Godzchild:So good to hear from you! Your heart of gratitude is very admirable. How's our handsome boy?Wow! Can't believe he'll be 5 years old soon. God bless you both. |
I'm amazed at how people think the UK leaving the EU would be beneficial. The most important point of focus should be the economy which would be negatively impacted. The UK as we all know is a service country, not an exporting one. The strength of the UK over the years have come from investors which was heavily impacted by the free trade deal in the EU. We have all experienced a taste of this negative impact immediately after the referendum. The £££ has still not recovered (not even close) in 4 years following the result of the referendum and let's face it, this is not going to get better in the nearest future. Don't even get me started on the effect of all these on wages, taxes, NI and inflation. Why did we all relocate to the UK? for the opportunities, the economy etc. Would the UK still be an attractive spot for immigrants when there are no juice to extract? Though I'm for equal opportunities for everyone, the opportunities would only abound when there's something the country has to offer. Well, time will tell. |
Very laudable gesture. God bless you guys immensely. This act is worth emulating. |
claremont:Are you a pharmacist Claremont? |
salford1:Not really. Unless they are managers of really busy stores or covering very long hours. The pay is no longer what it used to be. |
naturalwaves:Naturalwaves! Been aeons! How are you?? |
He is so grown already! Such a handsome young boy. May God continue to keep and protect him. May the lord continue to provide for you as well. So happy for you Godzchild. |
okeniti:I join my faith with yours and decree that the job is yours. You'll have a bigger testimony soon. If it doesn't turn out the way you expect, do not despair because the lord is preparing you for something BIGGER. Just put your trust in the Lord and do not relent in your effort. This is the promise of God for you -Isaiah 43:19. Selah. |
Omar09:I doubt if you can study nursing on a masters level without a foundational knowledge. It's one of the professional healthcare courses that requires you to have the basic undergraduate knowledge ie a degree as well as clinical experience before you can even be considered for a masters . Besides, if you're intending to work as a nurse in the UK, you have to have a minimum of a Bachelor (Bsc) in nursing. |

Tinkybabe:So after my 39th week visit to the midwife, she asked about baby movement and I said it was not as active so she referred me to the hospital.. Long story short. I opted for induction on the 10th of January.. So was admitted to the antenatal ward. After 30 hrs of induction ( with pessary inserted) - I was still fine with codeine and paracetamol for pain management. The doctor came to check and said I was not dilated enough to get my water broken.. She performed a sweep which was extremely painful. On Thursday /Friday midnight, my water broke itself.. And I called the attention of the midwives. Was in pain till morning.. I still was not dilated enough to go into the labour room.. At this point I asked for a shot of diamorphine which didn't seem to manage the pain.. My husband kept calling the midwife... The pain was almost unbearable.. But little did I know that the pain was little compared to what I was to experience.. After a while.. They said I was just a few cm dilated but I was taken to the labour room. This was on Saturday.. I was taken to the labour room at 1pm. Was put on oxytocin drop to intensify contractions.. I experienced unexplainable pain.. The second dose of diamorphine was not even evident ( prior to this, I had already decided I was not going to get an epidural and my mum convinced me not to aswell.. Talking about side effects.. After 3 hrs of intense pain.. I demanded for epidural.. My mum and husband said I should not take it. At this point, I felt like kicking both of them out of the room. The anaesthetists had to wait for minutes to have me comport myself to be still for the epidural.. After 8 hrs.. I still was not dilated beyond the point I was at the antenatal ward.. 3 doctors then came to me, I was infected and may have to do emergency Cs.. Did the Cs, I did not hear my baby cry, I was already panicking, asked my husband what was happening.. He tried to calm me down. They carried baby away immediately she was removed and started stitching or gumming me.. Hubby just sat there confused.. Later on, he went to where they took her.. After 10 mins, heard my baby cry.. Was overjoyed.. Baby and I were on antibiotics for 7 days.. Baby had to be taken to nicu at some point.. But we're finally discharged a day to the naming day. We bless the name of God. |
VivyGift:thanks dear |

Really fascinating story! Good job op and please do well to continue. |
The United kingdom does not use a cumulative grade point as a grading system. It's in percentage not gp or cgpa. So getting a 360 credit points simply means she passed all her modules which you should do to graduate anyway. Being the best graduating student shows that she's smart but does not equal a 5.0 cgpa. She probably just finished with a first class. |
curvilicious:He was just so eager to know the gender.. so he felt we would not know until the birth but he's fine now sha.. It's not real depression o jere .. It's was a momentary sadness. Thanks for the welcome ![]() kelizosuy:We are fine, thank you ![]() |
kelizosuy:It is well my sister, sometimes we get so swamped in our worries and problems that we do not appreciate the joy of pregnancy. I was also not ready, I had planned it for much later. I had some plans on ground, my husband not being in the country and me just planning to start a new job further compounded things. These thoughts overwhelmed me when I first found out I was pregnant and this made me unhappy but I couldn't wish for anything more now . I love this bundle of joy more than anything in the world. We have everything to be thankful for. How are you and the growing little one? Cheers. |
Hello lovelies I'm glad to be here. I'm also an expectant mum. Had my second scan last week but gender could not be revealed because baby was not in a good position. Hubby was depressed o. Lol.. We've been able to book a private scan. Was told gender scan is not a routine scan in the NHS. I'm hoping that baby would have changed position by then o so that we can see his / her something . Lol Till then, fingers crossed ( secretly hoping it's a girl) EDD is January. |
Obinoscopy:No, not yet. |
MrBrownJay1:Alright, thank you. |
MrBrownJay1:Just my preference tbh.. I'm open to any African to be honest but definitely not a caucasian. I just want a black person. |
