewrite 2. Manhatted GRE 6 test Pack ($50) - (It really mimics the real GRE) 3. greprepclub.com/forum/ 4. Quora
also I hope to beat my 4.5 AWA
Edit: I also wrote while on my full time job as a software engineer Congrats bro. The sky is your starting point. |

Please I'll like to know if I'll still need to go along with the SOA to the embassy or not. Thanks and I await your kind response. You don't need to go with any Statement of Account. |

My post was based on why he didn't get more admissions n not necessarily on funding. U have to be admitted first b4 funding. You forgot that some schools don't admit if there is no funding available. He didn't list the names of the schools he applied to and his GPA. That will help in give him advice |

Nameky123: my brother he just told u nothing but the truth, stop discouraging people over 40yrs do get Visa to study abroad be it Language,BSc,MSC,PHD, anything,Im a living witness,, BSc my own brother got visa@39yrs to study Bsc in France,he is now 45yrs with MSC.working in Paris and living confortably, age is not a barrier to get study Visa, provided you have the potential and desil, that you are 18yrs doesn't guarantee you more access to get Visa more than 35yrs old, what guarantee u is your necessary documents, then prayers to backup everything thanks I am not discouraging any body. Also point me to a post I discouraged someone. I just thought it's not logical for someone of 34 yrs and above going for B.Sc. Most are going for MSc and PhD at that age. Like someone earlier said, Europe doesn't have any problem with your age, but when it comes to English speaking countries like America, you will face some challenges when it comes to age for B.Sc studies. |

Besides, Americans value honour, I do not see her accepting. Perhaps you think so little of the I-20 but it's a vital legal document. Whatever is written, binds. Please do not do this. I have read transcripts of people whose visas got approved and they didn't even have the almighty funding. I wish I could write more, but what do I know. May His wisdom be with you my friend. brainy02: Pls I have this curiosity to clear,
While I am yet to request for my I-20, tho after several attempts yet no funding, on campus job would only be given physically hence it won't surface on the I-20.
Tho I have an agency here wanting to give me about 50% funding, still this won't surface on my I-20 other than the indication that I will have some agency take care of so so amount.
Now I intend to cajole the person in charge of the form to include some GA on the form although it will be ineffective citing that it will ease my visa issue even tho it is not an ultimate determinant.
Pls is this ideal? Or I should just keep faith? Any case of such?
Thanks Please explain what you mean by the bolded. |
