Haircut abroad is different from what we have in Nigeria. In fact, you will hardly find a man with a Nigerian low cut hairstyle. The hairstyle on the husband's head is what is common abroad. When I was in Nigeria, I barbed low cut but here no barber can give me that style. So I have the same haircut on that man's head but I don't grow my hair. Anytime I come to Nigeria, I think my religious people will say I have gone in the way of the world. |

Romance › A Nairalander Experience With A Desperate Scammer by Timijo(op): 6:12am On Jan 22, 2020 |
Hello guys, I want to share my experience with you about a girl who was desperate to scam me. She claimed to reside in California, USA.
I met this lady online about two weeks ago and we had a lengthy discussion on the first day. She claimed that her ex-boyfriend broke her heart when he cheated on her and she needs someone to love her again. I logically sympathised with her because I knew she lied. The chat progressed and we talked about so many things like our families, hobbies, jobs, what you want in a relationship/marriage, future plans and many more. After this, she asked me to promise that I will not break her heart. So I played along and she promised to love me forever but I refused to be carried away. When she thought that she had won my love and trust, she hit the target. This is what she said, "Baby, new phone on my mind." She asked me to buy her a new phone with the claim that her present phone is faulty. I told her that I don't have money for that now but she kept asking me when I am going to buy it. This girl is so smart. In fact, I called her a professional scammer. I ended the chat with her on the same day and deleted her.
But today she sent messages to me and as usual, I played along. See the screenshots of our chats below.

Travel › Re: Fantastic: My First Snow Experience In Europe 2020 (photos, Video) by Timijo(m): 7:19pm On Jan 20, 2020 |
There is nothing special about this snow, it is part of the weather conditions in Europe, Asia and other continents that have it. It is an opportunity to be in such a country and I pray that everyone who desires to leave Nigeria for a better country will experience it. My own first experience was last year December and colleagues and friends around were asking whether I have experienced it before. I frankly told them that it doesn't snow in my country. One asked me whether I have tasted it or not but I just smiled. The weather here has always been fluctuating from -1 to -11. When my people in Naija told me that the harmattan was harsh, I checked the temperature and it was +20 plus. I told them that it is not cold. Here we always dressed like astronauts. I have to abandon my naija clothes and changed wardrobe. Maybe the clothes would be useful in summer.
If you desire to leave Nigeria, work towards it and trust God. The Almighty God who favoured me and others will favour you too. |

Thegeneralqueen: Instead of you to focus on your job you went about complementing her pics maybe you think she's one of those bosses that sleep with their employees.....Well you're in for a hot one hope you don't get fired when she comes back Auntie! There is nothing wrong to compliment a nice picture in as much as offensive words are not used. We Nigerians are too rigid, we major on the minor things and focus on the minor ones. Sometimes we act as if we are mind readers but we are always wrong. |

milemimi93: My First Date In 2020. What A Nigerian Lady Did.
What happened yesterday left me in shock. I least expected it. Not from a Nigerian lady.
Yesterday I went to visit a lady in her state. Arriving her state, I told her I've dropped. She texted me to go to an eatery and wait for her. I didn't want to spend much on her so I asked for an average eatery bought a drink and waited for her. She came and told me she didn't like the place that it was crowded. She took me to one bigger eatery within there. Just as I entered the eatery I said to my self "I ain't spending more than 5k here". We sat and she called the waiter and asked me to make my order I told her to make first. She ordered for food and drinks for herself. I later ordered for mine. What I ordered outweigh hers in price because I said to myself "I can't spend less on me and more on a leech".
After eating we sat down to gist. Along the line I felt pressed and I went to the gent. Came back gist and it was time to go. I went to the waiter asked her how much the bill is. She said 11,600. I pulled out my purse to get my card I heard the waiter said "She has paid". I asked "She? who?" She said "the lady you followed paid". I was shocked and felt ashamed.
Since I was born, this is the first time a Nigerian girl has ever spent on me. But you said not from a Nigerian lady. |

Sports › Re: Amir Khan And Family's Christmas Picture Gets Him Slammed By Muslims, He Replies by Timijo(m): 4:32am On Dec 30, 2019 |
Most Muslims are hypocrites. If you find this offensive, check yourself. I am in a country dominated by Muslims. They are nice and lovely people, but anytime I interact with them, their first question is to ask me if I am a Muslim. But their lifestyles contradict what they profess. They are not fanatics like the ones in Africa or the middle east and I appreciate them for this. They celebrate Christmas, sing Christmas songs, wear Christmas costumes, etc. The day we had Christmas service, a Muslim man worshipped with us and after the service, he went around begging for money for drinks and smoke. We did not give him money but we sat at the table and ate together. He also got Christmas gifts. In my opinion, everyone should have the freedom to worship anything/anyone they choose to worship. The judgement of man is not in the hand of any man. Nobody can play the role of God in our lives, trying to do that is a usurpation of power and it is the greatest sin in the sight of God Almighty. |

In as much as this article seems to make sense to many, I quite disagree with your reasons. 1. Many International employers require references on your CV.
2. You also wrote that employers spend 30 seconds to read a CV. My brother, this is not correct. There is no serious-minded employer or job recruiters that will not peruse your CV well unless something put them off immediately they read a few points. |

Travel › Re: Kaduna Immigration Office Has No Booklets: The Nigeria System About To Fail Me by Timijo(m): 6:53pm On Dec 14, 2019 |
DrJossy: Alright, so myself and two other persons are slated to represent Nigeria in Israel at the world Bible Competition this year. This is after a rigorous process of biblical knowledge display. This post isn’t for this sha. I’ll share about it on a later day. . My joy of traveling and representing the country, networking and doing every other thing I’ve had in my mind to bettering my life all along is about to go down the drain, as the Nigeria immigration, Kaduna Head quarters has been unable to give me my passport nearly four weeks after application. . The reason is one of the stupidest I’ve heard in a long time: they do not have booklet to print my passport.
While I’ve been quiet about this all along, today I am out of patience. I’ve used all the strings of relationship I have to sort this out all to no avail, the story still remained the same, the entire Kaduna command ran out of booklet for printing passports and have been expecting resupply for over four weeks now. Four terrible weeks. . This morning one of the personnel there still made an attempt to make it all my fault saying, since I knew I needed my passport someone in my capacity should have had one before now and not come to be pressuring them now. . This is for something that is supposed to just take three working days. Something I've tried getting last year and had to abandon it since I couldn't keep up with their lackluster attitude and was in Kano already. . Surprisingly, the booklets seemed to have been exhausted even before I went for my documentation. Why they still went ahead to run my documentation knowing that they don't have booklets for printing is something I'm still unable to decipher, shey I would have gone to Kano àbí Abuja for the documentation. . This morning they were still running documentation for some other persons and one of the personnel was promising and telling them to come pick an ‘audio’ passport on Tuesday next week. . My team and I are slated to leave Nigeria on Tuesday, 17th, chances are that I may not make that trip if I’m unable to get my passport via a miracle. . I need help from anyone with capacity to help me. It wouldn’t make sense that I’m about to become a victim of this failed system. . Moderators please help me share this, .someone might be of assistance when it's on front page.
I need redress. Bro, I am so sorry for the ordeal you are going through. The system is so corrupt to the extent that you must know someone to get something tangible in Nigeria. If you need the passport on 17th of this month, I think it's late to help you now but I can still try to connect you with an officer in Abuja and let's see if you could get it done. So if you don't mind, send an email to me. |
