I am talking about a single person and not a family. 70% of Americans don't have $1,000
Like it’s said earlier, the society isn’t build on cash trap or savings rather the society orientation is all about circulation of money . The government wants every citizen to be able to afford the basic things which are food, clothing and shelter (home) . That’s why some people don’t care to take some jobs; as long as their current jobs can provide the 3 basic things they need , the rest na Government get the wahala .

FYI, only immigrants and foreigners take two or more jobs ; you hardly find African-Americans (Akata) or white Caucasian Americans taking two or more jobs .

no, I'm not a Muslim.
neither am I a Christian
and I do not believe in organized religion
I definitely do not believe in any spirit called allah.
that being said

Islam is the reason Nigeria is the way it is today, without it the country would have fared better.
as for the new generation of radical terrorists, I doubt if you'd do worse than the spirit you emulate, he was the father of all terrorists.
I'm just trying to make common sense anyone that has a problem with this should locate the nearest lagoon. good morning everyone.
grin oga have small sense na . so na islam be the corruption, political instability, judicial problems , economic issues among other issues the country is having ? why is this same islam not causing problem in UAE, Qatar, kuwait, saudi arabia, oman , turkey etc . Abeg let our Nigerian leaders do the right thing ans religion sentiments wont have a way in our society .

My friend, you still don't get it, do you? Beat a woman who's the daughter of a man like you and even madder than you and you'll be gonner to this world! Ok, let me break it down. Beat a woman who's father loves her like a jewel and you won't be beaten back. You could be killed!

All these lame excuses, you all forget the woman is a precious eyeball of a man too. You lay your hand on her? What he restrained himself doing for about 25 years, and you think you're the one who has a right to provocation? And don't try to sell that balderdash about verbal abuse and physical abuse. They are not the same! Verbal abuse has never made anyone bleed or killed.
oga why do you think some men commit suicide huh most is as a result of frequent Verbal abuse from their wife; verbal abuse can even kill faster than physical abuse .

Mr timi just because you have not received your fund doesn't mean I have become a scammer. This is the first time anyone is laying such claim against me. (You can check)

Will you come here to repair what you have damaged when you eventually see the fund?

Be patient enough plus we are in the same whatsapp group and you could atleast inform the admin or call me instated of coming here.
grin really !!!! So you can come here to reply post ? You claimed you made payment yesterday and even if there’s network or bank issue it’s mandatory to show proof of payment to avoid any thought of doubt . All I need is for you to send a screenshot of the payment you made yesterday that’s all . Even if the I get credited next month or year I don’t mind ; just show a screenshot or receipt of the payment you claimed you made yesterday .

The truth must be told so young people won't be deceived. Any Nigerian who have stayed 15 years in America and built a standard duplex is involved in fraudulent activities. It is impossible to work legitimately in the US. for 15 years and save money to build a duplex in Nigeria. Many middle class Americans can't save $100,000 within a 15 years period, these are people with professional college degrees,. so when next you see a Nigerian back from the US. erecting a mansion and driving expensive cars just know he is into wire wire, credit card scam, checks, western union money pick up and other shady deals. I expect a lot of bashing from Nigerians in America but I know deep inside they know it is the truth, 15 years is even being fair.
@ op your opinion on this issue is subjective from my own point of view . In as much as lot of Nigerians & other foreign nationals engage in illegal activity doesn’t mean some don’t go through the legal means to make their money . The American economy & society is not designed for people to save plenty money in their bank account ; rather, govt want the cash to flow and keep circulating. That’s why the govt created a credit system that makes people acquire what they can ordinarily not afford . You’ll see lot of people driving a 2018 Ford Edge or Mustang while they work at Walmart or Burger King .
For Nigerians, we understand the situation of things in our country and most Nigerians take two or three jobs inthe US . Hence, all the Tokunbo cars in Nigeria are all Auctioned car that are bought between $1000-$2000 and sold for good price in Nigeria. Some even load them with lots of abandoned and fairly used good from donation centres and ship them to Lagos for sale . E.g electronics, clothes, shoes etc . Also, there lots of People in Diaspora who invest in T-bills, FG Bonds and Eurobonds which is less or No Tax ; when oil prices was down and the FG was struggling so hard with forex , they decided to open the Eurobond market again and sold over $500million bonds to mostly Nigerians in diaspora.
Even though we all know it’s not easy to save money , yet its possible to save up and buy a house worth 30m-40m naira after 15 years of labour in diaspora.

For Nigerian in Diaspora you can check this link for DMO updated on Bonds and T-bills

Just calm down, US is not Nigeria. Everything is wrong with Nigeria but we are fairly lucky cases of Incurable STIs are not rampant. Have you heard of herpes? More than 3million cases happen in the US per year and its not curable. Once you get it, its over. You should read more about it maybe that will guide you. Herpes could be oral or genital, oral could be contacted through just by kissing. Many beautiful ladies with kardashian body have this and its not written on the face. Herpes is not an STI people test just for, they only test for it if you show symtoms. I don't know how old you are but life is not all about sex, you won't die if you don't have sex for now or at least get a loyal girlfriend. Lets even forget STIs, you want child support to ruin you? These girls are desperate and you need to be careful.
thats true bro, thanks for the advice. But no Loyal girl anywhere ooo undecided ; i don search tire .

Good day everyone, just felt like posting few things on here. Coming to the USA is a first step in a right direction, dont let anyone tell you otherwise, however pls and pls have a plan. i am a newbie here, today marks my 43rd day, school is underway and i am trying to settle in, but trust me there are days frustration walks side by side with me.
I know for most (like myself) its all about greener pastures, but then HAVE A PLAN. be prepared, dont just get visa and come with barely 1000$ to your name. people do that all the time and say they will hustle it tru, you may (or not), but its an avoidable disastrous situation in the making. have plans that will cater for your needs for a minimum of 6 months. Coz to be honest, dem no dey share work for street, and as an F1 holder, you cant work (legally) and the school youre in may or may not have employment opportunities for you.
Again, dont think youre coming with the hope of relying on anyone, the friends family members (except its direct and immediate) you have would turn out more useless than useful (at lest 80% of the time). Be ready to be innovative and be ready to admit all youve got is yourself. Be independent (ask questions regardless), but plam for yourself such that you can stand on your two feet for as long as you become better submerged in the system. if youre coming with the hopes of the friend you have here without your own plans, sorrry you will most likely be disappointed. I have an elder brother here, who is more like my GEE, but i am charting my own path, i only ask for advice and directions from hom, i am not staying on his neck, we are not even in the same state (thats not to say we wont be linking up now and again).
Again, have a plan, go to school, if you wanna stay back, have a plan... have a plan.. even if you forget all i just typed, pls have a plan.. i mean a workable plan. the system wasnt exactly built to favor migrants or foreigners so youve to know youre swimming against the tide, as such u need extra push. its not easy, but its doable. its exciting after getting visa and many people get carried away with the harsh realities theyre coming tp face. have your money, for personal expenses, if youre rich enough get a car. Get a license, make sure you come with ur naija license as this will fast track your license (i aready have mine).
Good luck to the ones still on the hustle to get visa, and for those that have gotten theirs and will soon be here, pls have a plan. i am also a newbie, still finding my way around, no much friends (yet), very lonely sometimes... and to make matters worse i dont even know when next i am going to get laid (Tinder dey dull me grin) but i serve a living God, i know he will come tru for me.
have a great day everyone.
43RD day and you never get laid grin grin grin. O boy i got laid in 15days like say i use jazz come. Use school wifi download enough dating app joor; Na bumble & match dey hot now free girls every weekend grin. welcome to Trumpland now the real Hustle begins.

Hypocrisy is when some people are allowed to sell Amazon gift cards which we know 99% are gotten via illegal means and is tied to credit card fraud, drugs, stolen identity, money laundering and terrorism, whereas some others are prohibited from advertising cash deposits. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. It’s unfair to bar all cash deposits based on the preconceived notion that 80% of them come from illicit sources when there are numerous Nigerians living overseas who would rather send money back home without going through all the hula hoopla that’s sometimes involved when sending funds through western union, moneygram and the likes. Western Union for example has limits on how much can be remitted to Nigeria before requesting ID and filing currency transaction reports to the IRS. The most you can send per transaction is about $5,000 in the U.S.

I personally know relatives in the states who have building projects in Nigeria and they will never go through remittance companies but would rather network with others who might need dollars in America. So you see, not all cash deposits are fraudulent. But this is beside the point, you cannot justify barring fiat transactions and not also bar e-currencies and gift cards. There have been countless times when people have sold hacked paypal funds only for it to be charged back, but I don’t see anyone barring paypal. Numerous times when someone bought amazon gift cards only to have their Amazon accounts closed because the source was sketchy, but nobody has barred gift cards. Same goes for itunes and all other gift cards, but people turn a blind eye to these things because it benefits them. You see adverts for itunes floating all over the place for as cheap as 200/$, it’s quite comical because we know the average Nigerian would rather download media contents for free online before even thinking of buying it from Itunes. All those cheap itunes gift cards are obtained fraudulently and used to ‘trade bitcoin.

Lastly, nairaland’s rule 16 clearly says ‘do not promote shady investments like betting… and cryptocurrencies” yet, everyone turns a blind eye because they engage in cryptocurrency trading meanwhile they are happy to chant No Cash deposits! Fair is fair and fact is fact. Due to the frequent occurrence of scam, ALL forms of cash deposits, bitcoin, amazon gift card, itunes gift card, paypal, payoneer, skrill, neteller, webmoney and all e-currencies trading should be banned.
oya Gift card buyers and sellers come and defend yourselves here grin
