northvietnam:Na you write the article for wikipedia? |
Ikio:You are still putting sentiments in this issue.. only the government of a country can invite another country into their territory. did Assad invite USA? Can UN pass a resolution for USA's intervention after Russia and China have vetoed against? The only people legally inside Syria today are people working with the Syrian government... Russia, Turkey... those causing the suffering of "Syrian citizens" are USA, France and the UK... original citizens who are law abiding have left rebel controlled regions. why dine and wine with rebels if you are not one? These rogues use them for propaganda nothing more. Assad remains on the right path. Any leader that cannot defend the territorial integrity and ultimate sovereignty of his people is worse than an infidel. Till today, in places controlled by the legitimate government of Syria, they live life as if there's no war. children play normally, go to school, adults go about business normally.. even go out to relax, watch football matches.... why is there problems in rebel controlled areas? they are being deceived! War is business. I cannot convince you.. I dont have to. The truth always speak for itself...till today even after a black man has been elected president, has racism ended in USA? but human rights has to be upheld in other countries especially when they have oil. Like I said in my initial comment to you, all mallams to his kettle. |
yusman14:do they give certificates for being expelled in 200level?..maybe na me no go school. |
Ikio:I am not talking sentiments here. The reason why the likes of Turkey, Iran, and Russia are in Syria is obvious. Because of USA's presence...Just recently, USA sponsored rebels to attempt a coup in Turkey. We are aware that USA Is one of the major sponsors if these terror groups/rebel groups including ISIS that is plaguing the middle east and other islamic countries. To let the rebels win will be to pen themselves to the same fate. in Saudi Arabia, there us an absolute monarch, there are reports of human rights abuse. why is USA not trying to change the government? because they are already in agreements. They can turn blind eye to the plight of the people in saudi Arabia right. its never about people...its the course of the black oil. It draws blood especially when USA involves itself. During the Rwandan genocide, France and Belgium sent in troops to rescue their nationals with no instructions to save locals... there's not much to gain from them right? Just recently we read of systematic genocide in Myanmar, why didn't USA go in there? Just last month or so, Ghana's president sold Ghana to USA for $20m. Now USA is attempting to build military base in Ghana. tell me you didn't read about the protests. Is Ghana fighting any wars? of course they have oil reserves too. Forget about sentients. War is business. |
Greatzeus:in a bid to sound politically correct, you sound heavily foolish. Recently, bill gates was at dangotes daughters wedding. na him certificate e take enter? Dangote himself when he started business got 500k from Dan tata...go close doors against am now na. with #100m you will employ profs and PhD holders. How much them Bisola, efe, Ebuka win for big brother how many doors dem don breakdown.. remind of the school wet tuface or wizkid go abeg.. I dey wait. |
ihitenansa:is it that biafrans didn't kill anyone during the civil war? I thought the verdict on the war was "no Victor no vanquished? |

chukemmang:Don't be myopic. Go and read about leaders who have been opposed The west's/USA's international / Foreign policy, they get demonized in the name of spreading democracy. If they can't use you, they create instability in your territory. supply rebels with weapons. note this: when you raise weapons against your state, it is called treason. only your blood can atone for treason. Go read about People like Muritala Muhammad, Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, tell me about the role of America in their deaths and the destabilisation of their country. For many years until his death, Gaddafi stood against the greed of the west until USA were able to sponsor rebels from within and an international coalition from without. Is Libya better off without Gaddafi? I bet majority of Libya's citizens regret their actions. For Assad to allow himself bullied out of power would be to allow Syria fall into the hands of those who have sold the future of Syria to America and the west. As it is public knowledge that the rebels are sponsored by the west/America. on a last note, democracy is not the only form if government that exists, hence not all will practice it neither will it be the most suitable for all. Nigeria for instance... has had more infrastructural development under the military than civilian regimes. All mallams to his kettle. If Assad truly loves Syria, he must remain president till the war is over. otherwise like libya, Iraq...the country will be lost to the greed of the west. |
alexistaiwo:before this event, the OAP was screaming over nothing. Scream till baba God pick your call bro. |
Follygunners:Bros please don't allow people reason for you na! From the pictorial evidence provided by the op, is the subject not in the hospital? Did he take himself to the hospital? if no one took the pictures, how would you get the reports? personally, with the positioning of that vehicle, I doubt the driver became unconscious but na nationalhelm...People were busy taking pictures of the accident, yet not a single picture is the man when he was unconscious exist. Una whedone!!! |
kurajordan:I hope so too... |
AutoReportNG:Lol no qualms...we open threads like. this not to criticise but to learn. if that essence is not achieved, what then is the point? As it is said, what is worth doing is worth doing well. |
coolh3ad:don't mind d op abeg....Saturday is weekend not Sunday. |
nabegibeg:The op .didn't imply part of Lagos...he implied the totality of Lagos and that assumption is wrong. Check the topic out sir. |
AutoReportNG:bros you for wait finish all locations then make a comprehensive report rather than this lopsided report. What did you really expect of a business district on Sunday? as pointed out, majority of Lagosians live on the mainland. A balanced approach is required and this means more pics from the mainland.. especially areas perceived to be busy during weekdays. Also, using Sunday to depict weekend is quite wrong. Saturday is when the weekends. |
Obainoneandonly:imagine how the grandparents feel when their only children (forced by Chinese laws) died before them with nothing to leave behind when they die. |
Rightly observed here by autojosh. One true mark of a metropolitan city is the diversification of its transport system hence allowing for more mobility of goods, services and persons. This is not too say all transportation related challenges disappeared into thin air but at least ease what could have been a worse ordeal as there will always be a continuous influx of people in every metropolitan settlement. The Lagos case is quite sad especially when you consider that some of the projects pointed out by autojosh were initiated by Fashola as such, after 3years we ought to be able to see the fruits. This is not to say the Ambode government is not doing anything as regard transportation, recently I was in alimosho and I can at least testify to many of the roads commissioned by the governor. To address the main question at hand however, does building bus terminal and bus stops address the transportation challenges of Lagosians? the obvious answer is no. What it however attempts to address is one or some of the issues we have especially in road transport. The op mentioned that commuters often have to wait sometimes up to hours for commercial vehicles to come back to the park. One reason why it takes long for these vehicles to return to the parks is because of the traffic jams often encountered on majority of Lagos roads. You would most likely agree with me that one of the factors for the stress lagosians go through is this traffic jam and a reoccurring cause of this traffic jam is indiscriminate parking and stopping of vehicles especially by commercial vehicles. if these bus terminals and bus stops built are strictly adhered to, this can ease traffic jam in a lot of areas. Hence, buses return to parks to pick commuters early hence easing some stress for Lagosians. Like u have said, there's a whole lot to be done the government must keep all hands on deck. Focusing on road transportation alone is not the way to go especially if you want to pride yourself as a metropolitan state. Citizens must be able to have options, water ways, the rail, air and of course land. Whatever project a government is able to initiate and complete should be commended as government is a continuum (though I am more worried about the cost). However for a country like Nigeria and a state like Lagos, if the projects don't address the needs an challenges if the people, it will only result in setbacks. By the way, don't know what kind of grass White Elephants eat. |
Acidosis:They will keep succeeding as long as students don't put a united front. I was in Lasu when the proposal to increase school fees happened I participated in protests was even arrested even though I could have pretended that it was none of my business u was already in my final year. Bit because students didn't show a united front, not before long, divide and conquer set in and now what do we have? What is the state of industry in Ondo state that an average parent would be expected to cough out 180k to pay tuition? I understand you have a point of view though. but the soldier ants, the termites individually are weak but together they achieved alot. |
Funny Nigerian youths that have sold their birth right for a plate of fufu and 1 sachet water. Why would you want to antagonise students who are duly fighting a just cause. A cause that affects you. for how much? money that won't last a week. if you feel because you are from other tertiary institutions, it doesn't affect you, awaken from your slumber. if they succeed in AAUA, be sure they will apply same tactics to other tertiary institutions soon. if it doesn't happen during your time as a student, remember that many of u have kids while others are at least going to have kids some day. Then you have to payback the #1000 you collected in many folds. |
