Agriculture › Importance Of Gully Erosion by tk4rd(op): 2:08pm On Aug 26, 2014
I have been trying to find out...
Can gully erosion be put to any good use.?
Is there any way a gully eroded site can be converted or reclaimed, and used for some other meaningful things.?
Now,,, Let us look at it with a case at hand...
In a town where there is a big gully, and such a town is known for such a big gully, (A town like Nanka in Anambra State); the size of such a gully being as wide as 16 Football fields stacked side by side, and as deep as a 10-storied building..
When it rains, the rate of flow of water in the gully is almost the same as discharging six full water-tankers simultaneously within a minute through an opening as big as a 4m-diameter concrete pipe.
And I am asking, Is there a way this kind of gully and the water flowing through it at such a destructive rate can be converted to something useful.?

If Nano silver can help., then, let it help..
Do we have a chance.?
If we don't have the zmapp, and we have something at hand already, do we wait for zmapp that we don't even have yet.?
Or do we wait until the people are about to die, so that we administer our nanosilver and watch the magic that might follow.?

obailala: I really do not understand the demolition policy even after arresting the culprits.... What if the culprits operate from a rented apartment??

Is it economically sensible to demolish buildings because criminals were arrested in them??
U better wait until the time he catches a kidnapper king-pin in a rented apartment, and he sees nothing else to do other than to destroy the rented apartment, then, u can come up with this...
For your good information, Government does not need these houses, and thus, the need for demolition..
Government might even cherish the land itself better than the house anyway..

Politics › Comparing Governments With The Story Of Two Cows by tk4rd(op): 9:21am On Jul 23, 2014
TWO COWS ~{Matthias Varga}

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbour

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and gives you some milk

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk

NAZISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and shoots you

BUREAUCRATISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk away

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income

ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND (VENTURE) CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more. You sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States , leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the release.
The public then buys your bull. (The figure keeps growing)

SURREALISM
You have two giraffes.
The government requires you to take harmonica lessons.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows.
Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has dropped dead.

A GREEK CORPORATION
You have two cows. You borrow lots of euros to build barns, milking sheds, hay stores, feed sheds, dairies, cold stores, abattoir, cheese unit and packing sheds.
You still only have two cows.

A FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows.

A JAPANESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk.
You then create a clever cow cartoon image called a Cowkimona and market it worldwide.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows,
but you don't know where they are.
You decide to have lunch.

A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity.
You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Both are mad.

AN IRAQI CORPORATION
Everyone thinks you have lots of cows.
You tell them that you have none.
No-one believes you, so they bomb the hell out of you and invade your country.
You still have no cows, but at least you are now a Democracy.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Business seems pretty good.
You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
You have two cows.
The one on the left looks very attractive...

NOW, HOW CAN YOU DESCRIBE NIGERIA...huh

It just doesn't make sense... A lot of adult reasoning is penetrating the children comics.. What would these kids think when they lay hands the old comics.? They would start asking questions about what caused the changes.. And it would happen that there was no storyline that caused the change, just that the authors woke up and did what they liked

Phones › Re: Do You Still Remember Xtracool? by tk4rd: 11:20am On Jul 13, 2014
I still remember dat nyt. Sometime in 2008.
A number called me one night like dat around 2:15am, and was saying some things that I couldn't decode. A very sweet female voice.. I had to ask her whether I was the one she intended calling, but it turned to be wrong dialling. She apologised and dropped the call.
Some few minutes ater, she called again to apologise again, that she mistakenly pressed another number in the course of dialling someone else and it mistakenly became my number. I asked her whether she later spoke wit her guy, she answered positive. I advised her to double-check numbers before dialling, then I dropped the call.
Surprisingly, she called after some fifteen minutes.. She was silent at first. I had to ask her wat happened again, or abi na repeated wrong number again.? She said that she called to tell me dat de person she called was just a friend, and not her guy, but dat's by-the-way, that de main reason she called was to tell me that I have a sweet voice, and that she would like to be calling me and hearing my voice every nyt. I accepted oo. I saved her name then wit "Nyt Missd-Call".
Long and short of it all: We later knew and dated well well.. It was so sweet then. I kept thanking God those days for making MTN pple to introduce night-calls den.

Syenite: You people saying goodnews need ur head re-examined. U people are d real enemies of Nigerian football.
Do u know our U17 team is scheduled to play DR Congo in U17 WC qualifiers next weekend? Do u know our Falconets have travelled to Canada where dey will take part in FIFA U20 WC?

I pray our chalk brained authorities do d needful and get FIFA to reverse the ban.

Haba was Nigeria the only country dat had a disappointing WC ounting?
Going by our reactions in Nigeria, English, Spanish and Italian fans should have murdered all their players and officials by now.

The other day some Nigerians were happy that France beat Nigeria. I don't understand these people. angry
You should direct your anger to the court that caused the wahalla and the persons that initiated the idea of the court order
