all4naija: It is as easy as saying 'May the lord bless you. Give and you shall be given, good measure press down together shall men give unto your bosom'. There are a lot more words to brainwash the congregation to give. Just keep blinding yourself to the fact. No! You get it wrong completly. That is what the bible teaches. I will not argue with you because you are not a christian. You earlier said it that you don't need the help of God. |
manmustwac: NO! They weren't forced to give him. THEY WERE BRAINWASHED!!!Can you provide an evidence that they are brainwashed to do that? If you cannot provide a genuine evidence, I urge you to withdraw your statement. |

I just imagine the rate at which students are going late to schools today in our country without giving a damm about the assembly nor recognising the significant of it. Do you think students will miss assembly again if Azonto and Kukere were made the national anthem? |

It is only in naija movies you will see an ejected tenant putting all his/her load in a ghana must go as if he/she has no other load than clothes. It is in naija film you will see car or motor bike accident happening in a slow motion as if that is how it happens in real life. The funniest one is that of a bicycle. |

Dear Lord, I thank you for granting me my heart desires in this year. |
We talk a lot about money: How to get it, how to spend it, where to spend it, and how to save it. For all the time we devote to talking about, worrying about, and dealing with money, you’d think it was the most important thing in the world. If the time spent obsessing about money truly equated to its worth, then therewould be nothing that you couldn’t do or have without money. Money would be the only thing that mattered. But is money really as valuable as our obsession level leadsus to believe? Money is important, obviously. Without it we’d have no roof over our heads, food in our bellies or clothes on our backs. Money allows us to do and have more things than we can without it. It’s a means to an end. But, for all that money is useful and good to have around, for all that it can buy, there are quite a few things that it can’t buy. Even if you have millions of dollars, there are some things that you’ll never have with money alone. So what can’t money buy? Read on . 1. Lost time Money cannot buy back lost time. As each day passes, it is lost and you cannever get it back. When you miss that chance to say, “I love you,” to someone special, or you tell your kids, “Not now, I have to work,” that opportunity is gone. No amount of money that you make in the future will get that day, that moment, back. 2. Happiness It’s a cliche that money can’t buy happiness, but it’s also true. It can buy you some fun and fleeting joy-a cool vacation, a big TV, a fast car-but it can’t buy the true happiness that comes from liking yourself, having stable relationships, and good a familial support system. 3. Happy, well adjusted kids Money can buy your kids a lot of clothes, toys and gizmos, but it can’t turn them into secure, responsible, well-mannered, intelligent people. That only comes from the time you spend with them and the things you teach them. Money might be able to help with some aspects of parenting but it’s been proven many times that kids, once their basic needs are met, benefit more from parents spending time with them than the amount of money spent on them. 4. Love It’s another cliche that money can’t buy love, but a true one. Money can buy initial attraction or even lust, but“true” love comes from mutual respect, caring for each other, sharing experiences, and growing together. There’s a reason that people who marry only for money rarely end up happy. Love at it’s best functions regardless of whether you have a lot of money or very little. 5. Acceptance True, you can buy things that make you fit in-the latest cars, clothes, shoes, or electronics-but these thingsdon’t represent true acceptance. If you really want to be accepted by your peers (beyond high school where a pair of shoes really does make you part of the in crowd), you’ddo better to focus your energies on making yourself valuable to those around you. Being a good friend, a kind and helpful person, and someone who excels at what they dowill go further to gain you acceptance than the stuff money can buy. 6. Health Money can buy healthcare and medicine, but it cannot replace health once it’s lost. It’s far better to take preventative action such as watching what you eat, exercising, not smoking, and getting regular physicals than to rely on money to save you once your body has started to fail you. Money also can’t buy backyour youth. No amount of money you make in the future will replace thosedays when your body could do anything easily and look good doing it. You can spend thousands on “treatments” to preserve your youth, but it’s an illusion. Once your youth is gone, no amount of money will get itback. 7. Success Some people succeed by being slimy and paying/bribing their way to the top. But these are the exception and I would hope you wouldn’t aspire to that. Success comes from hard work, applying your gifts in the best way possible, and paying your dues to move ahead in the world. There is very little that money can buy you to help you succeed. It might be able to buy you some training or equipment, but the majority of your success is determined by the work you put in, not the money you spend. 8.Talent People are born with certain talents. Money can certainly nurture a talent. You can buy music lessons or coaching sessions to nurture your talents, but money cannot buy a talent. You can learn to do certain things well-I’ve learned to play the piano after years of lessons-but the true gift to do it well can’t be bought.Even after years of lessons, I don’t have the ability to make the piano truly sing, whereas others in my family have had that talent from birth. 9. Class/manners There are plenty of rich people who are rude and crude and plenty of poor people who demonstrate perfect manners and respect for others. And vice-versa. The amount of money you have doesn’t determine whether you behave well or poorly. Manners and classy behavior are not bought, they are taught and practiced at all levels of society by parents and family members who want to see their offspring behave well in society. Money doesn’t confer good behavior.Money can buy you entry into a better class position, but it cannot make you behave with class. 10. Peace If money could buy peace, I think we’d be there by now. Think of the amount of money that governments have spent over the years in the name of “peace.” Has it worked? Nope. Peace isn’t something you buy.I think peace only comes from acting fairly, humanely, and treating others (people and countries) as we would want to be treated. And even then, it might not be possible. But for sure money won’t buy it. I’m not suggesting that you give up the pursuit of money and go on somemonastic quest for deeper meaning. It is important to manage your money well, to educate yourself about money, and earn enough to secure your financial future. However, it pays to stop and think every now and then about the thingsyou would still have even if you didn’t have money. Your family, your health, and your gifts and abilities aren’t determined by how much money you have. There are things that no amount of money can buy and it’s worthwhile to pursue them even as you worry about money. Money is important, but maybe it’s not the most important thing in the world. |

A must read true life story Written by a COLLEGE GIRL before she gave up the ghost...... I Took Off My UNDERWEAR.. I used to be that innocent girl who had the world at her feet. I was beautiful and I had eyes and HIPS that could make men sway, and to top it all up, I was a Christian, a very good Christian with a heart burning for God. When I entered the university, I met a guy, his name was DERRICK. I couldn’t believe my luck the first time I bumped into him on my way to class, he had such a kind smile and a tender look that weakened my knees when he spoke. Because I was late for class we couldn’t talk much but barely three weeks later, I met him at the fresher’s night party and I was overwhelmed. We got talking and I found out that he was in his second year and from that night, we became an inseparable pair. At first, we were friends and as months passed by, we got closer and closer and the chemistry between us was undeniable. About a year after I entered the university, Derrick and I started dating. He was everything a girl could ever want and desire save the fact that he wasn’t so much ofa Christian. Derrick had magical hands that made him hard to resist and most times I fell for it. At first, I felt bad but when I couldn’t help falling into the same pit I killed the guilt on my inside. And then one day, one of my friends said I was getting fatter and that got me thinking and in the process I began to link the dots…first I had a vomiting spree every morning which I thought was due to a flu and then I had this morning sickness which I felt was due to stress and then my missing period…oh no it can’t be possible I said to myself, I couldn’tbe pregnant!!! After a series of test outside school, I realized the deadliest truth, I was indeed pregnant. I was only nineteen, I still had a whole life ahead of me, what was I going to do. I couldn’t tell my parents, they wouldn’t hear of it. Ihad to go to Derrick to tell him what I had found out. On telling him, I saw him fly into a temper I had never seen in my life. He was so hysterical, calling me all sorts of names and I didn’t even know when I started crying heart drenching tears of hurt and betrayal. When he looked into my eyes he must have realized how scared and hurt I was and so he pulled me close and ran his hands through my hair until I had calmed down and then he said tome in the most subtle voice ever”why don’t you have an abortion”.I pulled back instantly, I couldn’t have an abortion! But when he talked about my parents and the sanctioning of the school and the fellowship which I belonged to, I knew I had no other choice. Derrick had made all the arrangements and so on the supposed day we went to the room- like clinic. I shivered all through my way there but Derrick kept telling me that it would be okay and that he was proud that I made such a brave decision. When I entered into the room where the abortionwas supposed to take place I laid down on the table trying to dissociate my mind from what I was about to do and then a young man told me sternly, ” you know I can’t perform this procedure with your underwear on” and then I began to pull it off.As I did this a sense of guilt overwhelmed me, first I had pulled off my UNDERWEAR of pleasure and now I was pulling it off to get rid of the stigma the pleasure had brought…what a shame, I felt so exposed. All through the times that I felt instruments coming in and out of me, I kept thinking of the lady I had become and the hypocrite I had transformed into. I let out a sigh, only if I can get through this I muttered… only if…and then I felta sharp pain pierce through the whole of my body, I screamed butthen the doctor told me to be quiet. I felt another pain but this time I bit my lip and then the pain began to come in successions. I instinctively knew that something was wrong but I was too weak totalk or to move and then I heardthe voices of Derrick and the doctor talking about the fact that Iwas bleeding excessively. The pain was so unbearable and I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker. With the last strengthin me, I pleaded with God”Oh Lord I’m so sorry for taking my under wears off, please forgive me.” and I drifted into a world where the pain seemed less hurtful and the voices seemed more distant. Friends, our bodies are the templeof the Lord… Do not take off your UNDERWEAR when the time is not right. Lots of girls who gained admission into the university as virgins eventually lostit so cheaply to guys who have nothing to do with their destinies. In a bid to get a certificate, they sold out a destiny that certificate cannot guarantee....sh e died long time ago.. |

Men were made to be bold, strong, leaders. However, our society hasattempted to repress these traits . If you look at the way men (especially dads) are portrayed on TV, you’d think we were all a bunch of irresponsible, befuddled, nincompoops, who can only function with the help of a “smart” female partner, friend, or spouse. Consequently, many boys are confused and have no idea what it takes to be a real man . They seek inappropriate role models and emulatethe bad behavior that they see on a regular basis. It is our duty as men, fathers, and responsible citizens to counter these negative images and raise a new generation of men who are respectful, loving, and willing to contribute to society in a positive way. If we are to achieve this goal, we must start with improving ourselves. I started my journey towards self-improvement after my daughter’s birth. The greatest compliment that a father can get from his daughter is “I want to marry someone just like you.” That kind of pressure forces you to examine your life and look for ways to improve. Over the years, I’ve discovered seven traits that real men possess: 1. Integrity – Integrity is more than being honest. It’s a lifestyle set on striving towardsmoral excellence. Real men say what they mean and mean what they say. They are the same person whether or not others are watching. They are trustworthy, dependable, and unwavering. 2. Compassion – Compassion is sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it. In other words, you feel compelled to help someone who is hurting. Men aren’t often viewed as being compassionate, but it is a trait that helps us to become more connected to the people around us. Real men turn their compassion into service and work to make the world a better place . 3. Confidence – Real men are confident. Many people confuse confidence with arrogance and self-centeredness. Real men know the difference. Confidence is about being self-assured and self-aware. Confident men have faith in their abilities and knowledge. They don’t need to tear others down in order to build themselves up. They earn people’s trust with their radiant, inner strength. When a they walk into the room, everyone takes notice. 4. Self-control – Hardly a day goes by without a news report about some high-profile man who has been destroyed by sex, money, and/or drugs. Too many men lack self-control, but it is thefoundation of a virtuous life. Self-control starts with focus and ridding yourself of distractions.Doing this isn’t easy because temptations lurk around every corner. Real men are able to tame their desires and channel that energy into positive pursuits . 5. Perseverance – Perseverance is the product of self-control. It is courageous resistance against difficult circumstances. Perseverance is only developed through trials. Real men endure the trials and emerge stronger. They never give up . 6. Bravery – Bravery is the courage to do whatis right regardless of the circumstances. Nothing is ever accomplished with an attitude of passivity. Real men stand up in the face of adversity . 7. Humility – Today’s breed of young men loves to let everyone know how much swagger they have. They thump their chests and proclaim to the world, “I’m a Big Deal. Look at me!” Real men understand the value of being humble and letting someone else’s light shine . They realize that humility is more endearing than self-importance. Humility indicates that you are ridding yourself of the poison of self-centeredness. Besides, humility softens the blow when someone knocks you off your pedestal. Acquiring all of these traits takes time and dedication. However, oursociety would benefit greatly if all men strove to possess them. 8: A real manknows the importanceof family A real man will keep his family strong and pass on his ancestors' historyand traditions . A real man knows that his children are God's gift and should be treated assuch, even if he disciplines them from time to time. A real man must also remember his other Family , his organization. In my world, both my family and my Family hold the same importance; I protect them both with all my might. If you have a Family , don't forget where your loyalties lie and who has your back when you need it 9: A real mandoesn't gossip A real man follows omerta ; he keeps his mouth shut. He shelters information and rations his words. A real man does not reveal more than he has to and doesn't engage in girlie talk about others. A real man doesn't discuss things he doesn't know about or people he has never met. 10: A real man is strong A real man doesn't cry, doesn't moan, doesn't complain, doesn't get sick, and doesn't need togo to the doctor every time he sneezes. A real man makes decisions and lives with the consequences. A real man accepts responsibility for his actions and his words. Areal man is firm. If life is a b*tch, a real man will slap it and move on. A real man is macho. A real man is tough. A realman doesn't show emotions. A realman is the backbone of his family and doesn't have time to be weak. If spiders scare you, you'll never be a real man. |

FACEBOOK WILL END ON JANUARY 15th, 2013! Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be shut down inJanuary of 2013. Managing the site has become too stressful. “Facebook has gotten out of control,” reportedly said Zuckerberg in a press conference outside his Palo Alto office, “and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.” Zuckerberg reportedly went on to explain that starting January15th, users will no longer be able to access their Facebook accounts. That gives users (and Facebook addicts)a year to adjust to liwithout Facebook. “After January 15th, 2013 the whole website shuts down,” said Avrat Humarthi, Vice President of Technical Affairs at Facebook. “So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them offthe internet. You won’t be able toget them back after Facebook goes out of business.” Zuckerberg said the decision to shut down Facebook was difficult, but that he does not think people will be upset. “I personally don’t think it’s a big deal,” he said in a private phone interview to a source close to a friend. “And to be honest, I think it’sfor the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and makereal friends. That’s always a good thing.” |
