i used to know fani kayode as a very strong critic of obasanjo regime but immediately he was appointed as special adviser to obj on media affairs,he changed totally;as if that was not enough,he was appointed minister for aviation due to his undying loyalty to obj.so what happened along the line, where did put the ideas he once had.the fact still remain that we need social critics who are not partisan to neutralize the polity.gani fawehinmi tried to contest election in 2003 and he lost.he left politics and go back to what he used to be.you can canvass for the change you want even as a non -politician because in the long run, partisan critics get induced and become corrupted by conventional politicians
Those who know Fani knows him to always sing and dance to a tune when it favours him and criticises when hes left out
Soyinka isnt like that.
if you dont know what the objectives of a political party is,let me gist you.the main reason for formimg a political is to provide people in occupy public offices.soyinka doesnt need a party to remove iwu from office.i think he's using his opposition to iwu as inec chairman to canvass support for his supposed party.
Bluetooth i went to school and i understand this very well
if Soyinka has decided to be partisan, then ill commend him for not sitting on the fence.

You can only have an impact when ure involved directly and not by throwing comments from abroad. I know Soyinka would not seek for an elective post but like you said, some members of his party if they want can contest elections. If they win and become members of the house, then their opposition agenda will be easy to achieve. You cannot change policies, oppose unfriendly govt manouverings if youre a critic but you can if you positioned in the rightplace to influence decisions. we need good people in government and if we dont support genuine interests from good people, then why are we slating and condemning Yaradua and co?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread! We Are The Red Devils! by tkb417(m): 9:24am On Mar 18, 2010
Berbatov has no place in this kinda games tho he was sublime against Fulham

with Carrick, Fletcher and Park running the middle, Nani and Valencia running show from the wings then we have a case

im very happy with RIO, VIDA and VDS's partnership once again, it will be crucial to our run in

i think Raphael shld play at RB although Gary has been decent in the last 2 games.

i dont know why im not afraid of our fixtures against Pool and Chelsea unlike last season when i almost died of HBP
this saturdays game is a no contest. Nani/Rooney/Valencia combo will kil Pool while RIO/Vida will take out Torres

meaning he wants to be an opposition

its not bad. like i said, he has no plans to rule but to oppose whatever rubbish the rulling party is dishing out
according to the post ( no link tho), the first objective is removing Iwu which is laudable

he doesnt necessarily mean he wants to contest for presidency!!

@ coolG thanks for submission, but categorising the banks will make them consentrate on a particular market,
eg morgage will consentrate on finacing homes , international will concentate on finacing export and import.

i have being to banks in Abuja looking for bankers(mainly branch managers) that understands NXP form for export trasaction but non know it. i have to educate them and where they can get it form.

categorising the bank will make them to be trained in the verious categories, which will forster professionalism
u must have gone to the wrong place asking for the wrong documents.

if you think this structure will enable bank to lend to the real sector? ure joking.
No capitalist will give out money if the money will not yield returns. If the social overheads are not in place, our manufacturing companies are still not making money and not producing at optimum level, no bank will give them money even if the CBN makes pronouncements on that.

why is he not in jail?
the reason we are still grappling with so much problems in this country is because we re-invent bastards

If people like Buhari, IBB, Atiku, OBJ, Tinubu, Ibori, Tafa and all corrupt fools are langusihing in one maximum security prison, we wont be having this news now. why would this poof want to rule Nigeria again?

cant we have some unknown smart professionals like Dora, El Rufai and co?

Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has formed a new political party - DEMOCRATIC FRONT for a PEOPLE'S FEDERATION.
He gave the target of the party as the reformation of the electoral structure, saying, "I don't know if Iwu wants to bribe

Na the women dey rub me to collect free "effects" from me.

Another thing Refusing to pay conductors in Molue buses was also the thrill.

Honeric those Iyana-Ipaja to oshodi Molue.

The trick is stand in front, when they ask you for money tell them someone would pay at the back. By the time the Molue conductor gets to the back we are already at "Ikeja along" and he discovers nobody wan pay for me.

By the time he comes back to ask me I pick a fight by the time the fight settle down we are already at ladipo/Bolade.
If he wants to start a fight tell him "You sabi Sir-kay? Na my friend. In every area theres always a Sir-kay who is a bully.

TIPS: Dont try this during peak traffic hours because you would still be at Iyana Ipaja when the conductor would throw you out.

I worked in both economies and I can say its NOT better in Nigeria

On the average Lagos is more dangerous than the US. I can leave my house at 2am to the gas station. Check the road in Lagos at 2am either you are robbed by Robbers or by Police choose one.

Ok lemme tell you I worked in nigeria in VI(In an organisation most ppl would brag about). I wake up at 4am to beat the traffic and I get home at 11pm atimes 1am whenever GO Adeboye strikes. to wake up 4am again.

No Light, bad roads, Insecurity everything my bro e no easy like dat.

You mean you want the money Nigeria has to offer, but think about the number of ppl queuing for the same thing and forget about merit, you have to grease palms. Its not as easy as you might think in most cases you end up being frustrated and run back to the NY you left behind

There is no inherent advantage to living here in the US if you already have a good degree and its passport. Very very few Nigerians on this site can boast of making anywhere close to $50,000 p.a. That is slave wages . . . you'll be on a mortgage forever, paying for your car piecemeal and watching for the repo man every second. Living on credit cards and hoping for loans to see your kids thru college.

In naija . . . you can make 10 times that amount in one month if you have the right connections. Naija here i come pretty soon! Gen or not, water or not . . . i can build my own mini-local government and enjoy myself.
$50,000 in Naira is N7m

thats like the annual salary for an SBO in a bank. The opportunities in Nigeria if well harnessed should fetch double of that
like you said, you can do just anythn to make money in Nigeria
