Family › Important ‘A’ Words That Strengthen Relationships by Timijo(op): 12:23pm On Mar 09, 2013
Looking for ways to make
relationships work or going an
extra mile to ensure things are
in place is an indication you
are willing to do your bit for
the sake of love. This process of harnessing
financial, emotional and
material resources does not
promise to be an easy journey
but like they say; “what is
worth doing, is worth doing well”. To achieve a reasonable
level of success, certain words
and what they really stand for
should come to play.

Attitude: We keep hearing people say “Attitude is
everything”. Indeed your
attitude towards your spouse
determines to a great extent
what is going to happen to the
relationship sooner or later; would you be able to cope
with each other? Will someone be willing to
sacrifice for the joy of the
other? If corrections come,
how would the affected party
react to it? How would matters
of care and concern be handled? As a matter of fact,
attitude defines your entire
daily dealings with the one
you love. Simply put, it is who
you are and what you do; how
you treat others and your expectations of them as well.
If you have the right attitude,
your relationship is likely to
groove well.

Approach: Up to a certain point, people are not really
sure whether there is any
difference between ‘Attitude’
and ‘Approach’. Your manner
of approach has a part to play
in the way your spouse would respond/react to you. Soft
answers have a way of
calming down rage while
annoying words keep flames
high. The way you approach a
person concerning an issue
determines whether you’ll get
what you expected or not.
Learning to use polite words is
not old fashioned at all; it rather reveals you have
understanding of the need to
show respect to your partner.
When people feel they are not
respected as expected, they
become difficult to love and get along with.

Apologise: There are more wounded lovers today than in
past times; the desire to flow
with a jet age has made
people feel too cool to say ‘I’m
sorry’. Some people would
rather close down a shop, buying all the gifts, flowers
and perfumes when their
partner seem offended than to
offer clear simple, heartfelt
apologies. The second issue
with apologies is your ability to do it convincingly. The one
you are apologising to should
be convinced that you mean
every bit of what you just said. When accepted, a total
turnaround tells the world you
were truly sorry or probably
would have done what you did
in error. So if you are truly
sorry, please change your bad ways, then there will be
peace.

Allow: Allowing your loved one some personal space to
breathe and think
independently might sound
like some kind of controversy
but this could really be healthy
for relationships. Say it to yourself repeatedly that your
spouse deserves to exercise
his/her mind on issues you
might not want to comment. Giving a free hand in
relationships shows that you
trust each other’s sense of
judgment and appreciation of
things. A man that still wants
to go shopping with his wife because he believes he has
been buying things for himself
for ages and understands the
techniques of big saves will
end up frustrating his wife
who had spent all her life looking forward to that time of
independence when she would
be the woman of her very own
house. A lady who is looking for the
duplicate of her father in a
husband will not only look for
long but would be shocked to
discover that every man wants
to be himself and not to act like his father in-law. If your wife comes with her
unique style of cooking
different from your mother’s
cooking method; why not
simply relax and enjoy the
variety? Checking on your wife to be sure no one talks to her
on the phone; whether at
home or work might not yield
much result after a while. Allowing each other some
level of freedom and privacy is
good but let this be done in
understanding; make sure you
don’t hide behind this to
commit atrocities; transparency is good but
spending some time alone to
think clearly and refresh is the
secret of most successful
marriages. Young lovers believe talking
and chattering is an expression
of deep love but as they grow
older, mature silence that says
“staying by your side is enough
comfort for me” replaces busy, restless attention seeking
moves.

Acknowledge: Getting to a place where you acknowledge
and esteem your lover above
you is the zenith of true love.
Discovering each other should
not only be limited to physical/
emotional contact. The gifts and talents you see in
your darling should be
celebrated. You do not need to
bruise the ego of your spouse
before they submit to you. Destroying his/her own ego or
personality will make them
detest you, feel unloved, turn
arrogant or desire to trust a
stranger who encourages them
to grow. Identify the areas your partner
is good at and delegate
responsibilities connected to
them without interference.
Look for those things that will
make them feel important and needed; comment nicely on
how they have brought shine
on the relationship with this
special touch. Always remember to tell them
‘you would not be who or
where you are today without
them’. Everyone loves to
know they are contributing
something good to life; go ahead and give them that
reassurance and validity. It’s
your responsibility to
strengthen your relationship in
every good way possible.
Enjoy!
Romance › Things That Every Female In Her 20’s Should Know . by Timijo(op): 8:34pm On Mar 08, 2013
1. Love and honour your
mother. Learn from her mistakes. It will save you a lot of headache in your
thirties (30s) and beyond.

2. You are more talented than
you’ll ever know. You don’t
need to sleep with your Boss/
supervisor to get a promotion at work or better grades at
school. Burn late night
candles; put extra time to study and practice until you
master your skill. Hard work
still pays well and does not
kill.

3. Women can build a strong
support network. Don’t let
few ladies with “Pull Her
Down” {PHD} syndrome
discourage you from
cultivating true relationship with your female friends.

4. When a man you meet for
the first time babbles about
how much he earns working for an oil company and how
rich he is, that is a red flag. He
is either a married smooth-
talker who just wants to
sleep with you or he is
childish. Walk away from deceit.

5. Make your own money. Start small. Maintain a stable
bank account. It will keep you
out of trouble.

6. When you meet your Soul mate, don’t forget to wear your most priceless ornament- submission and
humility. But while waiting
for him, don’t cling to any
man to rescue you. Some men
these days are also seeking
for who will rescue them.

7. Know your body. Look at
yourself in front of a full-
length mirror at least once a week, naked and after
clothed. Know your body and
how it works.

8. Life is a gift. But to revel in
it, you must be ready to put a
lot into nurturing your gifts/
talents and skills. Start early.

9. Teenage ended at 19.
Clocking 20 means doing
away with childish
behaviour. But it does not
mean you should forget to
have fun. You can catch fun and not be dirty.

10. Learn the basic skills and
let yourself grow- from how
to keep your underwear
clean, cook, socialize, and
network to how to drive a
car.

11. Don’t do drugs. It kills.
Read books, it fortifies. Dance
as often as you can, it
liberates your spirit, soul and body.

12. Partnership builds bridges.
Don’t ever forget that.

13. Eat healthy. Learn to cook
for yourself. Don’t rely on
noodles alone. The cooking
skill will be useful in future.

14. Don’t give up when you
fail. Try again and again.
Don’t give up on education/
learning.

15. Fear of the future. It is a
state of mind you must learn
to tame. Don’t let fear pull the
carpet from under your feet. The Holy Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit
of fear but of power, love and
a sound mind.

16. Let go of past hurts. You
cannot move forward if you
keep looking back. Holding on
to bitter experiences and
regrets will stale your future.

17. Learn to exhale, love
deeply and be kind to others,
especially those of low
estate, and the lowest of low.
18. You are beautiful the way
you are. Don’t compare
yourself to others.

19. Prayer is the master key.
Have faith in God and always have the courage to use your
voice wisely. Dream big
today. Fear simply means
False Evidence Appearing
Real. Enjoy the highs and
lows that come with being in your 20s but don’t be afraid to grow older. Live life to the fullest and don’t forget to
smile always!

Romance › Re: What Is Wrong In Marrying A Lady Who Is A Virgin? by Timijo(op):
Our tradition supports virginity including the holy book (Bible). In those days, when a woman marries and she is discovered to be a virgin, the husband will take gifts to the parents of the lady for the good work they have done on her. But if she is not a virgin, the husband won't be too happy with her, and she would be seen as a slut. But reverse is the case today, the good moral of those days have been rejected by the people of this generation in the name of civilization.
If one is still a virgin at 20, he or she will be seen has uncivilized person. If she is a girl, they will say she is not beautiful, and if he is a man, they will say he is impotent. Just to discourage them, so that they can give a way their virginity and become wayward like them.
I read an interview of charly boy yesterday, where he said that he lived in sin with his present wife for 2 years before they married. This means that they have been sleeping together before marriage. I was shocked to hear that from him, if he acknowledged that sex before marriage is sin, then what else do you need?
The bible also frown at this immoral act. Read below:
Hebrew 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undifiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
If you are still a virgin, keep it. Don't be intimidated by the words of some sluts. Remain focus, let the bible be your guide.
If you have lost your virginity and you are still messing around like dogs, don't condemn yourself. What you need to do is to repent and all will be well with you.
NOTE: HOW WILL YOU FEEL IF THE FOOD THAT BELONGS TO YOU ALONE IS GIVEN TO EVERYBODY TO TASTE AND THE REMNANT IS BROUGHT TO YOU TO EAT?

Saintp: I cant beleive some guys are anti virgin. is it not someone like you disvirgined that one that is good in bed you want to marry? Is it that u guys cant disvirgin a lady? I dont understand this anti virgin sentiments among guys. So u guys now like girls dat have slept with many guys and when they start comparing you with other guys, u start complaining.

As for me, though marrying a virgin is not a do or die bt i'll not reject a true love cos she is a virgin. Its beta for me to teach her to become a monster in my bed than marrying someone who might have slept with an arm robber, ritualist, herbalist, mad man, father, cousin, lecturer, etc during her sexual excapades.

Dont get me wrong, virginity is nt d only thing dat qualifies a lady or dat determines a succesful marriage, i'm jus responding to the topic.
This is sensible and encouraging. I just wish other guys will learn from this.

How can you compare a woman with a soup? Do you think the only thing that brings joy and fulfilment in marriage is only sex? If that is your view, why not go and marry an already made sex machine (slut) instead of looking for a woman to be tasting like soup. So, if the soup is not sweet, you will not eat it. Continue tasting soup (punny) ups and down. Olorun ma je o shi je.

What is wrong in marrying a virgin?

I am asking this question because of what my fiancee told me about her friend who lost her relationship because she is a virgin. The man asked her for sex and she told him that he should wait till the wedding night because she is a virgin. The next episode was that the man ended the relationship, saying I can't marry a virgin.

Is it a crime for ladies to preserve themselves for their husbands to be till the wedding night?

Which is better?: to marry a lady who has not messed up herself like a biitch or to marry a lady that has gone into convenant with different men thru sex?

Look, I am not saying that it a must to marry a virgin, but if the right woman for you happens to be a virgin, will you reject her for this reason?
