True talk. I have seen like three dudes in there early forties in Bsc program. Europe does not give age bracket for studies to any level. I doubt if he had processed and got RP from any European country

. The kind of confidence you speak with ehhhh, one would think you’re speaking from experience.

It takes over a month at least for the funds to be available. Like @olujastro said , it depends on how fast you finish your police registration and get you Social security number then open a bank account, mine got ready in October (3months)

And again, there is no restriction when the funds get to your account, you can send any amount to any account anywhere you like

Lol he is using Germany analogy. Don't blame him much. He will soon be in Norway to get first hand information

Good evening. I had my f1 visa interview today in Abuja. I was given the white paper that states where to pick up the passport. After, I received an e-mail saying that I have been invited for re-interview. Please does anyone know what that might mean?
Maybe they found something on your application that needed some clarification. Just go with open mind

There's no age limits to studies in Finland and most Bsc courses are offered in English for international students except vocational courses and courses like Medicine and Dentistry that are taught in Finnish or Swedish.
Lol schooling in finland is not the issue but battling with visa officer to approve your permit is the hurdle. Do you think it will be easy to convince them that you are going for B.Sc at 34yrs?

Thank you sir. This is what my I-20 states. STUDENT'S FUNDING FOR 9 MONTHS
: Personal Funds: $ 0
: Funds from the school $ They left it blank
: Family Funds: $ 41,524
: On-Campus Employment $ They also left it blank
ESTIMATED AVERAGE COST FOR 9 MONTHS
: Tuition and Fees $ 21,040
: Living Expenses $ 15,484
: Expenses of Dependents (1) $5,000
Total:$ 41,524
For the family funds above, I gave them my uncle's bank statement for the school to issue me the above I-20. I have been offered GTA and my Ph.D will be funded after I was endorsed by a faculty member but I-20 has been sent since February which is not showing anything like funding. Please should I still go with my uncle's bank statement which is indicated as family fund on my I-20 or what should I do? Please I need you guys assistance. Thank you
Ask the school to send you a new i20 reflecting your assistantship offer.

You need like 12,000€ to 15000€ per annum to survive in Luxembourg. House rent is damn expensive there. It's an expensive country.

Has there ever been any argument about networking? I guess LinkedIn is now a comedy booking platform.

I shared a LinkedIn post which he antagonized the authenticity.
If how his post started didn't clearly show the intention, doesn't this show it

I get the whole idea of him trying to be the smartest guy in the room but gosh, this is a faceless forum. Lemme not say anything negative
I know the bolded is why you reacted that way with your reply. Atimes we give people benefit of doubt and overlook what happened in the past. To me he shared an advice and wasn't actually attacking the post. As per networking, it wasn't an argument. You made mention of everyone writing test and you made mention of skills. I want to ask, can your skills be shown through writing test? I can cram answers and pass a test and that doesn't doesn't show that I am an expert in that area. Some do get job without even writing the test. That's why i said networking can't be overruled.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Time2win(m): 4:16am On May 08, 2019
sheke01:
You have come again

1. "the person that finally landed that job may not have taken that test that you took". Worst assumption ever. Not in IT field. If you say the interviewers might go easy on the person, that's a different case but the person not taking the test is a big fallacy. In IT, Networking can only get you through the gates but your skills is what get you through the door and keep you in the room. Prioritizing networking over skill set is a big oversight...... (I don't want to use a negative word)

2. You think I did not investigate on the story before I shared it? You think I did not see videos of her interning in Microsoft or screenshot of the over one million views her post had all because Jeff Weiner (LinkedIn Ceo) commented on her post or the article Forbes magazine wrote on her? Sometimes you make me laugh. You think life has one formula.....Lolz
And yes, she still did interviews before she got the position despite the popularity she got.

3. Target schools? Lol. Go to LinkedIn and see #StudentsOfLinkedIn
pulling weights and making a difference despite not being in your "top" or "target" schools. The choice of networking over skills is a no brainer, target school or not

You see the world only how you view it, if you decide to view the world in one dimension only, that's the only way you will see the world
He shared an advice and wasn't attacking your post. Your post in a way is subtly attacking. You both shared a great view but networking can't be overruled anywhere in the world. It's an important factor to embrace.

I just got my I-20 form yesterday afternoon, and behold, it was only F-1 that was sent for me alone no F-2. Seems God has answered my prayer. When I asked for the reason F-2 for my dependents were not sent, she said she was sorry, it was a mistake. She then requested for another attestation with my sponsor stating that he will sponsor my family too, statement of account with the required amount.
I just told her not to bother again as time is no more on my side, I will do theirs later.
Please, what is the next step? Should I pay the visa fee and sevis together same day and book for my visa interview? Where will I fill the DS-160 form (link)?
Thanks for your advice on going alone instead of going with the family.
Pay for your sevis, pay for visa fee, fill ds 160 form and book your appointment. You must not do all same day

When refusal is higher than approval for a school, the attention is placed on the school credibility. You need to learn how to respect people's view and understand they don't mean harm when you see comments here. I see this as your inability to read and understand things. "Don't encourage"; I am not encouraging people! I wonder why we have seen more than 2, 3, students at these universities if they are well known reg flags schools at the embassy. That is what I was asking. All the students I know that applied to St. Cloud State last year got denied. Just last month, a dude here was approved with St. Cloud I-20. Is St. Cloud a red flag? You are probably speaking for yourself. To avoid seeing my angry and saying things that may cut you, do avoid my comments from now on. Please!
See, those schools are unserious schools, they can admit you with anything and their admission is very easy. Any serious student shouldn't be applying there. Agents use them alot cos admission is always sure. The way you are saying it will encourage people to even think of applying there. Some are lucky to get visa with it doesn't make it a good school. There are red flag schools that's what am saying.

Here is a public foreign and you can't stop me from saying my view on your post. If you don't like what i said, you can skip it.

I know a school that shares blocks with a strip club and it can issue I20.

You tell me that's not a red flag .

You sound like the VO are dummies. The worst mistake anyone would make is play with their intelligence.
You don't need to talk much on this, those that want to apply there should apply. It's their money, any outcome they get, they should accept it. Yours is to advise and move on.

How do you know the VO knows? How many interviews have you had? And yes, I know someone in Lincoln, too. Na this same US embassy in Nigeria she got her visa. However, it is good to desire quality, better things in life. So, it is recommended you go for a school that has done well, into interesting research, have list of influential alumni, etc.
Don't encourage people to apply to this red flags school. Yes, some get visa with it and majority are refused. Good to avoid them than gambling with one's chances when getting the visa is already hard on its own.

Lincoln university, Virginia international university and many others are well known red flag schools

Hi guys my Visa was denied today.... I wouldn’t still blasphem cos errytin happens for a reason luckily I know the reason why it was denied. All questions asked was answered with tailored answer. She type for a long time then asked me for my statement of account. As the Devil wud have it my dad had withdrawn a substantial amount from the account for his business. So the balance was exactly my school fees. Before then she had dropped my passport in a box below. The moment she asked for my SOA I knew I was in trouble. She kept doing the conversion and comparing with the amount on my 1-20. She did this for about 8minutes. Shook her head picked up my passport and returned it with the Regular yellow paper with the normal Line that follows it.
Good you know the reason. Get a better SOA and refire

Hello everyone, I am currently trying to start the processing for my I20 and the person I found to give me the bank statements I need is my Boss In filling the financial certification form, I want to say he is my uncle but he said prefers me saying mentor and isn't comfortable with Uncle. Will a mentor also fly.

What do you think I should do? Please help me

Thank you very much and I will wait for your response.
You don't need to tell him what you plan to say. As far as he is willing to support you with his SOA and the SOA is genuine, use what you feel comfortable with that can get you your visa. If you are using mentor, have a reason why he is sponsoring you. Also if you are using Uncle, have a reason why your uncle is sponsoring you.

Please theres this portion in the ds160 form where they asked who's paying for your trip. In there, I put my fathers details.

Although I received an assistantship that covers the cost in my i20, I still want to take an SOA to the embassy just in case but the SOA I plan to take is my uncle's not my dad's.

Can the ds160 form be edited after submission? If yes, do I need to change the information on who will be paying for my trip from my father to my uncle?
You can't edit DS 160 form after submission and there is no need to take SOA along since your assistantship covers everything. So you can leave your dad there
