Good evening everyone. Please what is the normal percent service charge I'm to pay the civil engineer supervising the building? He is requesting for 35% of total labor charge which equates to #340550. For foundation to roofing of a 3 bedroom bungalow.

Okay, thank you Sir. I'm on the process of having account with United Capital for the money market fund

To me everything is all right with United Capital for now. The only thing I have not tried with them for now is withdrawal. I consider speed very important because I may need to make other investment decisions sometimes. StanbicIBTC has been my best for that even though they frustrated my moves yesterday.
Okay, thank you Sir

It may or may not happen, but it has not gone below 6% since I started. In fact, I have been getting twice of the usual daily interest in the last 5 days.
Can you withdraw anytime?

The naira end of it is good, CS is also good as everything is online but I am not sure I understand the dollar fund part very well, anyway, make the money de there not like I need it urgently. Rates are not static, but as expected, they are not very high. If u see MMF as a way of savings with interest, you won't be too worried, but if you are like ahib who checks inflation rates, devaluation, naira vs usd and other microeconomics, then I suggest you go into other ventures. MMF is not even a get rich scheme not to talk of being a get rich quickly scheme.

yes i see it as a way of saving with interest without the additional deduction of 10% as applied to normal bank savings and of course slightly higher interest rate than regular bank savings account. I just need something reliable I can compound gradually with not minding inflation rate also bearing in mind my millions are safe

100% capital preservation is not guaranteed because it depends on price movement of the underlying assets. I think this is still the best time to invest in Eurobond Fund.
I get it. What is the minimum investment amount?

There is a dedicated thread for MMF, if you have entered that thread and customer service response was your priority, then I am not sure you would have typed fbn not to talk of typing it in full fbnquest. Except they have changed.
I have not united capital experience, I think oga Emma uses them. for some strange reasons u did not even add stanbic ibtc as an option.
Anyway, that thread will serve you better. They are also matured there.

Please can you send me the link to the dedicated money market fund thread?

Not quite long. I was with fbbnquest before i moved the fund to united capital. See the rate as at today.
This rate is good. Is capital preserved with this investment option?

For customer service except you go physically to their office and be given an account officer, FBNQUEST customer service will stress you more. I have dealt with both United Capital customer service is more responsive.
Thank you very much.... Any hint on the capital preservation as regards the money market fund with united capital please?

Good day guys, it's been long since I last posted here but I've been following up with the thread and I've gained a whole lot, thanks to everyone.

I'm about to go into money market fund with a few millions and my two options are united capital and fbnquest, which among these two have better customer service response? As that is very important to me. Also hope my capital is preserved with money market funds?

PLEASE I will appreciate response from anyone that is using either of the two management mentioned above. Thank you

@tipzy001.
I like your spirit. Always do due dilligence before you agree with seller/installer. And ask questions. Many "installers" dont know what they are doing. Someone posted about an installer using a 24v cc for a 48v system!.
Always go online to look at reviews of products in terms of price, durability, functionality etc before you comit yourself. If posible, ask for sample, comit the specs to memory and then check as against what the seller tells you. The exercising a little restraint at times to view different opinions on this thread may make the difference between a good system and poor system. Also read on how to calculate load, system configuration etc so that you can have an idea of what the installer is doing. A seller once almost sold 6mm wire for me as 10mm somply because 10awg was written on it. 10 awg is not 10mm. He was banking on my seeing "10". Read up sir, you wont regret you did. The person that introduced me to alternative energy about 5years ago has bought and used 5 "no name" batteries while i only recently changed the leoch battery we bought. He has bought another battery after me and it is already giving him problem. I admit battery is dependent on good management practice but i know what i am saying. We live in same place. I have advised him severally but he is too wise. Do not listen to sellers but users, every seller wants to sell his product. In the midrange batteries, i observed from comments that quanta, sukam, and one other whose name does not readilycome to mind are the reasonable. Though i dont use any of them. My pocket and common sense dictates my choices.

@essegis.
No be we fault o. Soup wey sweet.... But as dough no come dey nko? I like cadillac but na keke napep my money reach buy. Wetin i go do?
We all know what is the best. When people see me use light 24/7 and ask the cost, they dont come back. And my system is a subsistence one at that.
Thank you Sir. The money is too big and it will be unwise not to make personal findings and that's why I'm trying my best to gather sufficient knowledge to help me set up a system that will not fail. You have been really helpful, this thread has been really helpful.

Got the tds meter from AliExpress. I believe manuel enterprise here sells that luminous for a cheaper price. I use 4×340w [jinko and Era solar panels]. Bought the era for 44k if i can remember. The Jinko panels were more expensive. I hardly use the batteries as the solar is sufficient to run my loads from 8am to 5pm then @ 6pm the compound generator comes on and off by 9.30pm. My fangpusun bmv battery monitor (from aliexpress) usually shows 90% by morning as we only use the 2 qlink ac/dc fans @ night. Charge controller is fangpusun 100/50 (also from aliexpress) and inverter is axpert 3kva about 110-115k from konga. Bought all myself and got an installer
Okay Sir, thank you very much for these information. I really appreciate

Refilling is easy. You can use sachet water provided you test the tds level. Anything from 5 below is ok. I use same batteries the luminous 220ah and believe you can get it cheaper than that 120k [hot mine @105k, I believe it's 95k each now] including your panel price too.
Nice. Where can I get it for the price please? Also how much and where can I get the TDS tester... And your panel, how many watts are you using and how much can I get it for? It's probably best I buy them myself and then call the installer to come fix it... And if you don't mind can you share a picture of your battery for me? Also what's your review of the battery? Does it last long? Thank you

It depends on who you are asking, I got mine 450k, but why 200Ah? Since you are getting 2 200Ah fla, you can get 2 12v 120Ah or 150Ah Lifepo4. Or get the felicity 24v 200Ah (on paper) Lifepo4 which sells for 350k
"on paper". Mind explaining more what you mean by that?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by tipzy001: 7:59pm On Apr 19, 2020
ojeysky:

Your fla is 240k+fla refill cost @50% DoD maybe it serves 3 to 5 years
Lifepo4 is 350k or 450k @80% DoD maybe it serves 7 to 10 years and you still have 60 to 80% capacity left.

So I don't think the cost triples that of fla
I understand your point completely. Any idea on how much a 120 or 150ah Lifepo4 go for?

Wow, the price looks to be on the high side, more than triple of the fla, I guess it really must be very effective and lasts longer that the Fla. Thank you very much

It depends, can be as recent as 3 months or 6 months interval. Someone was advertising distilled water on this thread. Other option is to use direct rain water or AC condensate water (you will need to get them direct to ensure its clean).
That said, there are active users of fla in here who can share more experience.
Me am LFP and I would have just adviced you to go for Lifepo4 instead of fla wink
Thank you for your explanation and time. How much does a 200ah Lifepo4 go for?

I hope you are up for the maintenance required for fla batteries. That said you may need to increase number of panels to 6 or 8 if you want to power that load through the day with enough juice left in your battery for the night

The foresolar Inverter, is it a good product?

Good evening everyone. So I got this recommendation from the guy that will be helping me install my setup and
please would like your opinion if the products are okay and will be efficient for me, my major load sums up to almost 500 watts for now... I attached pictures
1. Foresolar Inverter 3.5kva (130k)
2. Luminous liquid battery 220ah, I'll be buying two (120k per one)
3. Charge controller 60 amps (90k)
4. Mono solar Panel 270 watts, I'll be buying 2 or 4 (35k per one)

From comparing your picture to images online, what i saw says your fan is ox standing fan "sf-1618". If that is correct, then your fan is 56 watts.

Panel is 18k at Alaba, I learnt. Original panel is 45k but how do I identify "original" when stickers can be placed on a Chinese panel and sent to you as Canadian panel? So I decided to stick by my inferior panel. Isn't it serving me? I got the panels high but later got direct link to a seller at alaba. Be careful, though. A "friend" got the first two for me at 23k each only for me to realise it is sold for 17k when I got direct link. I got the last pair for 39k per pair excluding shipping. There are several sellers on this platform. I have transacted with a few but some are that are "evil". As my law lecturer will say, caveat emptor, ie--buyer beware.

Get your panel in pairs, there is something called panel mismatch. I'm sure gurus in the house will shed more light, and reasons for it. I am a novice but an unrepentant DIYer.

Browse mercurydirect.com.ng for current battery price. It is 112k presently. That is 12v elite battery.
Thank you so very much Sir. I've learnt from you, and thank you for the vivid explanation
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by tipzy001: 6:51pm On Apr 17, 2020

My inverter is 900v luminous ecovolt
Battery is 200ah mercury
Charge controller is 60a pwm
Solar panel is four 150 watts chinko panels(total =600)

Haven said that. Let me give a little background to help you form opinion. This month makes it one year ive been completely off grid due to faulty transformer in my area. It also coincides with when I got the new battery. I have used generator a few times to power fridge and also for washing machine. Other than those periods, I have solely relied on solar to charge my battery.
I used gen for fridge because inverter capacity cannot carry my fridge, and I used it for washing machine until I realised that Ivan use the machine at midday when sun is full( this I have been doing for months now.
My load is basically 32 inch flat screen TV and dstv decoder. 5 watts bulbs in rooms when I need them. Once in a while blender, and DC standing fans of 40 watts each(has its own rechargeable battery). And phones charging. I have always have 24/7 light with this setup except on few occasions when the inverter trips off. Whenever I am to use washing machine, I ensure we don't watch TV that day until late afternoon when we are done with washing or wait till the next day, else TV is usually on from 3:00pm till 10:00pm.
And in this lockdown TV is on from 8:00am till about 10:00pm daily. Even yesterday we washed and still watched TV from 2:00pm till 9:00pm.
That basically has been my schedule for one year now. I plan on adding two more panels though.
Oh and your Mercury batter of 200ah too. How much did you get it please?
