Education / Re: Strike: A Wrong Approach To Nigeria's Educational Problems by Tinkybabe(f): 4:19pm On Oct 24, 2013
Lord Babs: Are you minding the clownish write-up? Even an industrial nationwide strike becomes almost immune to the Nigerian Government, let alone dialogue, which hitherto, had burgeoned the government's deliberative table. Besides, framing Strike as 'archaic' is hypothetically crucifying and subjugating the expediencies of RADICALISM, since the subject matter is one of the fulcra of radicalism. And by the way, it's only a mischievous f00l or ignoramus that will say Nigeria needs no holistic metamorphosis!

Easy on the grammar man cheesy.Nigerian students are on strike.

The strike which should have been the effective way of making the government hearken to these demands doesn't seem to be achieving it's desired result and the reason isn't far-fetched.
The government is aware that there are alternatives to federal university education-private and other universities that didn't partake in the strike action.Given this, there's no extra pressure on them to implement the signed agreement.

If the sector affected were to have a heavy and direct impact on the aggregate production of the country, they(the government) would have yielded a long time ago .

And quite frankly,if strike doesn't work,I doubt any other national action would except we seek international intervention.

It's just so sad that the innocent ones(students)are the ones to suffer the brunt of this.

Family / Re: Family Section Debate::: Please Vote for a topic of your choice. by Tinkybabe(f): 8:50pm On Oct 23, 2013
I think the topic "Should marriage be a lifetime commitment?" should be edited as that phrase "should be" focuses on the idealistic view of marriage. And yes marriage SHOULD BE a lifetime commitment.

My suggestion of a better title is "Is Marriage A Lifetime Commitment?"..As similar as this looks to the initial topic,it focuses more on the realistic view of marriage and this in my opinion is more debatable.

Btw I vote for the topic.

Religion / Re: Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice? by Tinkybabe(f): 11:51am On Oct 20, 2013
It is because of the worth of what he gave, was it his best? (how much was it worth to him).Abel gave his best worth(his all) but Cain gave just something(part).

Gen 4:3-7

3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof . And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 And the Lord said unto Cain, "Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?"

7 "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?"

.

This was reflected in a different dimension in another part of the bible -The widow's mite

Mark 12:41-43

41 And He sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the crowd was casting money into the treasury. Many rich people were throwing in large sums.

42 And a widow who was poverty-stricken came and put in two copper mites [the smallest of coins], which together make half of a cent.

43 And He called His disciples [to Him] and said to them, "Truly and surely I tell you, this widow, she who is poverty-stricken, has put in more than all those contributing to the treasury".

God wants us to offer our best, not necessarily in quantity but in quality

El Guapo:

Lady Efe, that article up there is incompatible with Objectivism.

I cant overlook her pointing out the hygienic flaws of lazy prats men and failing to give credence to the gazillions who're into everyday body upkeep.

Researches and Surveys around the globe has proven that women tend to be the chief carriers of STDs - which is as a result of stockpiling fungus and bacterias in all their nooks and crannies, this isn't the men trying to level up blames yet the poster wouldnt try to brace such fact.

Columnist going randy on men. We hurt her ego? angry
You obviously read the topic with a biased mind as there is no hint of feminism in it.So you are the one that need a spectacle of objectivity.
It is a known fact that many hygiene posts are directed at women only,so much that wives are sometimes faulted for their husband's unhygienic habits.
If the write-up applies to you, make amends. If not ,appreciate a good word of admonition and move on.
Shalom.

GeneralShepherd:

When you date a guy that is jobless, the problems will always arise.
Reason I said,we'd fine no matter the problem .Challenges would be faced in a relationship regardless anyway

From him being touchy to you being condescending at time.
Why would I be condescending?A person's worth(to me) doesn't lie in how much cash they have but in their attitude, character and self esteem.

If you guys wanted to spend some alone time, its probably in a hotel. And who will pay the bills and for how long? How long can you wait for him to make it?
We'd cut our coat according to our size.If it's something I can afford,I would take it upon myself.
For how long?As long as it takes which I believe wouldn't be too long..lol but really, like I said in my earlier post,he has to be success driven, prospective and focused. These attributes would make us go all the way and give it all it takes, come what may! not forgetting the God factor.

Finally, season come season go.No job today isn't no job forever. The right attitude is what is required.

Romance / Re: How Do U Define LOVE... by Tinkybabe(f): 12:37am On Oct 19, 2013

How can one truly define what love is? Not even an experienced person can truly grasp or explain love to its truest and deepest meaning.

Its concepts are just a never ending story of an open book of experiences. But love does lie in one's heart, where memories are but shadows lingering in your soul. Love is giving someone the power to break your heart, but trusting them not to

wwwkaycom:
. This thing started immediately the second boy was born!

It seem to me that your first child feels threatened about his position and the love you have for him.

He probably feels that his parents are not giving him as much attention as they used to and love him less because of the arrival of his kid brother, therefore he's taking it out on him.The younger one probably reacts in the same vein his brother lashes at him..and the baby girl sees it as fun to join in the battle..

You should call them together and tell them you love them equally, show them love, when you buy something for one,buy for the other and just stress the importance of them living in peace and harmony..they are still kids so say it in a way they'd understand..
