I love music. In spite of all the differences that people have in this world, music always seems to bring people from all backgrounds together.

Everyone always think that American Rap music just glorifies guns, drugs, violence, and bling. but that's not true. at least not of the rap that I grew up listening to. Mainstream Rap music is NOT real rap.

By doing this, I hope to lessen the gap between blacks in the motherland, and those of us in Diaspora. Being in fear of your life, being paranoid, having to look over your shoulder, is not a life one would choose, if they had any choice. Many young african Americans dont, especially the males,so they play with the cards that they are dealt, and try to make a winner out of that bad hand.

I changed my name. its not legal yet but it will be. My family refuses to call me by it tho, but everyone else does because that's all they know me by. I changed my name, because I didn't feel like the name given to me at birth suited me anymore. It didn't describe who I was as a person. So i christened myself, and replaced my birth name, with a name of my choosing,which I feel more comfortable being called.

i don't envy any woman. there may be women out there prettier than me, or skinnier than me, but that doesn't matter. I am highly intelligent, and can hold a man's interest in and OUT of the bedroom. More importantly,I am beautiful where it matters the most and that is on the inside. when women realize this, their self esteem will go up, and they will stop looking at the next woman, and stop making comparisons between them and herself.

Also, women need to realize that it is men who set the standards for beauty. we are nipping and tucking and pinching, and pulling ourselves every which way to please them.
