Why is Continental Re on full bid? Looks like not much liquidity in this stock. |
Is Milost also interested in Dunlop? Too much activity in the stock today. |
wanaj0:Market and its sentiments are strange... NEM - N2 Continental Insurance - 1.55 Ayam not understanding again... |
onegentleguy:I thought "pun" intended. ![]() |
DeRuggedProf:3 down, 2 to go |
DeRuggedProf:Lol....folks are bailing out. |
RabbiDoracle:The result is unsustainable and APR has just done the wise thing by not raising the bar in dividend payment because they will struggle to match this years performance. Trying to have an even dividend growth seems the only wise option to avoid taking a beating next year. TBills rate are already on the decline and should fall below double digits before year end with the swap of domestic debt for foreign debt. Unclaimed dividend stock will decline because of e-dividend drive and that is another -ve for interest/investment income. They can't even hold onto the unclaimed dividend beyond a certain number of months and must have to transfer this to a third party investment manager. However, i believe they will reach an accord with United Capital on how to share investment income from here. In all i do not believe the fair price quote i am seeing this morning are realistic, but like they say, every mallam with his kettle. |
2zona:Wait for dividend and your dividend will attract witholding tax of 10% and you will be locked in for few more weeks/months because of price mark down. Sell now and take a charge of 1.8% to 2% NSE/SEC/Broker fee and buyback after price mark down if you love the shares so much. Easy decision. |
currentprice:Those who are forecasting a bright future for Oando, FO, Eterna...Please take note. Bright future is from Q2/Q3 2019. |
Agbalowomeri:Lol... |
currentprice:I dey serious o. Never had the problem and i've always used chrome to try. |
Coolcash1:Sure. If you bought during the bull run (last 3 months), its still fair if you annualize that figure. |
kolaish:I am using chrome. It may be slow connection from your location... You can try UC Browser...its fast and may cut it. Most people use it for movie downloads. |
Here we go for Total Nigeria Plc http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/20949_TOTAL_NIGERIA_PLC._CORPORATE_ACTIONS_FEBRUARY_2018.pdf |
kolaish:It works 24/7. Never had the experience you guys are having. Could it be network issues? |
Agbalowomeri:My brother i no fit help am.... |
jimmrozz:I am laughing in Swahili.... |
gloriousdawn:Hmmm...not impossible. I will hold that as maximum with range of 55k - 65k. |
Agbalowomeri: ![]() Really? I am thinking it should downtrend since cash is an alternate source of food. I believe a strategy for Livestock Feeds that can help them remain relevant is to start minting cash. |
emmanuelewumi:True talk. I look forward to market volatility. Without market volatility, its difficult to make money from trades....and this applies to stock, currency and commodity markets. |
RabbiDoracle:You know...i had said this before that their dividend will be in that range but overly optimistic folks were saying it will be much higher. Even APR knows it will be a tough act to match their Q1/Q2 2017 performance. With Treasury bill rates on the decline, they need to look for new opportunities for interest income growth. The may still witness some growth in their registrar fee function because of new sign ons and increasing dividend payments but i doubt it will compensate for the drop in interest income. Time will tell... |
pluto09:Lol.... Troubled Asset. Even the SA guys pushing for an acquisition have taken off. |
IchimokuPilot:Don't worry. Consider it as tuition fee. Heed the advice you have been given on FMN. Everyone knows the saviour will return. We just don't know when.... You'll be Good. |
Toluway:You can't have one P/E for all sectors because each sector e.g Financial Services, Insurance, Agriculture, consumer goods etc have different PE conventions/range driven by the peculiarities of the industry condition. While a PE of 8, using your example, may be considered too high in one sector, it may be too low in another sector. P/E as a stand alone ratio is almost useless and you need to know how to apply it to make sense. The way its been largely touted here to "guestimate" value of stocks is perhaps misleading, and at best an incomplete approach. |
Diamond and FCMB competing on who will loose ground faster..... |
Thanks for sharing. |
Infinitisi:Thanks mate! |
Chibuking81:Not to worry. Your show is intact. The expected rise in price has nothing to do with dividend or fantastic result. Dividend being paid since 2015 FY is a side show. Remember, there is some OANDO DNA in that coy. |
Makers of Indomie Noodles are gradually creating a monopoly in that market. After buying off Dangote's noodle business last year, they are close to buying the noodle division of another quoted company and about to commence talks with yet another quoted company making noodles. Is Dufil Foods company quoted and if so on which board? |
onegentleguy:Hmmm...Like you always say, MR Time will tell in less than 45 days. We are watching. |
kolaish:Look before you leap.... You may be investing in a shell company. The original Dunlop is dead and buried. All known assets including its Head Office in Oba Akran and its factories have been seized by Banks through the court of law. They made attempt to shift production of tyres to Ghana but i am sure that did not work out well. They had a public offer a few years ago and there is no result on how that went. Again, typical case of bad policy affecting coys. They invested a huge sum of money building a new facility after the ban on importation of tyres and as soon as they were done, the ban on new and second tyre importation was lifted by the government of the day. |
