ModsAreMad:
Seriously........ It wouldn't have been better with any one else...... The worst form of ignorance is denial of self worth. A Chinese proverb comes to mind: He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool...shun him. He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is willing...teach him. He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep...awaken him. He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise...follow him. P.S. I'm only repeating a quote. P.P.S. I'm including the Prayer for Nigeria in Distress and enjoin everyone to inculde same in their daily prayers. I believe we are already in desperate times for which the prayers address. If we could as a nation experience Divine intervention in 1998, then we can still overcome. PRAYER FOR NIGERIA IN DISTRESS All powerful and merciful Father You are a God of justice love and peace, You rule over all the nations of the earth, Power and might are in your hands and no one can withstand you, We present our country Nigeria before you, We praise and thank you for you are the source of all we have and are, We are sorry for all the sins we have committed and for the good deeds we have failed to do. In your loving forgiveness keep us safe from the punishment we deserve. Lord we are weighed down not only by uncertainties but also by moral, economic and political problems. Listen to the cries of Your people who confidently turn to You. God of infinite goodness, our strength in adversity, our health in weakness, our comfort in sorrow Be merciful to us your people; spare this nation Nigeria from chaos, anarchy and doom. Bless us with your kingdom of justice, love and peace. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |

Ask4Info: BENEFITS OF NIGERIA'S HARSH ECONOMY
As saddening as the current economic situation is, many people will admit witme that this situation has come with lots and lots of advantages to.
* Who have noticed that major roads in Nigeria that used to be locked down with traffic is its opposite now. Right, only those who truly have business on the road move around while other car owners have resorted to making use of public transport.
* Most people ( bachelors, spinsters, married and singles) have all resorted to cooking more at home than eating out. This will save lots of people have families a whole of of money than they ever thought. People now watch what they eat whereby they now eat healthier. Most people unknowingly are now fit instead of obessed and overweight.
* Married men now spend more time with their families than with girlfriends and social hangers.
* So men young girls and guys are now trying to earn legally as Aristo runs are nolinger paying no more. People doing fraud, pr0stitution, and other vices are now tracing their steps.
* People think three, four and five times over and over again before just throwing money around.
NIGERIA WILL DEFINITELY BE GREAT AGAIN. When the dullard sits on the throne, the mediocre Zombies rejoice! |

rottennaija: It's all too easy to put them up in fanciful pages of papers with nice bar charts and colors. But on ground, in people's lives, where are the facts? I know it'll be difficult but let me help with a few points: Prices of petrol, garri, pure water, transport, kerosene, diesel, all those essential commodities bought everyday by everyone on the street. Then a gradual return to the dark days of extra-judicial clampdowns e.g Abusidiq, the Buhari dog owner, etc. I hope you are aware that your communications minister is pushing for an additional 9% tax on calls, SMS, data, to be borne by you? I don't like explaining obvious facts on Saturday mornings. Or any time at all. Makes me develop a demeaning impression about the person I'm talking to. |
Family › Re: Why Do Most Wives Deny Their Husbands Sex? They Need To CHANGE! by Tinyemeka(m): 10:51pm On Aug 19, 2016 |
Onegai: Innovestor, today is Thursday, send your wife a message right now, ask her what she's doing, if there's light etc. Come home earlier than usual and play with the kids. Buy cake for your wife and everybody eat. When I say play, I mean PLAY. Dance like an egun masquerade. During this play, you guys should make a paper ball, recreate the NIG-GER match of yesterday (pls be Germany ) and stylishly throw it at Mum. Let her pass it back, infact, rush her if she holds the ball long. Feel free to smack her bum during the play, no red card given. Don't ask for sex.
Tomorrow, come home and watch whatever she wants to watch, discuss it with her animatedly. What hairdo is she wearing? Bet you don't know offhand tell her to bring her nailpolish, you want to practise painting because the economy has crashed and manipedis ain't cheap. Ask her what's going with life. Just listen. Gist freely.
Saturday, you and her go to the mall. Go watch a movie together (no kids allowed). In the car home, hold her hand. When you get home, don't sit in your usual seat (the one you use as your personal space), sit with her. Tell her "I've missed us having fun, I've missed you". See how the evening goes. Nna na wa o. All these for how long? Some women could just be plain selfish by nature. Others may want to use sex as a bargaining chip. |

This Nairaland is one weird place. People would come here to masage their over-inflated larger than life egos. Whereas in reality, there ain't just anything to show for it.
What's the point? I'm saying it because of the state of the tuke tuke that somebody said he's being fined for.
You'll see one very vocal NL username and develop a mental picture of the individual behind the username. At the end of the day it'll be a totally different thing entirely. There is Godi o!
Dude be creating an NL thread because of a VIO fine. You never chi chum chin.
Reminds me of something that happened Wednesday. I was to call 3 applicants in order to set up their interviews. First call went well, an appointment was fixed. The second call however was a totally different story. I'd only just introduced myself when the guy began to rant (in Igbo) that I was disturbing him and that he couldn't hear what I was saying and then hung up on me. Also refused to take my calls after I dialled him severally. Tell me, is that dude ever to be taken seriously in life? |
