PoliticsRe: Buhari - The Man Of Contradictions by tivta(m): 9:45pm On Feb 28, 2015
Amya:
There's no guarantee that Buhari's government will provide employment, electricity, food, house or whatever. He hasn't bothered much on providing the blueprint on his supposed plan of turning Nigeria around. All what him and his party has been focused on is attacking the current government. I'm not impressed with Buhari or his campaign system honestly.

He says he's incorruptible, but his cronies and party members are known corrupt people. It just doesn't fit.

I'll go with the current system rather than Buhari. You know why? Buhari hasn't for once come out to say convincingly how he'd handle the issues he castigates the current government for. He clearly has contempt and deep rooted resentment for the government of the day. That explains why he hasn't come for once to praise the govt in it successes and criticise when it fail expected of a presidential aspirant. Rather he has chosen to be mute in successes and very very vocal in failure. One other thing I dislike about him is his arrogance and overbearing attitude. It permeates him like cologne. I'd rather stick with a clueless mugu than with him.
. You have patience, are you a teacher? Cause as for me am tired of teaching these indomie generation the ills of military rule. Even obasanjo knows military rule is against human rights hence he returned nigeria to democracy as quickly as possible, yet buhari could not do the same but he wants to become president haba, you cannot reap where you did not sow. I really pity this generation and am dead scared of having children in this country that doesn't take history seriously. Please my dear just save your energy, time reveals all things.

PoliticsCould This Be The Cause For Naira's Crash? by tivta(op): 9:44am On Feb 28, 2015
We all know that the current cost of brent crude is around $59- $60, this is the main excuse the government gives for the crash of Naira but however, naira officially sells for N202 to a dollar.
My opinion of the matter is, could all the business men and politicians be buying and saving dollars for the fear of nigeria's breakup? There are even rumors that the Naira might reach N250 to a dollar by 28 march. We all know the two main parties have threatened to bring chaos if either doesn't win. First south south says it will bomb all oil wells, then Apc says it will form a parallel government if it loses. Let's all be prayerful and most of all be vigilant cause these are really dark times.

Dealers imports based on demand, if people swing their pendulum toward other brands dealers will surely follow suit.
In the 70s to early 90s Benz, VW and Peugeot were the best sellers because our cars were coming in from Europe until mid 90s when started importing from the US/Canada based on the fact cars were cheaper in North America which offers better ROI to the dealers.
People need to start buying cars not just because of reliability or second hand value but because they want to enjoy comfort and luxury to the fullest.
Range Rover and G-wagon are certainly not the easiest of cars to maintain but importers are importing them based on the simple that people demands it, people should change their perception about Toyota cars being reliable and cheap to maintain because they are not and the number of recalls Toyota record annually prove that.
. Toyota is the world's number one car brand and highest seller. Google it before you mislead people.

And also thanks, I've got mine in control. Wisdom is key to every facets of life's decisions and actions. If OP can cope with a cheating spouse, who am I to complain? Lol

mr kraftman I wonder what my moniker has got to do with ur suggestions,my moniker is actually my name if translated in my local language. I find it denigrating 4 u to attribute to sounding whorish.am sorry to dissappoint you, I still maintain my grounds that d OP should flee. FYI, marriage is to be enjoyed not managed. If for just few days she travelled, the guy started sleeping around and even being so careless to leave some in d trash bin. What will happen if eventually they do get settled and OP travels for even 1yr? In relationship what actually matters is respect and that has worked for me for 10yrs! And stop justifying infifelity and casting aspersions on people's Identity youngman!
. My sweet sister, let me tell you a short true life story of my friend(
Real life story that is still on going).
He dated a virgin and just a week before the traditional marriage he sowed his last "wild oat"(he had an affair). His wife to be found out, he begged she went on with the marriage but she never forgave him. She even went as far as laying a curse on him for cheating on her, that he won't progress etc(cause she has always been faithful). My friend never foundout about the curse until when he discovered he is no longer being paid at work and has nothing to show for his years of labour. He has apologized times without number for cheating and tried to make amends but the girl won't just let the past be. She eventually gave birth to a baby boy for my friend, but still made trouble for him cause of his one night stand. Now my friend has asked her to live his house and return his child, cause he is done with her curses and unforgiving heart(even God forgives). Now my dear sister, who will suffer for the most for all these? Its the woman, its because here in nigeria, its extremely difficult for single female parent to get married(a well known fact) and the guy may still struggle, but once he can get the curse off his head, he can easily remarry. Now my dear believe it or not, have only cheated once on my GF in the past, but as soon as I cheated on her I broke up due to guilty conscience.
The moral of this story is, if any party sins, try as much as possible to forgive and forget, cause no human being is perfect. If you as a woman can't tolerate a cheat, make sure you tell your bf from the very first day. Also be prepared to accept another type of abuse from him cause like I said, no man or woman is perfect. He maybe a verbal abuser or physical abuser, dirty, stingy, boring etc. The fact still remains all men and women have one flaw or the other. My dear sister am saying all these so you don't end up like my friend cause I know lots of single mothers outthere that are leaving in hell cause of the pride they have. Take care.

CrimeRe: This Is The New Way Of Robbing In Lagos by tivta(m): 2:54pm On Feb 25, 2015
This thread as a misleading title. In as much as I sympathize with the victim, this is not ROBBERY, this is FRAUD. I was thinking when I open the thread I would see how Robbers robb innocent people in their homes or houses. Stories such as this is rampant, that's why you can hardly hear of an experienced business man being duped, he will count each and every money till the very end and you MUST be there no matter how much in a hurry you are.

Three things are involved here
1. Lack of experience
2. Impatience
3. Greed.
All business owners should take note, don't ever be in a hurry to sell anything to a stranger. It is well.

Haha. If you saw me, you'd want to marry me yourself, believe that. Btw, I don't have showing tattoos or multiple piercings. I only have my ears over-pierced. I'm not a fan of facial piercing.

I also don't care for men who have an issue with tattoos. Take me as I am or kick rocks is my motto. There's a lid for every pot out there so whatever
. Thank God for your honesty. What am saying in essence is that its highly unlikely you will find a nigerian man living in nigeria that will accept such tattoo or piercing cause even if he does what of his parents? What of the church? Let's face it, nigerian society does not encourage such. You are better off with a white man or a nigerian living abroad. Just taught you should know. As for me? I can't marry such cause I was not brought up to do such(am not a saint thou)

CelebritiesRe: Omotola Jalade Ekeinde's Son Passes Out At US Embassy by tivta(m): 12:16pm On Feb 24, 2015
Just one question to you all blasting her. Would you say all these painful things if the son had died? Why so heartless? Yes people have been through worse but let's face it they are in the limelight therefore are more "important" than the average joe. If she didn't say anything you will complain, she said something you are still complaining. Na wa for some nigerians. Too much player hating in the country nowadays. Next time you take your own advice and keep quite instead of yabbing the pained woman. Am sure majority of the people commenting here don't even have children and therefore don't know how painful it is to experience such.

Shame on who ever put this topic on FP without editing the tribal remarks from posters. Yet we say we are nigerians. This country is a failure from the start if we can't use our differences as strength. When I say nigerians are tribalistic people won't listen. So its now wrong for igbos to marry themselves but ok for yoruba and hausa to do the same? Ever since the civil war igbos have been bastardized yet you Nigerians won't allow igbos create their own country. Haba. What sort of country is this? Perhaps this bokoharm issue will FINALLY divide nigeria. Seun, pay more attention to this tribalistic fagggots. This thread does not speak well of nairaland, for goodness sake the whole world is watching. The moderator that published this seriously needs to be sanctioned.

Hello House,
I have followed this thread for quite a while and i had commented some time ago but it was lost when Nairaland got hit last year.
I have had my Bluegate 2kva (24v) inverter since 2011 with 4 x 200Ah batteries connected in series and parallel. So theoretically i have 24 x 400 = 9600watts.
My Inverter is analogue and has a 20A charging which i have noticed is inadequate for the system coz 24v x 20A = 480watts/hr
which means it will take about 9600/480 = 20hrs (on the assumption of 0% DOD). My constrain is that i hardly have NEPA lite and I put on my Gen. from 5pm to 1am each day (8 hrs average) but I noticed that it doesn't really charge the batteries.
I just changed all my four batteries (200ah/Bluegate).
So I am looking for a good Inverter brand with higher capacity of charging 45amps or more
with digital display to show the % charging and discharge coz I intend to increase my battery bank and buy solar panels in the next few months so the Inverter should be able to support the incoming system.
Please I will need ur help guys.
Thanks

On a serious note. I don't understand this "follow the crowd mentality". So those who have diabetics most also buy pop corn and coke? Well I don't believe you must do what ever others do to just enjoy a movie. In worst case scenario, I would just buy soda water. I have always hated popcorn. Never follow the crowd, do what makes YOU happy. As for using cab, that's unnecessary luxury if you clearly can't afford it. Thank God for internet downloads. One should only go to the cinema when you really have money to waste.
FamilyRe: "My Wife Wears Sexy Dresses..but Wouldn't Let Me Touch Her" A Husband by tivta(m): 9:12am On Feb 19, 2015
The law in nigeria states that any marriage that has not had intimacy in a year is qualified for divorce. So the man has legal right to leave her if he hasn't gotten any in a year. The other option is to threaten to leave her and carefully watch her reaction. If she doesn't agree even after that, you have every right to leave her.

Well said but even when the girls are ready to settle ,the so called men go for the age-advanced ones with the excuse that the other is too young.so if una blame girls small una leave them blame the guys cos some of them don't even know what they want.
I can swear with my life that no man will do that unless the woman is mentally unmatured. I know of a lady who is my friend's fiance and she is about 23 yet her mental maturity is that of a 40yr woman. She is one of the few ladies out there that verifies the saying "age is just a number " Her moto is 'don't depend on a man for material things when you can easily get them your self, instead look for a man who will encourage you to be what you want to be '

thanks for the advice.

but it should be the same for guys too
. My dear, the only advice I can give the guys is not to promise to marry and then fail, despite this any matured woman should know when a man is serious enough about marriage, the problem still comes down to the fact that most girls or ladies of that age only see rich men as possible husbands. Instead of doing that, focus more on his loyalty, support, tolerance and above all COMPATABILITY. Eg don't marry a hot tempered man if you are hot tempered.

The truth is dating a woman below 26 years is a difficult task because at that age they are distracted by toasters, they want a man with loads of Money, they want to party and enjoy themselves so any good guy dating them then will face alot of stress from them. They calm down as they age and reduce the standard they set for themselves as they grow Older, the Op has said it all.
. You are very right. When one now asks such girl why they do such, they say they are still young forgetting age flies by as fast as the blink of the eye.

I wish they will listen.

For men, the younger the better.

The truth is many men are looking for a good wife, but have not found yet.

It's not all about money.

I pity young ladies who disregard men that truly love them because he's not very rich.
. Another reason they do this is because most girls follow the "crowd" majority don't have an identity for themselves even after finishing school. All they want is to follow what's trending.
