CelebritiesRe: P Diddy's $360,000 Gift to his son by tipsydude(m): 10:45am On Jan 28, 2010
@ Topic:

most of us here r just being hypocritical and i appreciate dat it's due 2 d socio-economic environment we find ourselves in. I @ d same time commend those who've tried 2 be sincere about their own hopes and aspirations cos the gospel truth is that if some of us in 9ja had half of wat Diddy has, our kids will even obstruct traffic on our roads with too much effizy n hype and that's a fact. let's not condemn someone when u ain't in that person's shoes. which one of us after having gone thru all d hell 9ja has sentenced us 2 and one day makes it big time will want his offspring 2 lack anything. i for one won't do that. let's not be blinded by hate cos poverty is not just a thing of the pocket but also a thing of the mind.

talking of success, it has been proven that 80% of hip-hop artists have IQ's dat top the chart. we all say dey didn't go 2 skool and all dat but have u ever tried 2 pay attention 2 their lyrics? u'ld be surprised @ how much they know abt their government, politics, religion, social and even economic matters. do u know dat d average hip-hop artist is in command of their vocabs and more syllables than our english profs hence d ability 2 rhyme. if u think rhyming is easy then try it. and when d money starts rolling in, they try 2 take demselves away 4rm wat they grew wit viz drugs n thugging and set up bizness empires consisting of clothing labels, colognes, tv shows, hotel chains and so on and so forth. if dey were as we perceived them as in "good for nuttin thugs" how come they culd have such dreams and work 2wards actualizing it? here in 9ja most Yboys r in skool and graduating with degrees but whenever dey make lil dime it goes in sleepin in hotels while their folks remain in face-me-i-face-u, they buy cars and start living from the trunk of their vehicles. some go as far as gettin their own cribs n turning it in2 a way-station 4 d ladies. all these culd seem cool but which one has actually invested and started something dat he will one day point @ and say "yeah, dats all me." but we say we are better of cos we went 2 school. now am not gonna go on dat issue cos d list of names dat r holding up d economy of the U.S. of A witout a B.SC 2 their names is quite endless.

so my dears let's not hate d player nor the game in this instance but the playing field in which we find ourselves and dat's 9ja. lotsa peeps have likened the lavishing 2 d case of Muttalab, well i wan't u guys 2 knw dat cos Farouk went bonkers doesn't indicate dat all rich kids will definitely go bonkers. farouk happens 2 be dat 1 in a million we all talk abt and people will keep spending dough on their kids even after farouk.

i can't wait 2 see wat 50 cent, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne will do for their own kids when d time is right. but more especially i can't begin 2 fathom what i'll do for my own kids if i happened 2 be in their shoes. don't worry am working towards getting there and first step is meeting d peeps who makes d shoes 4 these dudes cos i really gotta be in their shoes asap.

@ Debosky:

You are the best man. Wow it's good to be back again. You've proven beyond all reasonable doubt that one can achieve a lot by being direct and blunt while being polite. Rock on Mod.

@ others:

just in case anyone gets banned i'll suggest you present your case properly than to go about insulting the mods. they've got their duty to perform. now Newdude can go back into the cryogenic chamber and hibernate until wheneva.

I would also appreciate if ALEXIS could help me out on how to locate the serial seeker.

@ Pharoh

Tnx 4 all ur assistance. I really appreciate it. There is one other lil' issue. Each I put on the Mac, I have to connect to my network in the house manually via Network Diagnostics unlike my bro's window's lappie that stays connected to the network always. I have gone thru d network settings but can't find anything that I have to do to make it stay connected.

PoliticsRe: Would You Vote For Yaradua To Be Re-elected? by tipsydude(m): 3:36am On Oct 11, 2009
@ topic:

The simple answer to the question is just "NO", but I bet we all know that it ain't the issue cos whosoever is elected, re-elected or selected to be in that office come 2011 that has the backing of OBJ then we will still get worse stuff than what we are experiencing now.

Truth be told, the greatest mistake Nigerians (both military and civilians) made was to put OBJ in that office in the first place. And such a mistake can only be corrected by the demise of the said character. Most of us will find it hard to believe that OBJ used the whole Nation for full-time rituals and that's why things will never work here as long as he remains to determine who sits on that seat and who does what. Our land(soil), air and water have been defiled and desecrated with blood of the thousand of innocent souls. In case you have chosen to forget then i urge you all to recollect ODI massacre in Bayelsa, all the air disasters where the indestructible black box as we know it was destroyed in each case with special reference to the Sosoliso crash that took the lives of little kids not up to the ages of 15 and the military aircraft carrying our prized and rugged armed forces that splintered among the hills of Obudu. About a month ago, it was on the news that the doctor who carried out the procedure on late Stella had been sentenced. Very funny, like we all did not suspect fetish pranks in her death.

It was during OBJ's time that telecommunication providers (MTN et al) decided to zap of VAT percentages from our airtime despite the fact that it has always been pre-printed on airtime vouchers that the airtime is inclusive of VAT which goes to imply that we paid VAT on airtime twice: first on purchase, then on recharging. The sole aim was to enable telecom companies realize some kind of profit after paying the President and not NCC for license to operate in Nigeria.

The list is endless, but all are of grave importance. Now when he realized that the outside world (yes the outside world and not Nigerians) were not comfortable with his third term plan, he got a puppet to present to the people in the person of Yaradua.

And the new format is seven point agenda. Which particular point out of the seven has been achieved so far? NONE. But if we look closely, we will observing a hidden set of agenda that is actually workable. These include: Kidnapping, Strikes in almost all sectors, Bad roads both in rural and urban cities without plans of rehabilitation, Electricity black out even in areas around state government houses that were wont to have constant power supply, Taxation of almost 50 percent of workers pay, e.t.c,

Our problem in this country is that whenever we start of a genuine fight, we get side-tracked along the line with other things forgetting the initial goal. The case of militancy is a perfect example. Those guys are aggrieved and were sending out a message but got carried away and started kid-napping their kith and kin that are facing the same economic crisis with them. They need to get back to the drawing board and first do away with the label "Militants". They ain't militants but revolutionaries. Cos we all know the adage which states "if you want to kill a dog give it a bad name." I know the kind of leaders we have in this country. When the amnesty sham fails as it must surely do, those guys will be termed "Terrorists".

Nigeria is a land where the impossible always happens. OBJ got into office despite the fact he wasn't duly elected. Air transport disasters happen without any logical and technical explanation as to the cause. Leaders in the Federal and Legislative arm of government either get in with Toronto certificates or get a degree after leaving office like OBJ. So if sick men can preside over a whole Nation of intellectuals and able bodied men, then we shouldn't be surprised if by 2011 or even before then this country will be ruled by a leader already in the grave cos with OBJ every conceivable criminal plot is possible.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Stoke City (0) Vs Manchester United (2) On Saturday September 26 2009 by tipsydude(m): 2:12pm On Sep 26, 2009
It's quite obvious that whenever MAN UTD have a game, be it against Kano Pillars or even Opebi First Eleven, people wish them failure and when they come out tops like they are wont to do, the blame is on bad officiating or favoritism. If SAF did not bribe the ref, then the Queen herself must have given him strict instructions to make the game last 180mins. Can't you guys see that all the hate seem to feed the strength of the RED laddies? Be it as it may, the lads have got the juice and no one can deny them that. The season is still young and it the rate UTD are going, even the blind can attest to the fact that they can only get better. So turn up the hate guys, vent all you can but remember that they don't browse Nairaland. hahahahahahahaha.
