There is a case currently in the supreme court in the US that looks like this.

A genuine graduate came back to the school to issue him an affidavit that he graduated from the school. Mind you, this ex student has certificate, matriculation and all that. But for certain type of jobs in the US, you affidavit of this sort. This affidavit is needed for the new job the graduate just got. Guess what? The school searched their archive and found where a staff wrote a memo of sexual harassments brought against the ex student. The school refused to issue him the Affidavit. The graduate took the school to court requesting full disclosure about the allegation.

The reason for this is that once a certificate is issued, it simply means you who issued it have check 7 found that person worthy. And if at the time you issued it, and it is found that you have some information proving that that person isnt worthy, guess what? You can be sued for misleading the public!

Now that aside Engineers are not technologist and are not technicians

Engineering work is largely theoretical 90% of the time as that's more difficult and requires extensive knowledge of laws of science and mathematics.... Except there is a design flaw a refinery can function without an engineer 100%

Technologist n technicians are capable of handling any problem that occurs as they are more trained to carry out reparative repairs

I only said dangote refinery can't work unless we sale petrol at the international price which was $1.2 as at when that post was made... And that's economics has zero to with an engineer

These are refineries that were built as far back as in the 1960s with parts that are mostly obsolete

Unless a refinery runs into design problems a refinery can function without an engineer really but might just keep a few maintenance engineers n maybe production engineers

Technicians and technologists are enough back to the topic


This shows tinubu and his team lack basic understanding of how refineries work or eveb business/economics and I have been saying this for long (socialists)

Obj who was the chief manager of the refinery for 8 years is telling you what he saw( a management problem) and you are saying he is not an engineer... What concerns engineering and viability of a business?


No refinery in Nigeria can break even... We don't really have functional petrochemical sector to take advantage of it and make it profitable

So about 20% of crude would be wasted because you can't process them into anything via petrochemical processes...on a business with very very very slim profit margins you are losing 20% from start

And you want to sale petrol below the standard $1.2 per litre price

Nigeria would need to sale petrol for $1.8 dollars for any refinery to break even or sale them crude at a discount
