MsDarkSkin: Lol sis next time don't even bother to explain. Chima and slimyem hit it right on the head, this dude is dreaming and wants to announce that he "made it out of naija".lol i knew it was something he was tryna brag about |
pDude: Sorry if I generalized. I as a Nigeria am not used to deep, almost sensual, eye-to eye, and chatting up moves from females. I'm not saying it's wrong but maybe I need to upgrade my brain to the latest yankee OS.the longer you stay here the more u will grow to like it. men are the same way....very aggressive....come right up to you, and introduce themselves, and its not just AA's its white people too. if you ask me the whites are even worse at doing this than AA. i mean, where else but in america can a man feel sexy and virile because a beautiful woman has shown them interest in a very vocal manner. You can't tell me that doesn't make you feel good. matter of fact, i think you are bragging on the downlow! you ain't slick!!! |
@op that is such an unfair generalization. I'm AA and never have i chased a man. I've given indications that i like a man but never have i outright pursued one. for example, there was this beautiful man at the gas station, i mean just gorgeous, and he passed by me, very closely, then he went outside. he worked there and he pretended to be sweeping the grounds. so i go up to him and ask him for directions. he says he didn't know because he had just moved to the country. we were standing very close to one another, and we were making very deep eye contact, so obviously he didn't want to go anywhere and just did not know what to say. that is called being assertive. that is not throwing yourself at a man. basically without words, i was saying "here i am, so what are you going to do about it? are you man enough to say whats on your mind and get outside of that shell and quit being shy? lol he failed the test. but if that is the type of behavior you mean, then basically you need to upgrade your "toasting" skills, because women in America are not shy about letting you know we are interested. If that's considered unladylike to you then i don't know what to tell you. |
lol food is not the way to a man's heart, but it is incentive for him to keep coming around. but that means nothing. he could always wait for the food to get done, get him a plate to go, then go over his real girlfriends house. ![]() |
smoking killer (as we call it in my neck of the woods) is not unattractive, but I wouldn't want to be around someone who did. i used to smoke and drink, but i quit (long before i became a christian.) i'd be way too tempted to hit the blunt. lol. so why put myself in a tempting situation like that? in fact, i actually refused a weekend trip to kings island because i knew they were gonna be smoking and drinking on the way. in a way i felt bad for refusing on those grounds, because i didn't want to make them feel like lepers, but i have to do what i have to do.... |
Excelboi: ^^^Be sensible.... Not everything is linked with spiritual problem.... Smh, some typical nigerian gullibility.sometimes i wish arranged marriages were popular in the USA....it would save people alot of trouble of finding a mate. lol. |
empowerme: A xtian male, nw 28yrs old, currently doin NYSC tins far North f Nigeria-near Abuja.is there any way that you could join a christian singles group in your area? that way you could at least be around women who know that the sole purpose of the gatherings are to meet and mingle with other christians who are interested in relationships which will possibly lead to marriage. There are a lot of nice women out there who would be understanding of the fact that you are shy and dont really have any experience with women. in fact im sure alot would be pleased with this, in addition to the fact tht you are a virgin. Since you have never been with any other woman you are moldable and teachable. Please keep praying on this situation, and have faith. God will supply all of your needs. I am praying for you. |
because this is the hotspot. this forum is where everyone flocks to. |
when i first saw this post i was ashamed because i am guilty of having indulged in e-beef not too long ago. But what annoys me the most is that people think that just because u are a christian that u will not mess up ...sometimes it's hard doing the right thing, because man's first instinct is to do what he wants to do, therefore succumbing to the desires of the flesh. But the point of being a Christian, is to acknowledge that yes, you will fall short of the glory of god. Yes, as a Christian, you will make mistakes, but that is still not an excuse because at the end of the day it is your duty to learn from your mistakes so that u may become a better person. |
@luckgames if ur insinuating that i wear weave also, then you are sadly mistaken. I'm all natural, and have been for about 8 years now, and i am happily nappy. |
well he should already know the state of her hair. if all she wears is weaves then its a safe conjecture to make that her hair is jacked up. |
*Rodney King Voice* Can't we all just get along ?? ![]() |
What I mean by that is in AA music we always have to belt...think Patti Labelle or Aretha Franklin. I always assumed that style of singing was testament to the fact that the African essence still continues to exist in All Africans in Diaspora. But as I listen to 2face, to p-square, and Wizkid (who sounds like he's trying his best to imitate T-pain) none are belting. Why is this? Don't African singers use the belting technique too? |
