Na today...during our youth service a corps member colleague was recall to become a acting HOD in a polytechnic over there...the dude couldn't complete a correct sentence in English, that is if he was bold enough to attempt it. Added to this great personality was the stench he wears about. Mansour was some guy! Many of us were overjoyed when the L.I. informed us of his going. |
Now things are looking up! |
If MTN likes let them carry calls for free I still would not patronise them! It's a decided matter. |
This is a judgement that could have gone either way being offshore wells. The astonishing one was the ceding of ONSHORE wells agreed by all parties to be within boundaries of Akwa Ibom to Rivers in the name of Obasanjo's political settlement. It was and is total madness and injustice. |
CHESSBOARD: This is no News, OFFSHORE WELLS BELONG TO NIGERIA NOT ANY STATE,... Offshore wells that belong to Danjuma and co, abeg nothing will change on their 13%Why don't you go and claim the offshore wells in Sao-Tomme and Princippe or Ghana? ![]() |
I hope to meet your requirement someday! Until then, good luck. But the truth is you sound really SELFISH...and what made you think that the man at your financial level will not be as selfish as you are? |
This should serve as a lesson to companies who because of shady connections to persons in government under-cut laid down procedures and rules. |
If Ghana thinks that it will grow her economy through such policies then it should do a rethink. This is surely no way of fighting unemployment. It may probably be a gimmick to show that it is coming of age. Pity them. |
I'm also aware that there are thousands of Ghanaians in Nigeria whose investments are not up to $300,000....send them home! |
Why do we always get exited by things that are of no consequence. While this debate is necessary for the 2% of the voters to take their decision and for our amusement, in Nigeria though, elections are not won through debates. In Nigeria elections are won by: 1. 70% Party structure and penetration 2. 29% Ethnic/ religious configuration(note that this goes very high when there is a seemingly equal penetration by at least 2 parties) 3. 1% Candidate's popularity(in most cases it does not count) Note that other factors are presumed to be part of the above and that all parties are going to rig where they can. I however look forward to the time debates will play major role in determining election winners so at that a Pat Utomi will not drop out for the likes of Jonathan and a certain mallam Buhari. |
Kobojunkie: Again, I am not your sister/brother/father/mother. Abeg, I am just a Nigerian with no ties to you.My friend, striking on your keyboard amounts to doing nothing. You got to march to Aso Rock! Or wait patiently for 2015.Hating and calling for Jonathan's head 'll change little or nothing. Let me ask you a question and before you answer place your hand on the Holy Book you profess and swear that you'll say the truth... The question: have you ever call for the head of mother, father, uncles, aunties, brother(s), sister(s) or any other relation that is corrupt? Pls don't see the mention of your relatives as an insult, I'm only trying to point out what most Nigerians are blind to. And if should answer this, type down that you are "saying this truthfully to God". ![]() |
Kobojunkie: Please don't ever table me as your brother. My It's complicated...the details of which I don't have time for here... |
Kobojunkie: @Slizbeat, see what I mean? Another one common sense is lost on! I wonder how UNCOMMON common sense has really become in the Nigerian world.Sure that's how it would seem, but my brother why don't the antagonistic Reps start the process...they sure know what I'm talking about. To answer you I'll say it's complicated...let's leave it at that...it,s complicated! |
Why do certain members of this forum instead of tackling the issues raised in threads resort to attacking the person of Beaf? Assuming Beaf is a "paid agent" as some would like to claim, he is sure doing a good job 'cos I find his contributions by far more logical, articulate, clearly thought-out, and thus more reasonable than all his attackers. For people like myself, you can never win a debate standing out on the podium pointing your finger to your opponent and repeatedly chirping "paid agent", "paid agent",... Judging from what I read in this forum for the past few months, Beaf is its leading most reasonable commentator. I'm not certainly a person with many words, but on the subject of impeachment, GEJ as well as all others before him, I believe, have all committed impeachable offences, but to impeach him one must be joking - not as the country is currently structured. Try it and the much rumoured break-up of the country will come to fruition! I repeat we are not yet at the ideal so let's stop dreaming too far-off. For those who think that GEJ is not performing, why not keep your finger crossed until after two years at the least. Personally I think that though GEJ is not going at the pace most of us would love, he sure is getting there. The bottom-line is Nigeria has to be restructured for a fast-track development or we'll continue to crawl. |
VEGA: Am I missing something?I don't know how Nigerians (some) think. what made you think that the tapes have not been duplicated severally? ![]() |
brabus: Good morning!Probably. I'm so disappointed...was eagerly awaiting the show of the year. I pray it has only been postponed. ![]() |
From what has so far transpired, I cannot help but acknowledge Otedola as a very smart guy. |
Good development. However my worry is the cost tagged to the project. If as we are told a 100,000 barrrels capacity refinery cost 1 billion dollars, why is it that six refineries with a combined capacity of about 180,000 barrels estimated to cost 4.5bn dollars. |
Ortis: This is pure fallacy 4rm a foolish n imature politican.....this is ARGUMENTUM AD HOMINEM-tryin 2 win a case by abusin or cursin an opponentThank God some people still reason from this point of view. In most Nigerian On-line social media, 90% of arguments are fallacies. |
I believe if this question is put to his wife and children, the unanimous answer will be "VILLAIN." I couldn't concur less. |
Trust Nigerians, this is one of our past-times - jokes! |
By avoiding to appear too dogmatic, Let the truth be told, there's no way one can say that he/she has truly confess his/her sins to God if he/she can't confess same to a fellow man. Just like you can't say you love God when you don't love your fellow man. This is common sense! |
Some people are so obsessed with this smart phones! |
Too bad for Sanusi! |
This video must really be the bomb-I read that when Soyinka saw it he said he'd never seen anything like it. My joy in all this is that Nigeria is on the march to finally eradicating corruption. Why? 'cos giving and taking of bribe, at least at that level, 'll be curtailed 'cos of mutual suspicion. Hellooo Farouk Lawan-Mr integrity! ![]() |
U re not original to some of us that have read Pius Adesanmi of Sahara Reporters. Anway, nice try. |
Thank God a lot of people here who seem not to comprehend what is playing now understand after this video. But what I don't understand is why some Nigerians(well educated ones I mean) can't make clear judgement from a simple 'story'. |
[quote author=Ijogz K]Bla bla bla.... We nid a Military president!!! Democracy is crap [/quoteDon't forget Nigeria is were it is today because of military presidents- Buhari,Babangida,Abacha. Trust me if this guys didn't ... we'd have been better off. However, I do understand your frustrations. If I'm not mistaken, speed is of your concern. I think we need a president that is not only not corrupt but also intelligent enough to come up with sound solution to our PROBLEMS; a president who is not only concerned about our plight but can think and come up with positive 21st century solutions. |
Very big mistake...should he honours the invitation, the house is set for its greatest embarrassment... trust Obasanjo not to disappoint. Eagerly awaiting the day! |
Story-story! Story. Listen to this virgin:"I'm not guilty of losing my virginity 'cos I was seduced and I got excited so I yielded...Mummy remember I once told you that this boy have been asking me out". Mother: (sighs)"I thought you'd say he forced you". ...some of us have always known! |
It is not the power behind the punch that is counted but the punch itself - so long as your punch reaches your opponent, no matter how lame, it counts! |
Boy,boy boy...this is getting interesting! Is the any righteous one among them? NO, NOT ONE! I said it! ![]() |
