MzNelly:. You are welcome. |
My humble advice to ladies below age 26. Its a well known fact that every human being wants the best when it comes to a life partner. Women or ladies have been programmed from the womb to look for a man who will provide for the family while she takes care of the home, however ever since the 21st century, women have played a vital role in catering for the needs of the family financially. What I have however noticed about ladies of below the age 26 is that majority of them leave a carefree, over ambitious life. I mean majority have the notion that they must marry a ready made man who has the finance to take care of their every needs. Such ladies are so blinded by materialism that they don't care what the man does for a living as long as he is capable of providing their needs. You see such girls dating fraudsters, drug barons or even armed robbers (of which when the police arrests them as an accomplice, they claim ignorance of the man). The problem with their materialism is that most often than not, when such ladies reach 30yrs, their standards drop drastically and they might even end up marrying an artisan. This is mostly due to their biological clock not being on their side. So why waste your prime years clubbing, partying, sleeping around? Its a known fact that most men prefer to marry younger women(From the bible to the Koran) and most men chase such women when they are young but, most women between ages 18-26 take them for granted and end up being single at age 35 or even marry way below their standard. My advice to such women is, as long as you have finished school or are good in a trade and are below age 26, settle down with a man who shares you dreams and not a man who will spend his life savings on you. This last point am about to make is to emphasis the traits most men what in a wife. Majority of Nigerians know Cobams but most don't know his wife. On an interview he granted on inspiration Fm some months back, he made some personal revelations of his married life. He married a woman who has a Bsc where as he doesn't, only to find out from a relative during a wedding he and his wife attended that his wife actually has a first class(something she never told him) and during that time she was already doing her masters(of which he help to sponsor her). The lesson to learn from their marriage (especially from the wife) is that HUMILITY plays a vital role in marriage, unfortunately most women of today are to fond of blowing their own trumpets. Am sure the late Dora never bragged to her husband about how much he has or made. Even beyonce with all her feminist songs, worship the ground Jayz works on(If not why didn't she slap or fight him in the elevator when solage was attacking him?) This is something no feminist will ever do (no wonder they end up as lesbians) cause they wish to challenge God who made them to be a HELPER and not an EQUAL. Too all the young men out there, if you really want to settle down, am afraid your options are limited mostly to older women. You MAY be fortunate to find a younger lady who will be truly in love with you, but the chances are a little bit slim. Ladies, the ball is in your court. |
The truth is, the younger the girl, the more materialistic she will be. I have a female friend who is above 35, she has her own house and biz, guess who she married? A typist. Why? Mostly because age was not on her side. So guys, if you want a non materialistic woman, you just have to settle for someone older. Women start coming to their senses when they reach age 30 and above(well most nigerian ladies) . |
DaBullIT:. Am just trying to educate you, like the saying goes people perish for lack of wisdom and guidance. |
DaBullIT:. Which do you prefer? The devil or the deep blue sea? Obviously the Only good military ruler nigeria has ever had is Adusallami, he made a promise and kept to it. This is despite the fact that he had almost unlimited power to rule for life (like abacha). Take it or leave it, history has a way of affecting the future. Its just unfortunate majority of my age mates who lived through military regimes are not members of nairaland. If they were you would know what it feels like to be under military rule. Even Obasanjo returned nigeria to democracy, what did you CHANGE master do? I pity this generation. |
The word change has been abused by the younger generation. At least have seen quite a lot so keep on betting on something that is most like worst than what you are used to, at the end of the day you will live with your decision. |
OkikiOluwa1:. So why go back to nigeria's vomit? No one is a saint, we all should look for better candidates than what is on ground. The past always hunts the future. |
OkikiOluwa1:. Speak for yourself mr man. If you were alive during buhari's regime (or your father) you won't dare make that ridiculous statement. Yes Johnathan is bad but buhari is worse. |
No wonder TVC and Radio continental ONLY play adverts from APC 24hrs a day. I lost faith in APC when I traveled to the village for the first time in 15years last year, only to see ALL the roads leading to ALL villages were tared. I almost had a heart attack. Yet NNPC road in lagos is a nightmare, yet fashola collects numerous taxes. He said he was expecting NNPC to fix the road as a CSR, but he forgot that for any ORG or individual to fix any road in lagos, he/she MUST settle touts and LGA chairman. Anyone who says lagos is progressing has OBVIOUSLY not traveled out side lagos to Anambra, AKAW IBOM or even ABUJA. Yet no other state makes money like lagos. Forth mainland bridge TERMINATED, Metro Line, Suspended. Let's face it both PDP and APC is like the kettle calling the pot black. I pity the next generation(that is if nigeria still exists after March 28.) God help us all. |
I foresee a CHANGE in lagos state oh. I don't wish anyone dead(not even armed robbers, they deserve everlasting pain) but I wish for a toutless lagos state. |
Juliano47:. Mr man am speaking from what the law of the land says. |
Its a welcomed idea. A friend of mine(now born again) told me of how politicians give them guns, axes and other weapons to cause mayhem during elections when school was in session. |
Daddi:. Every one has his own opinion. |
Daddi:. I agree with you about decentralized government, as for tribalism let's also look at the british for example, they have a unified religion with little or no problem (except for some other religions) where as Afghanistan has one religion as well but its also divided into normal and extreme. The same applies to saudi arabia but that country enjoys relative peace. Either way we look at it religion also plays a vital role. I doubt if any senator will approve decentralization cause it will reduce their income and then the northerners will claim marginalization due to poor farming conditions. Remember what happened during the civil war? The igbos knew nigeria has a nation won't progress with the issues I listed in my signature, yet the international community won't allow it because of oil (yet they allowed sudan ) its clear this country can't survive with such issues on ground. There is strength in diversification. |
Daddi:. What do you the do when majority of the women you meet are just fashion freaks, materialistic and can't even talk about simple politics without being biased? Trust me bro,if you meet such women constantly you will unknowingly start to generalize, that's why am amazed by the woman's post, she is the only woman on nairaland with such vast knowledge of law. |
djeezy:. Don't mind him my brother. Who is he to punish a man for a moral act? His he God? Let him punish her and end up in jail. Cheating is not a crime, its a moral SIN. |
Amya:. You are more than welcome. My God grant you more wisdom to contribute positively to the society and not end up like most GIRLS on nairaland who are into runs, stealing or begging. You didn't tell me if you were married, and if I could follow you... |
Amya:. My God. Are you truly a woman? As in female? Heavenly father I think am inlove. Have never fallen for a woman because of her intelligence(majority of the girls on nairaland are dimwits) You must either be a journalist or a lawyer. My God, am so impressed. I guess women, sorry, few women are actually more than beauty, fashion or beggars(asking for bis and frivolous things). Please forgive me if you are married (your husband is one lucky man) permission to stalk , I mean follow you. |
annoymous:. Agreed, BUT one week is just too short, unless the man is not working. |
mirexxx:. Yeah some GIRLS sha. It is well. |
esoboy875:. I doubt if you lived single for a while to feel like this. If you have tasted real independence, you won't miss her just because she is gone for one week. |
Any man who has lived alone will have no problem coping without his wife for even years. As far as am concerned, its only men with low self worth that can't cope without their wives for just one week. What happens is she is sick? Posted outside? I have a married friend whose wife is in us yet he is in nigeria. So what's the fuss about? Such men should just grow up. I would have understood if it was a woman complaining. Na wa for some men sha. |
mirexxx:. We value not what we have until we need it most. Live your life. |
mirexxx:. Its obvious you have not heard the saying,he who pays the piper dictates the tune, don't you know most women who marry for money are slaves? Its better you work for your own money than beg for it especially when its not a matter of life and death. Take heed to my advice. A beggar is not respected in the society. |
mirexxx:. You this GiRL, you always justify women collecting money from guys but will complain when men treat you like a slave. Nothing goes for nothing. |
Wait a dog gone minute. Have never had a woman do all these or even any of these for me(I don't beat women oh) does it mean no woman has ever truly loved me? I taught all these things were fairy tales. A woman reject her family for me? Instead she let's her family dictate to her. Buy gifts for me? Am always the one buying gifts. Live in the house with me? Always rushing to go home. Tattoo my name on her? Never. Dam I have been fooled... |
Medunah:. You too, stop looking for men to drive you around as if they are your driver. Get your own car too. |
LewisO:. Don't dare form sarcasm there. Your post was clear. Better stop your tribalism. |
LewisO:. Don't you dear bring tribalism into this thread MR man, did any of their husbands frown while taking the pix? Take it or leave it lola as always had issues smiling. Sympathy to her dead inlaw my ass. |
To hell with aso whatever its called. Are you attending school? Absolute rubbish. Besides OP, it not a national thing. Am sure its mostly yoruba weddings you have attended to conclude that aso ebi is now a national thing. Pls, its not national. |
There is going to be an interesting election process in lagos... Can't wait to see what will happen. |
farano:. I don't expect you to accept, just contest a beauty contest with her and see who wins. |
