The greatest lies satan use on God's children is that heaven and hell does not exist. he lure u until is too late to make a turn. The warm comfort that come from the Holy spirit to those who believes are far more important than anything on earth. The more u get to know him, the more He (Christ) reveals himself to u through the holy spirit. In the other hand, the more u doubt Him and His atoning sacrifice on ur behalf, the more u distance yourself from him and the devil will stop at nothing but to prey on u to see ur destruction. nevertheless, He's always there waiting on u. From the testimonies of those who've witnessed the great torments in hell through revelation, shows that people in hell will give any thing in life just to have a second chance to make it right. I believe humans are made up of dust (body) and the breath of God (spirit or whatever). When we die, the spirit returns to God that gave it and the Body return to dust. We sleep in the dust until the second coming of Christ. Nothing survives the body after death (most people believe otherwise)

For the mere fact that you uses that bible simply mean that you've not yet develop the urge for the truth. They translated a bible to suit their personal teachings like 144,000 and that Christ did not resurrect with a physical body. Is this what Christ taught? A lot of bungos bible you see in the market today is a result of personal doctrines and greediness from sheep clothing pastors and prophets but inside is wolf leading the sheep of God away.

God gives His breath to man, He gives His spirit, or He gives life.
If you interchange the Hebrew word for breath here (neshamah) and spirit (ruach), they mean the same thing. The former means gasp/breath, and the latter translated as breath/wind/air/spirit. That's why it's safe for NIV to refer to "spirit" simply as life in their own translation.
They are different phrases that means essentially the same thing.

The breath is the spirit, and that makes the object formed out of the dust a living soul.
Spirit simply means breath, while soul is a living being. As simple as that.

Isaiah 42:5 Thus said God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: (close quote) this tells you that the breath is different from the spirit. May be you should consider calling God breath cos john said he's a spirit.

Well! the bible was written by inspired men but was translated by scholars. It suppose to have been translated by a man or men with influence of the Holy spirit. The seems mistake is from men not from the original writers or God. You can't use a circular knowledge or canal mind on things like bible. So sorry about the delay. What is conscience in the first place? It is the inner voice or feelings that signal us whenever we do/did something right or wrong. However, it is base on our standard of moral training from infant or so. let's say christian and muslem for instance, do you think people from these religions have the same conscience? of course no! Conscience has a lot to do with mind (brain) and information (knowledge) in it.

You're in direct contrast to the above verse which clearly states that the breath of life given to man by God at creation is the spirit that returns to God when man dies.
The original book uses the same word for breath and spirit. For the most part, spirit means breath, or air wherever it appears in the Bible. I'm not taking about the English translations here.

The question is this, did the Bible say that the breath of life will return to God? which one did the bible mention spirit or the breath of life?

Well! I wouldn't say is a stupid question but, a soul searching question that can actually transform one lifestyle to much better standard. What can having a girl friend add to your life? There are a lot of positive things a good girl friend can add to your life but they are really rare to come by. In the other hand, the negative one are in every corner and, sex is almost the primary product of having a girl friend which is a direct violation of God's law. The key to life is order. The ideology people have about church is alarming. What do people really think is church or a pastor? You're not that far from it. All that you need to do is just ask Him. Infact, He knows you personally, may be the reason why you're like that (don't believe in Him) is because He want to use you some day to reveal His glory just like Paul.
